Aura's pov

After we left the battle area we walked as far as we could before we decided to camp out for the day. Our tents were set up and Klarissa and a few others were sleeping. Terra sat next to me. She had her eyes closed as she leaned against a tree. She had a smile on her face.

"We did it," Owen says, walking over to us. I look up at him. I narrowed my eyes on him.

"We did. You panicked out there Owen. You forgot what you knew" I laugh. Owen glared at me.

"I wasn't expecting them to go straight at you. And when I lost eyes on you I freaked out. I didn't know what Maddox was going to do to me when I told him I lost his mate the first three minutes into the battle" Owen says. I smile at him. He let out a sigh. "Once I knew you were ok and I wasn't going to die by my brother's hands I remembered I knew a lot to get Blaze out of that circle."

Klarissa walked out of the tent. She looked around at us before her eyes stopped on me. I raise an eyebrow at her.

"Maddox's mate. You know that mark on your neck makes a lot more sense now" Klarissa says. Owen and I laugh. "How long before we get back?"

"It's a three day trip but since we are taking the rest of the day to rest it will take longer to get to Maddox's pack" I say. Owen snorted. I look at him with a raised eyebrow.

"It's your pack too" Owen says.

"Your input is not needed here" I say glare at him. Owen gave me a smile. The little girl emerged out of the tent.

"Mom, I'm hungry," She says. Owen looked at her with wide eyes before looking at his mom.

"Mom?" he asked. Klarissa looked at her daughter before looking at Owen.

"This is your sister, Elaine," Klarissa says. Owen's mouth dropped open as he gazed at his sister. I close his mouth. He swatted my hand away.

"I have a sister!" he shouted. I stand up and walk over to Blaze.

"We got a variety of food. We have deer, fish and rabbits. It's been cooked already and it's being brought over" Blaze says. I walked back over to the group I was with.

"We have rabbit, fish and deer being brought over" I say.

Once everyone was up and ate we took shifts when sleeping. Over the next few days we traveled back to the pack. When we saw the guards they shouted at us excitedly. Once we crossed the border I turned to Klarissa.

"Welcome back" I say. Klarissa smiled at me before wrapping her arms around me.

"Thank you" she had tears in her eyes. I laughed lightly. I pulled away from her and we continued to walk to the pack house. "Wow, it's still as beautiful as ever," Klarissa says, looking around.

The place was beautiful and the leaves changing color added to the beauty. The closer we got to the pack house the more excited Klarissa was. My eyes lock onto Maddox. He was walking with Ben. They were talking as they walked. Maddox's eyebrows furrowed before he looked over at me. A smile appeared on his face. He shoved Ben out of the way as he ran over to me. Maddox wrapped his arms around me. His face was buried in my neck. He held me tight.

"You guys had me worried. You didn't tell what happened or if the battle ended. A heads up would have been nice" Maddox says.

"I'm sorry we were resting and trying to get back. I forgot to let you know how it went" I say pulling away. Maddox pulled me back into him. I laugh lightly before placing a quick kiss on Maddox's lips before breaking free from his embrace. I ran behind Klarissa. I push her towards Maddox. "Like I said, I brought your mom back."

Maddox looked at me before looking at Klarissa. His eyes scan over her face. Maddox wrapped his arms around his mom. "Dad is going to be so happy your back" Maddox mutters while pulling away.

Peter walks out of the house. He froze as he looked at Klarissa. I even think he stopped breathing before he ran towards her. He lifted her in the air. He held onto her tightly, afraid if he let her go she would vanish again.

"How was your week?" I asked Maddox. He looked at me with a frown.

"Fucking boring. I had meetings all week. Ben didn't stop giving me something to do since you were gone" He says. I smile at him before turning to Ben.

"Thanks for that" I tell Ben. He nodded his head before smirking at Maddox. Maddox looked at me with a smile.

"I guess that's what I get for having Blaze and Owen watch over you" Maddox says. I nod my head at him. "Alright everyone not from this pack tell my Beta Benjamin where you are from and he'll arrange a ride home for you!" Maddox projected his voice over the large group. Ben looked at Maddox with a scowl. "Pay back" Maddox says before pulling me over to his family. Klarissa was introducing Elaine to Peter. He looked shocked but happy. He had a smile on his face the whole time his mate talked.

"A sister?" Maddox asked me. I nod my head at him slowly. "Well, Elaine, if you can make a pumpkin pie then you're accepted into this family" Maddox jokes. Peter, Klarissa, Owen start laughing. Elaine furrowed her eyebrows.

"What's a pumpkin pie?" she asked. Her family stopped laughing. Maddox looked at me.

"We gotta take her to Granny K," Maddox says. Owen and I nod our heads. "Well, we'll catch you two later. We're going to see Granny K"

Klarissa and Peter nod their heads as they watch us walk away. Maddox opened the passenger door for me. I climb in and he shuts it before walking around the car and getting in the driver's side. We buckle up before he drives away from the house.

We spend the remainder of the evening at the bakery making pies. Elaine had a good time. She was smiling and laughing the whole time. After being in a cave and isolated with the missing elementals for her whole life it must feel great to do something you've never done before.
