"I would never hurt her, I promise." I said. What I had just herd broke my heart. I couldn't believe someone as amazing as Alexis is could go through so a horrible upbringing. I would never intentionally hurt her. I really like her and I think I love her. She had changed me for the better and I could never ask for anyone else but her.

Me, James and Jodie wiped away our tears and headed back to the kitchen. I sat down next the Alexis who seemed totally oblivious to her surroundings.

"Hey babe?" I said to Alexis.

"Yeah?"

"May I talk to you upstairs for a moment if that's okay?"

"Yeah sure."

I place my hand into her and led her to our bedroom. I sat her down on the bed and I sat down beside her not letting for of her delicate hand. I grabbed her other hand and looked into her eyes.

"You know I would never hurt you? You do know that?" I asked.

"Yeah of course." She said with a worried tone.

"Jodie and James had told me about your childhood and your parents and the hole adoption agency thing. I never knew you had to go through that!" I said trying to choke back tears. "I just wanted you to know that I am here when ever you feel down or alone. I will always be here because Alexis I love you."

"I love you too Ben. And thank you for being so supportive." She said as a tear rolled down her cheek. I wiped away her tear and kissed her on the cheek. I loved her with all my heart. I just don't know what I would do without her.

Once me and Alexis were finished with our little conversation we headed back downstairs with the others. "Hey what are we doing today?" Alexis asked seeming quite happy.

"Well we were thinking about taking you shopping for some new clothes since you've only got stuff from the adoption agency." Danny said with a grin in his face.

"Oh my god really?"

"Yeah of course we want to spoil my niece."  "Are we all going together?" I asked.

"Yeah" Sam answered.

"Seriously guys you don't have to do this. I'm okay with the clothes I've got."

"My princess deserves to be spoilt rotten!" James said while approaching Alexis and giving her a hug.

"Why do I feel like there is bad news coming?" Alexis sighed.

"There is no bad news we just want to treat you sweetie." Jodie reassured Alexis. Alexis nodded and thanked all of us. We all ran up stairs into our rooms to get ready for a day of shopping.
