After that night they were in constant touch with each other. She keeps asking him about the smallest of things. Whatever she wears she takes advices from him. They plan their another meeting for her date for him to watch a movie together. He went to pick her from her home. He entered her place and greet her parents. She came down immediately. She was wearing a short yellow dress. He stare at her for couple seconds he wanted to compliment her but didn't.

Then He waved at her mom and dad and let them know that he will drop her home on time. She really like how he treats her parents,  how he was soo responsible and respectful person. He treats her like a child but never stops her from saying things in her mind. Her parents also adores him like her own brother. He turned towards her

Karan: chalein??

Teju: chalo

While sitting in the car

Karan: I got coffee for you exactly how you like

Teju: really, but how did you know how I like my coffee?

Karan: I was there when you ordered last time. Wasn't I ?

Teju: somebody is noticing everything

Karan: of course it's my specialty

She picked her coffee and took a sip

Teju: ummmm it's so good. Thank you kundrri. But I don't even remember what you ordered for yourself.

Karan: hahaha chalega.

Teju: you have such a good memory and you are extremely good with your words.

Karan: ms waygankar is complementing me ???

Teju: its wayangankar.

Karan: same thing waygankar ye hi to bola

Teju: never mind , it's tejasswi prakash for you. Where are we going? what are we watching?

Karan: horror movie dekhe ?

Teju: no I am scared , no horror movies for me

Karan: hahaha really. You are too cute yaar.

Teju: I am not joking , I can't watch horror movie. Let's watch top gun maverick?

Karan: really I thought you would prefer love story or drama?

Teju: yea am not typical girl and I am an actor as well I love to watch different genre of good cinema. One of my friend she had great taste in movie she suggested me this one.

Karan : sure , let's watch it. Please check where the seats available?

They reach the theater , it was semi occupied. She bought popcorn, nachos. They watched the movie. She was completely in the movie , from time to time he kept on looking at her.

"She is sooo beautiful" he thought to himself

She turned her head towards him like she heard what he said. It wasn't possible unless she can read his mind as he didn't utter a word. She shrugged her shoulders asking "what" he shook his head.

After the movie they went for dinner.he was getting anxious as the date is ending soon. He wanted it to be long night he wish he could stop her from leaving. They left the restaurant and it's like god is on his side. She asked him if they can go to the beach again. Suddenly they were surrounded by Papz asking about their relationship, clicking their pictures. He protect her from the crowd and help her sit. She was wearing a dress so he stood between the cameras and her. After make her sit he quickly sat in the driving seat and left

Karan: soo do want to go to the beach?

She nodded
Karan: are you sure ? Your parents must be waiting for you

Teju: though they are pretty chill but I am going to inform them and best part they really trust you so there won't be any problem

Karan: ok

They reached the beach , he remembered it was the same beach they came before. They sat on the same bench they were sitting.

Teju: we were strangers then now I know you.

Karan: you still need to know lot about me.

She got up to move towards water stop in the middle and turned to him

Teju: come

Karan: huh??

Teju: let's sit near the water.

She moved ahead and he followed her. She sat near the water and tapped on the floor near her before sitting he removed his sweatshirt and kept it on her lap as she was wearing a short dress. he did what he was told he sat near her.

Teju: first in front of media now this jacket. I feel so safe around you seriously

Karan: glad to hear that but every guy should treat any girl with respect

Teju: I want to know more about you if you are comfortable telling me.

Karan: hmmm. Are you comfortable getting clicked with me? As you know what will be headlines tomorrow

Teju: why not , some of the people drag you to sell their news. My name was dragged with my costar unnecessarily. Simba is the most genuine guy but some people would like to link with him. These people didn't leave me with my rakhi brother who lives in states.

Karan: but I did make mistakes in the past

Teju: ok tell me what happened

He took a deep breath

Karan: where to start? Ok my last relationship was ended at really bitter note. In the beginning it looks perfect I was so into it that I couldn't see what's going on. She treats my family bad and projected it was always their fault. I didn't know what gotten into me I believed her not my family. She was a manipulator,I realized it much later when my family got away from me. I actually could see her true colors. I tried everything to save the relationship but it's getting nasty day by day. One day when I was so done with her I told her to leave my house. She told she won't spare me , next day she posted that I am a cheater and all. My so called friends stop taking my calls. My life turned upside down. I lost few projects. My parents were there for me the next moment when I reached out to them. I was feeling much better being with my family. I don't feel claustrophobic anymore. I started working day and night to forget about everything. I felt very lonely at that time

Teju moved towards him and wipe his tears then he realized that he was crying.

Teju: what do you think the mistake you made in all this?

Karan: I believed her not my parents and second mistake was telling her to leave.

Teju: first one was a mistake as your parents was and will be always do or did for your best interest but second thing you did was the right thing to do. Just imagine that if you didn't tell her to leave, she would have still be part of your life and your family wouldn't. Your life will still the same like it was 2 years ago.

Karan: no no no I can't imagine this. These two years was eye opener to me, I can't go back. I just can't. Thanks tejasswi I feel much better now. Can I ask you for hug if you don't mind?

Teju: why not kundrri

She came forward and hugged him.

She felt she was holding something and that melt down in his arms. She got that peace she didn't get after her breakup. The hug was longer than usual. They both feel content.

" no I can't do this , I can't feel anything. I should have no emotions for anyone" she thought and jerked away from him

Karan: I am sorry if you feel uncomfortable , I didn't want too...

She cuts him in between

Teju: no I didn't feel anything, shall we go from here. My parents must be waiting for me.

Karan: ya sure

He got up and extend his hand to help her but she didn't take it and got up herself. When They reach to his car he went towards the passenger seat to open the door for her but she said  she will do it herself. Karan felt weird, why all of a sudden she was giving him cold shoulder. On the way back to her house she didn't utter a word , she kept looking out from the window. He tried to break the ice

Karan: music?

Teju: anything you want

Karan: are you ok?

Teju: I am okay just little bit tired and sleepy

He knew she was lying but he didn't know about what. They reached her place she got down and before he could say something she ran towards her house without saying bye, she didn't look back that usually she does. Just a little thanks in the air without looking in his eyes.

Karan: bye , good night!!

She didn't respond and climbed the stairs as soon as she entered. She closed the door and sat on the bed looking at herself in the mirror in front of her.

"I can't think like this about him. It's just a hug , may be it's the warmest hug that's why I felt it like that. I don't think I like him any other way, he is just a friend nothing more" she thought and reasoning herself

On the other hand Karan thought that what did he do that offended her. She didn't like something but what. I asked for the hug , if she didn't like it she could just denied. All these thoughts clouded with no explanation. Her sudden cold behavior hits him hard. He reasoned himself maybe she was actually tired and sleepy. He wanted to call her but didn't. They both couldn't sleep the whole night. It's the routine she called him at 8:30 in the morning while going to the set. Today it's already 8:40 she didn't call. He dialed her number, her number was busy.

He received her message that she will call him in 10min. He released deep breath he didn't know he was holding.

Within 10min he got her call he picked up in just a ring

Teju: good morning kundrri

Karan: hi tejasswi, why did you call late ?

Teju: I woke up late so I was calling the sets if I can come little late.

Karan: ohh ok no problem. I hope I didn't offend you in any way last night.

Teju: not at all. why do you think you had offend me?I told you na I was tired. Don't overthink it

Karan: ohh thank god I was so worried that I lost a friend

Teju: no you did not. Chalo I am getting a call from the set. I will call you later.

She thought she will talk to him normally. So she called him , he was taking her quietness to another level so she lied to him again about being tired.
