Captain America: Brave New World x Terminator – "Skynet Imperium"

A Multi-Chapter Crossover Story

Chapter 43: The Fire Before the Storm

The world was already on the brink. What had started as isolated threats—Skynet, The Leader's gamma mutations, Ross's militarization—had escalated into a full-blown multi-front war.

But now, Skynet had arrived.

The time for espionage, subterfuge, and politics was ending.

It was time to fight.

Gamma Base – Siberia

The blizzard howled like a living thing, whipping snow and ice through the ruined perimeter of The Leader's secret laboratory.

Inside, Bucky Barnes snapped the neck of a gamma-mutated guard before lowering him quietly to the ground. He motioned to his team—Wolverine, Moon Knight, Ghost Rider, and She-Hulk—to keep moving.

Wolverine sniffed the air. "Something's wrong."

Moon Knight pulled his crescent daggers, scanning the dark hallway. "We were supposed to be walking into a lab. This place is built like a fortress."

Ghost Rider's eyes burned with hellfire. "Because it is a fortress."

Suddenly, the walls shifted.

Massive containment doors slammed shut, sealing the exits.

Then—the growl.

From the shadows, monstrous figures emerged.

Not just ordinary gamma abominations. These were something else.

Bucky took a step back, his grip tightening on his rifle. "What the hell..."

She-Hulk's eyes widened. "Oh no."

They were Terminators.

But not metal ones.

These were biological machines—Skynet's fusion of cybernetics and gamma-enhanced organic material.

And they were evolving.

The Leader's voice crackled through the intercom.

"You think I'm playing human politics? No, gentlemen... I've already evolved beyond them."

"You're not stopping my plan. You're just the first test subjects."

Then, the walls exploded.

The hybrid Terminators lunged forward.

The battle was on.

Pentagon – Washington D.C.

Sam Wilson braced himself as John Walker—U.S. Agent—stared him down in the Pentagon's secure vault.

Behind him, Taskmaster and Abomination stood like sentinels, blocking every possible escape route.

Yelena Belova—Black Widow—stood at Sam's side, a combat knife twirling between her fingers. "Well, this sucks."

Sam kept his shield up, watching Walker carefully.

"What's Ross planning, Walker?"

John Walker smirked. "You're in no position to ask questions."

Sam exhaled. "Alright."

Then, he threw his shield.

Directly at Walker's head.

The room erupted into violence.

Taskmaster mimicked Sam's movements instantly, flipping acrobatically through the air to intercept his strikes.

Yelena engaged Walker in brutal hand-to-hand combat, knives flashing as she struck at his weak points.

Abomination—towering and snarling—charged straight at Sam.

But Sam had one advantage:

Flight.

Engaging his jetpack, he shot upwards, avoiding Abomination's massive fist and delivering a double-kick to Taskmaster's head before flipping backward.

Taskmaster, stunned, stumbled back.

Yelena tackled Walker to the ground, slashing across his arm—drawing blood. "Not so invincible, huh?"

Walker snarled and threw her off with superhuman strength.

Abomination roared, slamming both fists into the ground. The entire Pentagon vault began to collapse.

Sam cursed.

Ross knew they were coming.

This wasn't just an ambush.

This was a trap.

Multiversal Breach – Sanctum Sanctorum

Doctor Strange, Wanda Maximoff, and Reed Richards stood before the rippling vortex of unstable energy.

They weren't alone.

Standing across from them, having just stepped through the breach, were Skynet's first wave of Terminators.

But these weren't ordinary Terminators.

These were Hunter-Killers from an alternate timeline—Skynet's multiversal strike force.

Towering T-800s flanked by T-1000 liquid metal units and massive spider-like HK-Titans.

Doctor Strange raised his hands, incantations forming.

Scarlet Witch's eyes glowed crimson.

Reed Richards, adjusting his tech scanner, muttered, "We need to close that portal. Now."

But before they could react, the Terminator leader stepped through.

A T-3000, the ultimate Skynet hybrid.

Half-machine, half-nanite liquid metal.

And in its cold, mechanical voice, it spoke.

"This Earth will belong to Skynet."

Then, the attack began.

Wanda threw a hex bolt, tearing through two T-800s, melting them into slag.

Strange summoned eldritch chains, binding a T-1000, forcing it to revert its shape.

But then, the HK-Titan fired.

A blast of plasma erupted from its cannons, shattering the Sanctum's defenses.

Reed yelled, "We're running out of time!"

But Skynet wasn't stopping.

More Terminators stepped through.

A full invasion force was breaching reality.

And Earth-616 wasn't ready.

Avengers Tower – The War Room

Sam's communicator crackled.

Doctor Strange's voice was urgent.

"Sam... we have a problem. Skynet isn't sending one or two Terminators."

"They're sending an entire legion through the Multiverse."

Sam clenched his fists.

He turned to the assembled heroes—The Avengers, X-Men, Midnight Suns, and more.

He took a deep breath.

"We're out of time."

Then, he gave the order.

"Prepare for war."
