"Just exploring things?"

Nora avoided eye contact. I can't say it, I cannot do it. "Yeah, just exploring things." She repeated and nodded. George frowned and crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Walking around in an unfamiliar area to learn about it?"

George straightened his face. "Yes, I know what exploring means," he answered coldly. "But in Australia?"

"It's unfamiliar to me, so that is why I'm exploring Australia," she continued and smiled.

"For real Nora, what are you doing here? You're...you can't just show up and missing your appointments," he said, still not understand what she was doing here. "Are you even allowed to fly?"

Nora straightened her face as well. "I just spilt a fortune on tickets, and travelled over 24 hours to get here, and this is the welcome I get? I technically can't fly myself, I pay a shit ton of money to people who can fly, but yeah, I can fly. Otherwise, I wouldn't be here." Her eyes fell on the assistant of Christian who was walking towards Nora.

"Your passes," the assistant smiled and handed the passes. "Enjoy."

A fake smile grew on Nora's lips, she wanted to give the assistant a genuine smile, but she couldn't show it. "Thank you so much. I will stop by soon. Remind me to thank you later," she said.

"It's fine, Nora. Welcome back." The assistant looked at George and his personal trainer and gave them a nod. "Gentlemen." The assistant left the group of people.

George looked back at Nora again. "Why is Red Bull doing this for you?" The tone in his voice was slightly annoyed but mostly still confused. "Nora, go home. You can't be here, you have to stay home-"

"At least someone is happy to see me," Nora coldly shot back. It was a mistake for showing up. Aubrey was lying, of course, she was lying. George clearly wasn't happy to see Nora, he hasn't smiled, not one time. "Excuse me, I have people to catch up with." Her eyes found George's, and she widely smiled. "Good luck, George," she said and padded his shoulder before walking away.

As soon she left George, the smile disappeared. Nora gasped for air, this wasn't how she wanted it to be. She got George was focussing on the weekend and his first race, that was his priority. But at least he could have accepted that Nora flew all the way to Australia - while she was told to stay home at all time, to support him. I guess it is just too much to ask for. She deeply inhaled and looked down. Her eyes fell on the passes; she could throw them away and indeed go home. Nora shook her head lightly; there was just too much going on to leave only for him.

George parted his lips and kept his eyes on Nora. She looked wonderful. This was the first time George saw her dressed up again. The soft pink envelope dress was covering her body, it just looked beautiful on her. George came back to reality.

"Nora!"

He didn't even realise he was shouting her name until she turned around. The blonde locks around her face were bouncing. George swallowed hard. She walked towards him and pointed at him.

"You have no idea how angry I am at you," she whisper-yelled. "I am not gonna make a scene here, but I am so bloody angry, George," she hissed. Nora took off her sunglasses. George tightened his jaw when he looked in her brown eyes; she was angry. "I ignored everyone and broke way too many rules, I paid way too much for an aeroplane ticket, and it took me over 24 hours to get here, for you."

She was silent for a moment, watching George's reaction. He was looking innocently at her. She laughed sarcastically, he still didn't get it.

"Listen here, you little shit, I have feelings for you and it's about time..." she sighed, not knowing what to say anymore. "I'm here to tell you that I am in love you with you. And you don't even see it because all you care is about my health. Which is fine, but not now-"

George didn't hesitate and closed the space between him and Nora. He cubbed her face in his hands and pressed his lips on Nora's lips. Nora froze. George's heart was racing in his chest, what if she rejected him? Luckily, she did not reject him. Nora answered the kiss with a small smile against George his lips. It made him smile, as well. Perhaps the time had stopped, everything around them became a blur. It was an innocent kiss, but it meant a lot.

After a few seconds, Nora broke the kiss by pulling back. It was warm, her body was warm. Tingling spread all over her body; she felt happy, but she couldn't be happy. She was angry at him. She blinked a few times and looked back at George while biting her lip. The look on his face was surprised as well, but his eyes were filled with joy.

"I..." George whispered and giggled before looking away. The heat rose to his cheeks. "I'm in love with you too." A smile grew on Nora's face when he said those words. "So in love with you," he continued. "And I'm so sorry for the things I have said, Nora. I...I am so sorry."

"I'm sorry too, really sorry. I have said unfair things," she replied.

"Can we talk?" He was looking around. "Like real talk? Private?"

She nodded. "Sure." Nora stepped away from him. "Do you have time to talk? You're in the middle of your first day on track, and I'm sure your team wants to talk to you," she stammered and had a glance at George's trainer Aleix, before looking back at George. This also made her realise he witnessed the moment as well. Heat rose to her cheeks

"I have thirty minutes."

"And you want to spend that with me? Talking?"

"Yes, I want to spend that with you," he said and smiled softly.

George informed Aleix he and Nora wanted some private time, so they went to his driver's room - together. Nora had no idea how to act; she was confused at the situation that just happened. George kissed me, in the middle of the paddock at the track of Melbourne. We were surrounded by everyone, and he kissed me. She pressed her lips on each other and hid her smile.

"First, I want to say how big of an idiot you are," George said and closed the door behind him. Nora proudly smiled. "You were not supposed to do this, everyone will kill you. Does your family know you are here?"

"No." Nora sat down on a chair and threw her bag on the ground. "Well, Aubrey does." She looked at him. "She booked the flights."

"You are nuts."

"Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do," she simply said. A yawn left her mouth. "I'm sorry."

George slowly nodded. "And you're feeling good?" She nodded. "Next time, let me know about this." He was worried things would end up wrong, especially since she was still recovering.

"It was not like you would have answered me," Nora muttered. She already knew it was going in the wrong direction. "And surprise wouldn't fit in the context anymore," she tried to happily say.

He walked around in the small room, not knowing what to do. He wanted to get mad, he wanted to stay calm, he wanted to kiss her, he wanted to yell at her. "It was you who started it," he blurted.

"Because you were annoying," she coldly said and straightened her face. George stopped walking and turned to her, offended by the words. "I was high on my meds, and I know that is a shitty reason, but those made me more cranky than I was. And I should-"

"You could have told me to go instead of making a scene."

Nora sighed, this wasn't why she came here. "And you could have stayed quiet or go home." She frustratingly ran her hand through her hair.

It was silence again. The anger was noticeable between them. There were questions they wanted an answer on, but they were too afraid to ask them. Nora looked away, biting on her lip; she had expected some scene or collision between them, but she never expected it to be this. Not an awkward, angry, shy scene.

"Ben..." George pressed his name over his lips. "Are you together, or are you doing things together?"

Nora slowly squeezed her eyebrows together. "Excuse me?" I just confused my feelings towards you, what in the bloody hell is this supposed to mean? "No, of course not. Why would you think that?"

"I have seen the looks between you and him, he spends so much time at your place, you seem to be so happy when he is around you," George was pressing the words over his lips with pain. "And about who else are all your notes about?"

"Have you read my notebook?! That is private, George!" Her voice raised. "I have given you my trust to write down the first few notes, but that rest is private, very secret!"

"One, Nora, one note! But I know you good enough to know there are more of these!" He held in his breath. "I had accidentally read one when I wrote a note to you, the day of your discharge," he calmly said, trying to keep his emotions under control.

She nodded. "Ben is one of my doctors!" she yelled. "And also one of my best friends. At the hospital, he was there every night, he knows how I feel. My dad pays the hospital because he has too much money and to have Ben over for better care. I am sorry for having a male doctor and a friend. I have told you that a thousand times, and yet you don't believe me!" Hurt, she felt hurt. "I am living in a mens world, George. I have men around me all the time, and you shouldn't be jealous of that because you are one of those men as well."

George swallowed hard, he screwed it all up because he was jealous because he was scared Nora would fall in love with someone else than him.

"That note what you have read is just one of the million notes I wrote about you. Gosh, that sounds really pathetic, but I am just so in love in you that I couldn't stop thinking about you, so I had to write them down. And seeing you that close with Aubrey..." She shook her head. "I thought you disliked me because of her."

"We are so stupid," he said. "So stupid," he added. His body warmed up, that note was about him, not Ben. He rubbed with his hands over his face. "Aubrey is the little sister of the girl I like...I love. She needed support, that's all."

Their eyes met. Because both of them made assumptions, things went wrong. The life lesson today was: do not make up things, unless you are 101% sure, and do not ruin your friendship because of this wrong assumption.

"I just want to laugh, but I can't. We are morons, blind morons." Nora snorted. "And here we are, in Melbourne..." It made George smirk as well. "All those ugly things I have said to you, are not true. I don't hate you and it is absolutely not your fault."

He nodded. "I know, I take back all my words as well. I absolutely did not want to you to die, absolutely not." He gave her a warm smile.

A small smile curved on her lips. "I'm sorry for this waste of your time."

"I am not," he said and stepped towards her. He placed both his hands on the rests of the stool and leaned in. "Because I love you," he whispered and came closer. Nora looked him deeply in his eyes after having a look at his lips. "And nothing is gonna stop me now from making you mine, Nora Clarke," he ended and placed his lips tenderly on her lips.
