"Haaaaah....finally a day to relax. Haven't had one of these in ages...." You exhaled deeply as you laid happily on a reclining beach chair.

Mendō had been kind enough to invite a bunch of you to a private pool that his family owned, for the day. It was an opportunity for you to properly unwind for a little while and not have anything too crazy happen.

"Oh man!! Just look at this place! So many hot babes to scout! Jackpot!!!"

You could hear Ataru from where you were at and opened one of your eyes to look at him. He was scanning the area, presumably to find a girl he wanted to try and hit on.

"I wish him luck with that....most of the girls here look to be taken...." You mumble as you close your eye again.

"He really doesn't take any hints does he?" A familiar voice came from beside you, and you opened your other eye this time to peek.

There in the chair beside you, was Sakura wearing a purple and yellow one piece swimsuit, along with a pair of sunglasses.

"Oh, hi Sakura. I didn't notice you there when I came to sit down." You greeted her and got a friendly smile and wave in return.

"I didn't realise it was you until I heard you speak. Plus, I didn't really want to disturb you seeming as you look quite relaxed." She said.

"Yeah....the first time in a long time....not just that, it's quality time with Lum. Haven't had too much of that recently. With her being a part of big events on her home planet, plus meeting her friends." You say, shuddering a little when you remembered meeting Oyuki and all that went on.

"Darling-cha!!!" Lum called out for you.

"And speaking of Lum....." You say while turning over and spotting your wife walking over to you, with Shinobu by her side.

Lum was wearing a bright orange one piece bathing suit that had white dots on it, and Shinobu wore a light pink two piece bathing suit.

"Hi! You both look nice!" You smile as Lum beams and floats over to you, snuggling gently into your chest as she giggled.

"Thank you darling-cha!!" She swooned and kissed you on the cheek.

Shinobu on the other hand, was blushing at your compliment as she sat down beside the chair.

"Th-thank you Y/N-Kun....." She trailed off and covered her face as her blushing got even worse.

Despite her embarrassment, she still felt jealous of Lum and wanted to be in that position. But she was still to scared to ask you about it, and was putting it off for now.

She didn't want to push it back forever though and wanted to tell you how she felt. She was just waiting for the right time to do so.

For a little while, you sat there with Lum cuddled up to you and it was really peaceful. Before Ataru found his way over, and immediately started hitting on Sakura, whom he had just noticed was there.

"Oh wow Miss Sakura!!! You're looking mighty fine today baby!!" He tried to climb on top of her, but Sakura stopped him by punching him fiercely.

The force of the punch sent him flying into the air and he soon fell into the pool with a massive splash.

"Pervert...." Sakura panted and grumbled before she took a deep breath and flicked her hair back.

"If you'll all excuse me a moment....I'm just going to get some more ice cream. Would anyone like to come with me?" She asked.

"Nah I'm good. I might go a little later." You said, not really wanting to move from your position with Lum.

She nodded and walked off to the snack bar.

"What was all the commotion about?" Mendō asked as he joined you all poolside.

"Ataru. Do I need to explain more?" You looked up at Mendō who shook his head.

"Didn't think so...." You sighed and laid back again, but only for a few moments.

You had expected Ataru to return to the surface by now, but there was no sign of him. Despite his perverted nature and the way he acted, he was still your friend.

And right now you were concerned about him.

"Ataru hasn't come back up yet.....maybe Sakura hit him a bit too hard...." You said before gently nudging Lum to stand up.

Once she did, you stood up too and walked to the side of the pool.

"I'll be a minute." You said before diving in and started swimming to the bottom.

As soon as you dived in, you could see Ataru at the bottom of the pool. He was sat down at a table with a creature. Not only that, but there was a cabinet down there as well.

"What the hell? Why is that down here?" You thought to yourself, confused.

"What's this? Another visitor?! This really is a good day!" The creature spoke, seemingly ecstatic to see you.

You swam up beside Ataru, who quickly slapped your hand and shot back up to the surface at high speed.

"Was he seriously sat down here?" You thought as you watched him.

"Oh dear! I don't seem to have enough snacks! Wait a moment and I'll go and get some!" The creature said to you before heading back up to the surface as well.

"...what the hell is going on?" You were even more confused now than before.

Not wanting to stay down here much longer, you started to swim back up to the surface too. However, you saw practically everyone jump into the pool now too.

"Darling-Cha!!" Lum spoke under the water and swam down to you, wrapping her arms around you and quickly dragging you back to the surface.

Once back up there, she tried dragging you to the edge of the pool but you stopped her.

"I-I'm fine Lum! I was already on my way back up to you!" You said.

"Ohhhhh....okay! It's just that Ataru said there was some kind of monster down there-cha! I thought something was going to happen to you!!" She said, hugging you tightly as she let out a relieved sigh.

You smiled and hugged her back.

"Thanks Lum. It's reassuring to know that you have my back....but the thing that was down there wasn't a monster. It actually seems like quite a nice creature and was genuinely happy to see me. It only went off to get snacks." You explained and looked up when you heard some people panicking.

There was the pool dwelling creature, waddling it's way across the room towards the pool. It jumped back in and made its way back down to everyone else, who were still arguing.

Soon enough, everyone resurfaced including the creature. You all climbed out of the pool and Mendō soon got to explaining to the creature that it couldn't be here.

"But why?! I haven't been causing any harm! If you let me continue living at the bottom of your pool, I can do any form of work you want me too! Just please let me stay!!" It pleaded with him, but Mendō was not having any of it.

To you, it did seem pretty cruel not letting the creature stay. It hadn't done anything to harm anyone yet and just seemed like it was chill.

But in the end, it was up to Mendō and he had already made his mind up.

Dejected, the creature jumped back into the pool and emerged a few minutes later with all of its belongings.

Before it waddled away too far, you caught up to you and crouched down.

"I'm sorry he's kicking you out. You seem pretty harmless." You say.

"I am! But if I am not welcome here, then I must find a new home!" It responded.

"Do you need any help doing that?" You offered.

"That's very kind, but I'll be okay!" It said before lifting one of its flippers and waving at you.

"I'll see you again maybe!" It said as it began to walk away towards the bathrooms.

You waved back at it as it walked away.

"Take care!" You called out as it disappeared.

You sighed and turned around to rejoin everyone else, who was sat around eating ice cream.

"Darling! Is everything alright-cha?" Lum asked as you sat back down next to her.

"Yeah yeah. Just hope the little guy finds a nice place to live." You said to her as she smiled back at you and gently laid her head on your chest.

"I'm sure it will-cha." She sighed contentedly and nuzzled your chest gently.

You smiled and gently rubbed her head again like earlier, now just wanting to enjoy the peaceful surroundings with your friends.

"A lot seems to have been going on lately....especially ever since the whole near alien takeover of Earth....but I'm not gonna complain. A lot of good has come out of it." You looked down at Lum and smiled.

She had made a massive impact on your life since coming into it. At first you didn't know how you would get on, suddenly being thrown into a married life with someone who really did genuinely seem to love you a lot.

But you would not trade it for anything else in the world.

"That was a nice day. I really enjoyed it." You said as you walked back home with Lum, hand-in-hand.

"It was-cha! We should do trips like that more often!" She cheered happily, as she leapt at you and hugged your arm.

"I'm glad you're enjoying being around everyone. Especially Ataru, who could easily try and hit on you and make you uncomfortable." You said.

"It doesn't bother me-cha! Mainly because he always goes for other girls anyway." She replied making you nod your head.

That made you think now that Ataru was actually starting to respect the fact that Lum was with you and decided to leave her alone.

"I mean we are friends. It's not completely impossible that's the case." You thought to yourself.

Eventually, you came up to the front door of your house. Taking out the key, you unlocked the door and pushed it open allowing Lum to walk inside first before you followed her in and closed the door behind you.

"We're back!" You called out.

Your mothers head poked out from the kitchen, she smiled and waved when she saw you.

"Hi sweetie! Dinner will be ready very soon!" She said before disappearing back into the kitchen again.

"Okay!" You acknowledged before heading upstairs.

You were about to head into your room, when you heard noises coming from the bathroom.

Slowly, you opened the door and nearly jumped out of your skin when you saw the creature from Mendō's pool sat in a bathtub full of water, holding a small bowl of rice and some chopsticks.

"Oh hello there! Fancy seeing you here!" It said with a close eyed smile and a wave as you recomposed yourself and cleared your throat.

"S-So this is your new place then? Our....upstairs bathroom?" You asked.

"Mhm! I did not realise that you lived here! But this makes it even better! You are nice and we can be friends right?" It said, a tinge of hopelessness in its eyes and voice.

You shrugged and nodded your head.

"Eh, I don't see why we can't be. Just as long as I can still use the bathroom." You said.

"Oh yes don't worry! You'll be able to do that! I promise I'll try not to get in the way too much!" It said before digging into the rice it was given.

"Cool." You said before walking out and shutting the door behind you.

"What was all that-cha?" Lum asked as you walked into your room.

"Our friend from Mendō's pool has taken up residence in our bathroom for now." You said as you sat down on your bed.

"We'll see how long it is before one of my parents say it has to go. I think I have a few ideas where to go of that does happen...." You say, starting to think about those places.
