Kailani

Today mommy said we can go see daddy but I don't know what wrong with him but I know he is sick. I want to hug him again but I can feel like today is going to be hard for him. It's like I can feel what my parents feel before they feel it. I know my mommy is sad right now cause I can feel her being sad like come on.

I crawled to mommy's room and peaked in the door and she was on the door bed crying on the phone. I can hear really good "Tammy I don't know if he's going to get better and Kai keeps asking about seeing him and just can't keep thinking he's going to be ok" when she said that I felt sad and walked back to my room.

I closed my eyes to try and sense what was going to happen. I felt like I was feeling in a coma-like state then suddenly I woke up and saw mommy standing over "You ok Kai" she asked me "Yes" I answered hoping she did see me "Ok come pick what you want to wear" she said as she picked me up and put me on the floor.

Kailani and I walked in the hospital and asked if we could see Eric and she told us what room he was in and when we walked down there he was in the room with Eric jr "Mommy can I say hi to Eric" she asked so I came in and when I did Eric smiled at me and Eric waved "Hey y'all did interrupt" I asked "Naw we was just talkin" Eric asked and of course Kailani was trying her best to get out of my arm so I put her down "Dang there" I said letting her go and Eric laughed "Man she run just like Dre kids. I think she got that from me" I said joking as I walked over hugging him.

"Hey Nat how you doin" he asked "Ight but ya daughter has been begging to come so now we here" I said telling the half truth "You sure you ain't also wanna see me" he said and then I started smiling "I just miss you at home that's all" I said and he agreed that it's not fun without me here.

Kailani was lifted by Eric and hugged Eric "Hey daddy" she said hugging him "Hey baby girl" he replied but she couldn't wait five seconds she asked if she could play with Eric Jr and we both laughed as they played on the other side of the room but they just talked.

Eric's braids looked so old I just needed to re-braid it "Eric ya shit looks messed up" I said touching his in the rows of his hair "Yea" he said with a laugh "Come sit up" I told him "Nah, I'm good" he said "No come on it's not sweat I mean I have re-braided it many times" I said but he refused to sit up again "Eric try and sit up" I asked but he couldn't get up.

He was trying real hard but he just couldn't "Ok ok stop before you hurt your self more" he said relaxing his muscles again "Kids got outside and stand by the bodyguard and don't go nowhere except for in front of him" I said in a firm tone.

Before they could walk out Eric passed out and the machine started beeping so I ran out the room really quick "DOCTOR, WE NEED A DOCTOR NOW SOMEONE HELP PLEASE" I yelled and then medical people started running in as fast as they could.

They made me leave but I had Eric jr with me and I don't know how to get ahold of his mom. I just sat in the waiting room "Miss Natalie can we go back to your house I'm sleepy" Eric asked "Me too" Kailani added.

I walked up to the front desk and gave them my pager number so if his mother was looking for him she could call me.

At home

When we got home the kids didn't bother sleeping in the couch so I'm just doing dishes while they're sleeping but I still have an eye on them.

A few minutes later I heard my pager go off so I called the number.

"Hello this is the Wright/Young residents, this is Natalie speaking" I said

"WHO THE FUCK YOU THINK YOU IS STEALIN MY CHILD" I heard I'm guessing Eric jr mom on the other line

"Look ma'am he said he was tired and so was my child so I told the front desk to tell you to page me" I said in reply

"MEET ME AT KELLY PARK WITH MY CHILD" she said hanging up.

O lord here we go.

I woke up Kailani and Eric jr and we all got in the car and drove all the way to Compton but I should have just made her come to my house.

I pulled up to the park and she stormed over to me and they kids "WHY THE FUCK DID YOU THINK IT WAS OK TO TAKE MY CHILD" she yelled in my ear "Ma'am, Eric fell into a coma and I didn't know who to give Eric to ok" I said calmly "Wait he's in a coma" she asked concerned "Yes and I couldn't leave him at the hospital ok" I said passing Eric over to his mom "Miss Natalie" he said "Yes" I replied "Is dad going to wake up" he asked "Look you two, your dad has been though a lot and has been in a lot. When I tell you he will be up and running in no time. I promise y'all ok" I said squatting down to their level hugging them then Eric's mom pulled him away really fast.

I want to believe what I said was true but I don't know if it will.
