The day prior had gone by quite fast, she played board games with Luke and the others. It was less competitive compared to when she played against the Ares kids and she actually won some of the rounds (which she was very proud of).

She didn't really speak to Clarisse at all that day, however she did sit with them for lunch.

Later she went to go play hide and seek with some of the other kids, it was probably the happiest she had been in the past few days.

There were lots of happy giggles and some new core memories for the kids that afternoon, it kept her mind off of what was troubling her.

That night she wanted so bad to sit with Alex, but the thing she wanted most was for Percy to be back so they could sit together at the Poseidon table. She even missed Grover a bit, because he was funny sometimes too.

When guppy woke up the next day, she had been waking up for the past few days in the Hermes cabin opting to stay with Luke and the others than on her own, the stinging of her hands was slowly going away but plasters were still adorned as a reminder of the previous twenty four hours and the previous hours before that.

She knew she was very smart because she knew there was a whole twenty four hours in a day, she learnt that when her mama taught her how hours worked and how if it was after twelve then it changes to thirteen even though you would say one pm instead of thirteen pm.

In all honesty even Guppy was pretty confused when her mama first taught her how to count the hours. It was almost as confusing as Percy's maths books for big kids, the only big kid thing guppy isn't jealous of.

But Sally taught guppy how to use her fingers to count the time, when it was thirteen you would hold up one finger, fourteen, two, fifteen, three.

When she opened her eyes she almost immediately shut them, the bright light of the sun shining in through the glass windows blinding her as it shine in her eyes.

She took a moment to slowly wake up and process where she was and what she remembered. Her chest felt heavy as she thought about the previous events.

She didn't truly know why her tiny mind was so caught up about it, Gabe would have said she was over reacting.

Guppy didn't fully understand what the meant, but if she tripped and scraped her knee he would say she over reacted she thought that when he said it he was being unfair because Gabe was a big baby and would always whine and complain, even more than guppy herself! The actual child. And go on about how Women are always so dramatic and moody.

Normally her mama would say a snarky comment back but right now all she could hear was his voice in her head calling her dramatic and a big baby, she was anything but a baby.

However because of the previous few days events her little heart was shattered.

She begrudgingly sat up, her back and neck was a bit sweaty making her baby hairs stick to the back of her neck.

She rubbed her eyes, trying to get the tiredness out of them, like her mom says...said.

Like her mom said.

Anyways, she found Sparky down by her leg. How she got down there Guppy will never know. She pulled the milk chocolate coloured bunny out from the blanket and stood up, wobbling slightly while holding on tightly to the bunny as she stumbled out her sleeping bag and out the Hermes cabin.

She could hear the loud chatter and banter of the older kids outside the cabin. She trudges out with a big yawn through the open heavy wooden doors.

"Well hello there sleepyhead." She heard him before she saw him, Luke came up behind her and held onto her shoulders, directing her away from tumbling down the porch steps.

She mumbled in her half tired wake about going back to bed only to be met with: "No, it's almost time for breakfast kiddo." Luke said smiling down at the much shorter girl.

"Nooo." She whined trying to run back into the cabin. He strode after her and scooped the little girl up. She wrapped her plaster covered hands around his neck and rested her forehead against his shoulder.

After she got ready she made sure to hold onto sparky tight as they went to eat breakfast.

She had her pancakes and strawberries with maple syrup, not chocolate syrup. Yes guppy did love chocolate but she absolutely hated the texture of chocolate syrup.

The girl would occasionally glancing over to her best friend Sam, who was pulling super funny faces over to her from the Apollo table.

Sometimes she wished she could go sit with him instead of her older friends.

After lunch, which was several hours later, she wandered off to go to Clarisse and ended up sitting down with them.

Isa was doing her hair while she had sparky on her lap, playing with her floppy ears.

"What is with you and that stupid rabbit anyways?" Clarisse asked the girl. She pouted and shuffled so she could face Clarisse.

Her ocean blue eyes met Clarisse's dark brown ones.

"It's not stupid." She mumbled quietly.

"Hey she's basically like a new born baby Clarisse, don't little kids like toys?" Max said, the last part being a genuine question.

"Oh look at that, Max actually is using his brain for once in his life! Shocker. Yes Max. She's six. She likes toys. What do you want, a sticker?" Isa responded sarcastically, earning a bright giggle from the young Jackson.

The older girl continued to French plait the younger girls hair, doing one play coming in from the larger part of her side parting and into a normal plaid. Guppy didn't know how to plait hair, but she always used to watch Sally in the mirror when she did it for her.

The way her fingers would weave the hair into an intricate pattern always mesmerised the young girl. One day she hopes she could learn to plait her own hair, just like her mama did.

When Isa finished the girls hair she rushed to the bathrooms as fast as she could to have a look in the mirrors, standing on her tallest tip toes to lean in the mirror.

She liked it. It was different to her normal hair, her normal hair being just down because she didn't know how to do any hairstyles, her mama did it for her normally.

She balanced her teddy between her shoulder and neck so she could reach back and feel the plait with both hands, the familiar feeling of the bumps and pattern of the hairstyle.

A while later she wandered around looking for Sam, he was almost always in his usual spots but today Guppy could not find him at all.

Had he gone somewhere new? Maybe he found a new secret hideout without her. If he had she would most definitely be somewhat upset. He can't have two secret hideouts. Especially without telling her.

She looked around for what felt like forever as the sun slowly kissed the horizon. She somehow ended up wandering into the woods and heading on the way to their hide out to check if he was there.

That was the only spot she hadn't checked. After the five minutes she made it there and looked at the message etched into the tree.

She heard some footsteps and turned around with a jump, could it have been the monsters going to chase her again?

She braced herself only to be met with... Luke.

"Hey kiddo? What are you doing out here. It's getting dark. I've been looking for you." She turned and walked over to him.

"I can't find Sam." She frowned looking up at him.

"Hey, I just saw him with the Apollo kids walking back from dinner- you didn't eat, did you? Too busy looking for him?" He said stepping closer to the young girl. She looked down at her purple sneakers.

He just chuckled before walking forward and picking her up, her chin automatically going to rest in his shoulder and holding her bunny dangling over his shoulder as they started to walk back.

The gentle footsteps slowly lulling her into a calm sleep, guppy couldn't help but feel like the walk was almost too long, like they should have been back by now but she trusted Luke.

What she didn't notice, was how her precious bunny had slipped out her slowly unconscious hold a few minutes back.

He felt the little girl go limp in his arms as she fell asleep. "I'm so sorry, Gracie." He said quietly as he walked farther and farther away from camp half blood.

Heyy guyss
I spent my morning in hospital because of a severe chest infection!!! How cutesy (not rlly bahah)

Also the story about guppy using her fingers to 'count the hours' was actually like how I learnt how to read military time when I was younger and I felt it was cute and to include it.

Sorry this chapter is a tiny bit shorter than normal I've been writing it for four hours straight and I've gotten absolutely no where (it's 2AM rn)
Also I didn't spell check it bc I'm going to sleep lmao

I think this chapter is kinda getting started with the main focus point for season one now, and if you've seen my tik toks I'm assuming you guessed it or just know it already but I've left some hints in the last few chapters.

My birthday is also next week and I'm turning 14 yayyyyyy

I'm going to bed now
-Gigi OUT see ya
