Natsu's POV
I felt weird sitting there. Like my heart was pounding out of my chest.
I was in Lucy's room. After she decided to stalk me while I was playing the piano, I took her back upstairs. She fell asleep almost instantly. And I just stayed there, worried that the thunderstorms may come back and scare her.
The way her pale skin shone in the breaking of dawn drew me to her. Her blonde hair was drawn up in ponytails, like normal. And she smiled, at peace in her dream.
I thought about this weird feeling in my chest. Must be heartburn. But I would live through it until I knew that Lucy, my best friend, was safe.

Lucy's POV
I sat alone, a red dress flowing down to my feet. The chair was satan, soft beneath me.
A figure entered. He was wearing a black suit with a red collared shirt beneath it. His hair was in a mess, like usual.
"Hello, Lucy," he breathed.
"Hello, Natsu. Can you play me something? Please?"
"Of course. I would do anything better than you."
"What?"
"Better than you, b-better than you."

I snapped out of my dream. The dawn was cracking through the winter sky. Natsu was passed out, his head resting on the edge of my bed.
My alarm song, "Better Than You" was blaring. I shut it off quickly, fearing it would wake up the boy beside me.
I was disappointed. Even if it was a dream, I wanted to hear Natsu play. Just for me.
Was this...love?
It couldn't be. I couldn't fall in love wot an idiot like Natsu.
Or could I?
