Azara stared at the city of Omashu, amazement on her face at the size and structure of the city. "The Earth Kingdom city of Omashu," Aang smiled, waving his staff towards the city.

"Wow. We don't have buildings like this in the South Pole," Katara gasped, moving to stand next to Azara.

"They have buildings here that don't melt!" Sokka added, causing Azara to chuckle and cross her arms over her chest.

"You guys do realize that most buildings in the world aren't made of snow, right?" she teased as Aang started walking towards the city.

"Well let's go, slow pokes. The real fun's inside the city!" Aang called, but Azara stepped forwards and grabbed him gently by the shoulder.

"We can't just go waltzing into there. What do you think they'll do once they realize that you're the Avatar or that I'm Fire Nation?" she asked him, motioning to their clothes.

"Azara's right, Aang. Which is why you guys need disguises," Sokka spoke, stepping forwards with his hand on his chin as he thought of possible solutions.

"I have Earth Kingdom clothes in my bag," Azara mentioned, walking back up to the saddle to grab her bag. Rifling around, Azara pulled out the brown and green clothes. Sliding down and hiding behind Appa, Azara pulled off her Fire Nation garb and shoved it back into her bag. She was sure that they would come in handy at a later point.

Pulling on the brown capris and undershirt, Azara stared at the green tunic she had bought when Uncle Iroh had insisted upon docking in an Earth Kingdom port a few months ago. Sighing, she put on the tunic and thick brown belt before walking out from behind Appa, her boots in hand. "How do I look?" Azara asked, tossing her bag back up onto Appa's back.

Katara walked over glancing at her attire. "Maybe take out your top knot? That's fairly Fire Nation," Katara suggested as Sokka helped Aang with his disguise.

"Good point," Azara nodded, reaching up and pulling her hair out. Letting her dark locks down, Azara started to braid her long hair as Sokka stepped back from Aang.

"There, you look just like my grandfather," Sokka commented as Aang scratched his head.

"Technically, Aang is 112 years old," Katara pointed out, as Aang continued to scratch himself. Azara chuckled at Aang's disguise, with the bushy white hair and mustache courtesy of Appa's shedding.

"It's so itchy, I don't know how you live in this," Aang stated to Appa, who grumbled in response.

"Are we all ready to go?" Sokka asked as Azara finished braiding her hair.

"Ready!" the group shouted as Sokka turned to look at Azara for the first time since she had changed. He raised his eyebrows in surprise as she walked past him.

"What?" Azara questioned, noting Sokka's weird expression.

"Nothing, you just look . . . different," Sokka stated, causing Katara to raise an eyebrow as Azara looked increasingly confused.

"Uh . . . thanks?" Azara replied before Aang tugged her towards Omashu.

"Different?" Katara teased as she followed behind Aang and Azara.

"I . . . just shut up," Sokka sighed, pulling up the rear. Azara walked alongside Aang as he leaned on his glider like a cane. They were drawing closer to the entrance of Omashu and Azara could see the guards in the distance.

"You guys are going to love Omashu. The people here are the friendliest in the world," Aang expressed as Azara glanced up at the guards.

"Rotten cabbages? What kind of slum do you think this is?" the guard huffed, stomping on the ground and sending a cart of cabbages into the air.

"No! My cabbages!!!" the merchant cried as his cart fell into the gorge separating Omashu from the surrounding area. Azara and Katara shared concerned looks.

"I'm being suffocated by the kindness already," Azara retorted sarcastically, her face in a deadpan expression.

"Just keep smiling," Aang suggested, a wide smile on his own face. As they reached the guards, one stepped forwards, holding a large boulder over Aang.

"State your business!" one of the guards demanded, prompting Aang to walk quickly towards him.

"My business is my business, young man, and none of yours! I've got half a mind to bend you over my knee and paddle your backside!" Aang snapped in his old man voice, poking the man's chest several times as Azara, Katara, and Sokka shared surprised and concerned expressions.

"Settle down, old timer! Just tell me who you are," the guard amended, raising his hands to show no harm.

"Name's Bonzu Pippinpaddleopsicopolis, the Third, and these are my grandkids," Aang introduced, motioning towards his three friends, who each had a nervous smile.

"Hi. June Pippinpaddleopsicopolis. Nice to meet you," Katara stated, stepping forwards, a good-natured smile on her face.

"You seem like a responsible young lady. See that your grandfather stays out of trouble. Enjoy Omashu!" the guard nodded, turning, and signaling for the doors to open.

"We will!" Katara promised, the same smile plastered on her face. Azara smiled nervously at the guards as they walked by.

"That was too close," Azara sighed to herself as the guard yelled out at them again, grabbing Sokka by his coat.

"Wait a minute! You're a young strong boy! Show some respect for the elderly and carry your grandfather's bag," the guard ordered Sokka as Aang removed his shoulder bag.

"Good idea!" Aang swung his bag into Sokka's arms before the three walls of the city opened in front of them. Walking quietly through the walls, the group stared in awe at the city, which was filled with several intricate buildings and a series of slides.

"This is the Omashu delivery system. Miles and miles of tubes and chutes," Aang explained as several earthbenders worked together to send various packages through the chutes. "Eartbending brings the packages up and gravity brings them down."

"Great, so they get their mail on time," Sokka sighed dramatically, an unimpressed expression on his face.

"They do get their mail on time, but my friend Bumi found a better use for these chutes," Aang replied, smirking mischievously.

"Why does that concern me?" Azara asked as they followed Aang through the streets of Omashu. They found an unused cart and Aang had dragged them over to a chute entrance. Azara gripped the sides of the cart hard enough that her knuckles were turning white.

"One ride. Then we're off to the North Pole. Airbender's honor," Aang promised as Azara stared down at the slide with mild fear.

"I think I'm going to be sick," she commented, causing Sokka to look over at her.

"Are you afraid of heights?" he asked from behind her.

"I'm afraid of falling to my death from this. But, yeah, sure. Let's say that I'm afraid of heights," Azara shrugged as the cart tilted again.

"It sounded fun at first, but now that I'm here, I'm starting to have second—," Katara started before Aang tipped the cart forwards, sending them down the shut. "—thoughts!" Azara clenched her eyes shut and screamed as the cart hurried down the chute. Turning around a sharp corner, Azara was thrown back into Sokka's chest, causing the Water Tribe boy to grunt.

They pulled up alongside a cart of spears, Azara and Sokka sharing similarly scared expressions. The two chutes merged, the cart of spears becoming dangerously close to them. Azara leaned forwards, hugging Katara from behind as Sokka slid down to avoid being impaled.

"A little help, Aang!" Azara shouted as the spears inched closer.

"I'm on it!" he yelled back, tilting the cart from side to side. The cart fell off the chute, landing on top of a building before continuing on. They crashed through another chute, before landing back into a chute and continuing to slide down.

"Aang, do something! Use your airbending!" Katara called, as a wide grin overtook Aang's face.

"Yeah! Good idea! That'll make us go even faster!" With a wave of Aang's hand and a blast of air, they sped faster down the chute.

"Great idea, Katara," Azara snipped, gripping the sides of the cart like her life depended on it. Sliding down the chute, the group noticed the still cart in front of them. Screaming out in fear, the group relaxed once an earthbender moved it out of the way. However, moments later, another cart appears from below, blocking their path.

They screamed out in fear as they crashed into the cart, sending them flying into the air. Aang spun around, using his airbending to right the cart. Falling back into the cart, they slid down another roof before crashing through a series of houses. They fell on top of another cart of cabbages, startling and angering the merchant man from before.

"My cabbages!! You're going to pay for this!" the merchant from before cried as several guards moved to surround their group.

"Uh, two cabbages please," Aang smiled sheepishly as they were roughly hauled to their feet and marched towards the palace.
