You felt Tedros grab your hand and his muffled yelling rang in your ear, he kicked, he hit your arm. Until he stopped, you looked over your shoulder and he was still, you knew he was dead. Leonora shut his eye lids and walked back over to you “Tomorrow, you shall announce that your husband, the king. Is dead. Then you shall announce you will be staying at the school for good to see to some business. Alright?” You nodded and she gave you a quick hug and a kiss, before turning into a raven and flying back out the window.
The rest of the night you didn't look at Tedros, you couldn't, it unnerved you. That morning you left the room, tears rolling down your face. You walked to one of the guards and whispered “The king is dead.” They all ran to his room and you wiped the tears away, your mother rushed over to you and hugged you “Im so sorry dear, only a few days after your wedding as well.” You cried into her chest. You weren't crying because of Tedros, of course you weren't. You cried because of Leonora, doing bad deeds without even thinking twice, she killed a young boy. But again, your mother had killed people, so had your father.
Later that day you told your mother about your trip “Im going to the school for good. Today, mother.” Your mother raised an eyebrow “I see, shall I come with you?” You shook your head “No, I need a long time to myself and be able to think.” Your mother got up from her chair “But Camelot needs it's queen.” You held her hands in yours “That's why I shall be leaving you in charge whilst I'm gone.” Your mother hugged you, you knew this whole plan was to get her to rule over the kingdom. So you let her, it wouldn't be your problem anymore.
You had to do a speech on a balcony, a speech that'd shake the bones of the people in Camelot “The king is dead.” Everything went silent “He died in his sleep due to sleeping face down in the pillow and suffocating, I shall be leaving Camelot due to this, I need time to reflect over my....Husband's death.” You wanted to throw up at the fact you called him your husband. “Whilst I am gone my mother shall be in charge.” Whispers spread over the people, due to your mother's title, they had grown uneasy.
You walked off of the balcony and grabbed your bags, you looked in the mirror at your black dress and black veil, you where required to wear a mourning dress to Respect the king's death. Of course you hadn't willingly put it on, when you climbed into the carriage you looked out at the castle, it was beautiful place just not a place you'd be able to call home. During the ride to the School for good and evil you fiddled with the ring Leonora had got you, it sat on your ring finger instead of your wedding ring. Which you through into the castles moat.
The ride back was long, and bumpy. The blue forest seemed to be alive whilst riding through it, you remembered the children would be back to school in a few days. And you'd get to teach them, you enjoyed the idea, you looked out of the window and saw the schools. The carriage stopped, “We can't go any further ma'am, sorry.” You got out holding your bags “Dont worry about it, I'll get over. Thank you for the ride.” The man tipped his hat at you “My condolences as well your majesty.” You gave him a small smile and walked away,
You walked through the forest until you noticed the black castle walls and the gate “Thank god.” With a flick of your wrist the gates opened and you stepped inside.
The wolf guards at the door noticed you and gripped their weapons “Who's that!” The other guard realized it was you and elbowed the guard “Its Lady Lesso's girlfriend, put your weapon down you idiot!” You chuckled and they stood straight as you walked passed them “Thank you boys.” You walked through the palace walls and sighed, this was the one placed you'd call home. “Lessy?” As you got closer to her room you began to call out her name “Leonora!” You opened her doors but she wasn't in there.
“Lesso?” That's when you felt someone pick you up “Boo!” You yelled and she started to laugh “Oh that was not funny Leonora!” She laughed and hugged you tightly “So did my plan work as well as I expected?” You nodded and rolled your eyes “Perfect.” Leonora then took the ring she gave you from your finger “Hey, what are you doing.” She held your hand and stood Infront of you “Im doing this properly.”
She then got down on one knee “Y/n Mills, will you marry me?” Now, who where you to say no? “Yes!” She slipped the ring back onto your finger and got up to kiss you. You heard a snap of a camera “Got it!” Of course Clarissa was around the corner celebrating “God I've been waiting for you two to do that for AGES.” You chuckled as Clarissa fanned the photo in the air “This is going in my photo album.” And just like that, Tedros was forgotten he was a thing of the past. An obstacle you had to jump over, you wondered if Clarissa new about Tedros's death.
Once you and Leonora was alone you asked her “Lessy, does Clarissa know about Tedros?” Leonora shook her head as she pet Angel “What did you tell her?” Leonora got up holding Angel and looked over at you “I simply told her, you and Tedros came to an agreement that you shouldn't get married and you where coming home.” It was a fair excuse. In fact it was a very realistic one.
“Now would you like to see your classroom?” You nodded and she led you to a room in the dungeons, “Wow.” It had a chalkboard and desk, small windows and many different pieces of decoration “Now, I don't want you making our students go soft.” You gave her a smirk and walked around “I can not promise anything Lady Lesso.” She put Angel down and walked around the room “So will you be taking my last name.” You walked behind your desk and sat down “Well I'm definitely not being called Y/n Mills for the rest of my life.”
“So you'll be Mrs Lesso then?” You nodded “Obviously.” You spun around in the chair “Jesus Christ your a child.” You stoped spinning and giggled “Loosen up Lessy, you don't have to be big and scary just yet. Even though you are just a big softy.” Leonora raised her eyebrow and walked over to you “Shall we take this to the Doom Room, then we'll see who's a softy.” You felt your cheeks grow hot and Leonora's smirk grew wider.
“As much as I LOVE you two being all cute together, can you guys help me with sorting out the Library. I'm missing a book and I just can't find it anywhere.” You and Leonora looked over at Clarissa who was standing in the hallway “Course we can help Clarissa.” You got up from your chair and dragged Leonora out of the Classroom.
You and Leonora held hands all the way to the Ever castle, Clarissa looked behind at you two, so happy and in love. It almost made her sad to see it, once you arrived in the library you asked Clarissa what book it was that she was missing “It's the book on Magical Diseases.” You nodded and the three of you split up searching different parts of the library for this book. You searched all the low levels of the library, Clarissa searched all the Medium ones and Leonora searched the highest ones.
“Why do you need this book anyway Clarissa?” You looked over at her and she was coughing into the cloth, she coughed something up along with blood “Clarissa are you alright?” She folded the cloth and put it into the Library's bin “Yes, I'm fine. Just a little under the weather. I need this book because, I want to make sure the students can find the answers to any questions they have about magical diseases.”
“Whats you favorite magical disease?” Leonora asked the question to both you and Clarissa, Leonora answered her own question “Mine would be Greyscale.” You shivered at the thought of that disease, reading about it made you want to throw up, then Clarissa responded with “I don't like any of the diseases they are all nasty and awful.” You thought about yours, “Mine would have to be....the Hanahaki disease. Only a few people have ever gotten it and it seems really interesting.”
The search for the book continued for hours until “Found it!” You lifted up the book from a dusty old corner and brushed it off, Clarissa rushed over “Thank goodness, I started to think I was going mad!” Clarissa took the book from you, but you noticed something. A small trickle of blood coming from her mouth, “Clarissa-” you pointed at the corner of her mouth and she wiped it away.
She then began to cough up more blood than you had expected “Leonora!” You held Clarissa as she fell back a bit, Leonora rushed over “Whats happened.” You felt Clarissa's temperature “Shes sick.” You held onto Clarissa's right arm and Leonora held onto her left, you both led her to her room to rest, “Really, I'm fine.” You pointed at the blood in her hands “No you aren't. Now come here and sit down.” Leonora sat with Clarissa on her bed as you went to get a wash cloth.
You washed the blood from her mouth and hands, as you cleaned her up Leonora got out her Pyjamas “Oh no, I can't rest. I've got to prepare things for the students.” You shook your head and stood up “No Clarissa, I can sort that all out, you just need to rest.” Leonora put the Pyjamas down next to Clarissa.
She picked them up and went into her bathroom locking the door. “Is she okay.” You looked and Leonora with an unimpressed look “I can't believe you just asked that, does she look okay!?” Leonora shook her head. You could hear Clarissa coughing again and then heard the sound of the toilet flushing. She unlocked the door and left the bathroom, her crown was still on her head so you walked over and carefully took it off and put it at her bedside.
She climbed into bed and sighed “Y/n, you promise everything will be sorted out in time?” You nodded and gave her a small smile “You'll have to be the Dean for a while then. Until I'm better that is.” You agreed and gave her a kiss on the forehead “Get some sleep Clarissa.” You and Leonora wished her a goodnight before leaving her room and going downstairs to talk about what to do, now that Clarissa was sick and couldn't take part in teaching her Students.
After you both had left Clarissa began to cough, and cough. Until she had a flower, resting in her palm.
