~ (Brooke's POV) ~

I was still sat on the chair next to Dad's hospital bed.

It was now Half Six in the Morning and I hadn't really slept, how could I have slept when my Dad almost died!

"Brooke?" I heard Dad mutter softly.

I lifted my head and looked at my Dad. "I'm here," I told him softly and held his hand.

He smiled. "You are brilliant," He told me and used the button on his remote to sit up a little bit. "You're the best thing that could have happened to me!"

I shook my head. "Dad you need to rest, it's just the medication talking," I told him.

He's probably a bit loopy after the amount of gas and air he was given.

"No Brooke, you helped me last night more then you will ever know," He told me.

I watched as my Dad's eyes were starting to water.

"How did I help you?" I asked quietly.

Dad blow out a shaky breath. "A memory helped me. A memory of you and I playing you favorite game," He told me.

"You remembered our games of hide and seek?" I asked and my eyes started to water.

Dad's hand tightened around my own. "I remembered the look of surprise on your face every time I found you, and how happy you was knowing I'd always find you," He explained and a tear dropped down his cheek.

I sniffled. "I love you Dad and I'm so bloody glad your alive," I told him and kissed his head.

"I love you too Boo," He told me with a smile. "You should go home and rest," He told me.

I shook my head. "You need me," I told him.

"You have a two year old son at home who needs you more than I do," He pointed out. "Come back this afternoon, with Callum and Harlee."

I nodded. "Okay, get better soon Dad," I ordered him playfully. "Do not leave!"

I left the hospital and caught a cab home where Callum and Harlee were waiting for me; I really should get my car out again but with Dad running around the city cabs are just easier!

As I headed up to the flat I saw Callum was dressed and awake sitting on the sofa with his phone in his hands and Harlee was asleep next to the window.

Callum looked over to the door way then ran at me, hugging me tightly. "Explain everything now!" He told me.
"Mummy?" Harlee mumbled in a sleepy voice and rubbed his little eyes.

I ran over to him and hugged him tightly. Harlee didn't say a word, he just wrapped his little arms around my neck.

"Brooke, what the hell happened?" Callum asked.

I sat on the sofa with Harlee on my lap. "Dad was on a case for Lady Smallwood. She asked Dad to get back some important letters and in order to do that Dad, John and myself broke into Magnussen's office then Dad went snooping without John and I then he got shot," I explained.

"How the bloody hell did you brake into Magnussen's office?" Callum asked.

"Well you see Dad and Janine's relationship was fake. Dad was lying to Janine the whole time but Janine didn't know so Dad proposed to Janine so she would to let us in because Janine is Magnussen's PA," I told explained.

Callum's jaw hung wide open. "Seriously?" He asked.

"Seriously!" I exclaimed.

Callum huffed. "Wow so how's Sherlock doing?" He asked.

"He's alive and awake but later this afternoon he wants to see us," I told him.

"Us?" Callum asked.

I nodded. "Me, you and Harlee," I told him.

Callum sighed. "Okay, but I swear to God if he has some crazy plan to put us all in danger then I swear I'll shoot him myself!" He told me.

That got me thinking; Why did Dad need to see us both, what was he not telling me back at the hospital?

------ (Shot time skip later) -----

I had got a text from Dad telling me to bring some clothes for him to wear.

I packed a bag with a clean shirt, trousers, socks, shoes and a few other things, and the three of us got into Callum's car and headed to the hospital. Callum and I both held Harlee's hands as we walked through the hospital. Harlee had brought his lion teddy to show Dad and bring him lot's of love to make him feel better.

We were about to walk into Dad's room but I stop and noticed Janine talking to Dad; Well what does she want now?

Callum thought it would be best if we waited out here until they had finished and thankfully soon enough they were. Janine walked out the room and me a disgusted look then walked off mumbling things to herself.

The three of us went into Dad's rooms.

"What was she doing here?" I asked him.

Dad sighed. "She's brought a cottage and is going to live there," He told me. "Oh and she's not happy about us lying to her."

I frowned. "There was no 'us' just you," I pointed out.

"I did tell her," Dad told me.

"Lock, okay?" Harlee asked and tried to climb on the bed.

"I'm fine," Dad told him as Callum sat Harlee on the edge of the bed, Harlee sat his teddy next to Dad and smiled at the two.

Callum pulled up a chair and sat next to me. "Alright Sherlock what did you need us for?" He asked Dad.

Dad sat up a bit more. "Mary Watson was the person who shot me," He told us quietly.

It was like my world stopped. John's wife shot Dad!

"As in John's wife, Mary?" Callum asked.

"Yes that one," Dad confirmed.

I didn't know what to say, I couldn't find the words. All I knew was that I was angry... Mary Watson shot my own Father, why on earth would she do that and more importantly why was she after Magnussen?

"What happen's now?" Callum asked as he held my hand.

Dad looked at me. "Brooke you need to promise me not to lose it at any point, okay?" He asked me.

"I'll try," I whispered even though I know when it comes down to it I will probably lose it.

"Okay here's the plan," Dad began. "I need you to get me out of here, find Billy Wiggins and get me to Leinster Gardens."

"Wait a minute who and where?" Callum asked in confusion.

Then I realised. "Leinster Gardens. There are two fake houses that he won in a card game," I explained. "Why there?"

"It's a place where no one will look for me," He told me. "Well expect for Mary, I have a few leads that I'm following up on."

"Where will Bill Wiggins be?" Callum asked.

"He's currently in an abandoned house on St James' Street," Dad told him. "Brooke I need you to set up a projection of Mary's face on the front of the houses, just as a warning."

I just wanted to cry. "Dad why did she do this?" I asked sadly.

"Magnussen know's something about her, something about her past and she's scared," Dad told me then looked to Callum. "I understand I'm asking a lot of you due to working with my brother and your father but please, I need your assistance, both of you."

Callum and I both looked at each other and nodded. "We'll do it," Callum told him. "This plan stays between us."

Harlee looked at Callum and tilted his head to the side. "Like a secret?" He asked.

We all shared a small smile. "A big secret," Dad told him. "So you can't tell anyone, okay?"

"Okay!" Harlee said excitedly.

Callum stood up and gave Sherlock the bag. "We'll be back in about three hours so be dressed, we'll have our guns and Harlee will be with my Dad," He told Dad.

"If anything goes wrong-" Dad began.

"Nothing will go wrong," Callum cut him off. "We'll see you soon."

The three of us left and we got under way with the plan!
