Karan: is this considered as date ?

Teju: friendly date. Yes

His face fell at the statement

"What the hell is this friendly date" he thought but didn't say anything, he changed the topic as he doesn't want to stretch the topic

Karan: what would you like to have?

Teju: kulcha chola

Karan: ok, let me order kulcha chola and tikki chaat it's famous here.

Teju: ummmm yes please

He ordered the food

Teju: have you been here before?

Karan: yes we used to come here every week. There is this shop we used to come only to eat rajma chawal and you know there is tea shop just across the road. You should try that as well.

Teju: we means?

He got confused then realized what she actually asked

Karan: friends and girlfriend.

Teju: hmm okay

Their food arrived

Karan: come let's eat.

She taste the food and she really loved it.

Teju: this is the food to die for. It's really yummy. Why aren't you having it?

He took a bite and show it to her
Karan: I am , see.

After she finished her food she patiently waited for him to finish

Karan: anything else?

He asked while taking the last bite

Teju: I need masala tea

Karan: let's go

Teju: yess

The road is busy so he held her hand to cross it. She looked at their hands but didn't say anything. When they reached the tea stall he left her hand. He ordered 2 cup of tea. While waiting for the tea he asked

Karan: what are your plans for tomorrow?

Teju: early morning shoot so have to be back by 5 in the evening if everything go according to plan. I have day after tomorrow to myself so I was thinking to visit Delhi for shopping and take flight from there . I need to buy clothes for my best friends wedding, Delhi would be the best place for shopping. Do you have plans tomorrow ?

Karan: tomorrow morning my friends would be here , we would stay at the nearby restaurant. Then in the night we would be at my friends place. Do you think you could join us?

Teju; I don't know them. It wouldn't be awkward?

Karan: they are the coolest people of both genders. they are the most comfortable people to be with , you will love them for sure. They will treat you like a kiddo.

Teju: girlfriends too?

Karan: one girl Jessica who is my best friend, one of my friends is married so his wife would be there as well.

Teju: ok I will come with you

Karan: I will collect you around 6??

Teju: I will let you know when I will be free

Karan: ok , let's go you have to get up early morning

Teju: ok thanks for the outstanding food.

Karan: I am glad you like it

They left for the hotel and went to their respective room. They both were tired so they slept.

Next Day she left for the shoot and he met his friends.  He received a message from her at 4:30

Teju: I will be late as they need shot of sunset which is added the last minute,so might be free at around 7 pm.

He texted back

Karan: let me know when to collect you. My friends place is near to the hotel so I can come within 10 min.

Teju: ok

She got free at 6:45 so she messaged him

Teju: leaving from here. I will be back to hotel at 7:15. You can collect me at 8 pm. Hope it's not a problem with you.

Karan: not at all , I will be there. What do you prefer to eat.

Teju:  roasted chicken . 💃

Karan: ok done , see you then.

He came to pick her up. He saw her coming towards his car , every time when he see her she looks better than before and he falls for her more and more. She was looking beautiful in her white Indian attire. He hated one thing about her , the hair clip that she used for tying her hair. He complemented her

Karan: you look beautiful

Teju: oh thanks.

Karan: tired ?

Teju: yeah but it's going to be relaxing evening so will be ok. Tell me about your friends

Karan: we are going to my friend Amarjeet's place , we are college buddies he is the married one he is married to his high school sweetheart her name is ginni. Jessica she is a writer, lives in Mumbai but sometimes come here to stay with her family. Nikhil he is a photographer and gogo is in business.

Teju: hmmm ok , if you find any cake shop please stop there.

Karan: ok

She got some cupcakes for them. They entered Amar's home. His friends were already there to welcome her with open arms. She felt comfortable around them immediately. After few minutes It didn't feel like she met them for the first time. He loved how she is comfortable and enjoying herself. He went to the balcony to smoke she came behind him

Teju: can I have it as well?

He nodded and hand over the entire packet to her

Teju: I just need one

He took the packet back and lit the cigarette for her.

Karan: how do you like my friends?

Teju: they are awesome

Karan: Gogo isn't here yet. He is the craziest among all of us.

Teju: hmmm

Karan: hungry??

Teju: yeah I am

Karan: ok let's have the food

After the dinner, they were sitting and singing. Karan's friend Gogo entered

Gogo: hi

Karan: hi guggi

Gogo: hi Karan, aajkal badi date shate ho rahi hai, lonavala ke chakkar hai kisi ladki ke chakkar mein hai

Karan gave him a death glare and asked him to shut up

Karan: meet my friend tejasswi

Gogo understood that he went to lonavala with her then he tried to rectify the situation

Gogo: don't worry I am just teasing you. Who is this beautiful girl here? Hi beautiful

Teju: hi

Karan introduced her and told him that she is also an actress

Gogo : Karan we met few months back then all of sudden plan.? I had to postpone my meeting

His face drained all the blood. He stammered a little. He was caught in a lie

Karan: it's just that ...

Teju: you lied to me

Before he could reply or justify his actions she got up and announced

Teju: ok guys it was lovely evening. Thank you so much everyone

She left and h ran behind her

Karan: where do you think you are going?

Teju: hotel where else?

She said in an irritated tone.

Karan: I will take you

Teju: no no you stay back , you haven't met them since long right?? I will take the cab

Karan:I can explain

Teju: no need

Karan: wait I am coming with you

He said bye to his friends and turn towards the elevator.  After getting in the car , he tried to talk to her but she plugged her AirPods to avoid the conversation. He stopped the car near a restaurant. She looked at him confused

Teju: why do you stop here?

Karan: please get down

Teju: but why ?

Karan: please just 10 minutes

Teju: can we go to the hotel , it's not safe here

Karan: ok but promise me you will give me chance to explain

Teju: ok

They reached at the hotel. He  followed her  to her room

Teju : come sit

Karan: hmm

Teju: so , what are the stories you cooking about us? Everyone knew about lonavala trip and then you lied to me that you already had plans but actually there was no plan. You made that up

Karan: I just told that I was going to lonavala with a friend they wanted to tease me not knowing it's was with you.

Teju: what about lying to me?

Karan: that night on the beach you left all of sudden. I wanted to meet you to know what have I done to offend you ?

Teju : You could have asked me directly

Karan: I did , but you were avoiding the conversation and gave that shitty excuse. I am not born yesterday Tejasswi I did something which I am not aware of bothered you.

She tried to change the topic of that night

Teju: why you wanted to come here?

Karan: I don't know why but I wanted to come here with you

Teju: why ?

Karan: because I like you dammit

She stunned with the reply

Karan: I know you don't, I don't expect anything from you. I am done hiding my feelings towards you.

She felt little uncomfortable with the confession. She couldn't register what he said. She just wanted to avoid the situation. Nothing came to her mind so she said

Teju: I need to sleep

Karan: but.... I.. I. 

Teju: please

He threw his hands in the air and left her room disappointed. After he left she panicked

" I can't do this" she whispered to herself. She was in denial mode. She didn't want this to happen.

Teju: I don't want him to feel like this , what should I do?

She cried and pack her all stuff and book a flight. She got the flight and just left early in the morning

Karan woke up early, he could only sleep for hour and half. After freshen up he found himself in front of her door. He knocked the door but there wasn't any response. When she didnt open her door he went back to his room To called the reception and found out that she checked out an hour ago. He felt shattered , hurt and angry at the same time. "She could've at least let me know,I didn't expect her to like me back but I didn't deserve this" he ranted

She didn't go to Delhi , she took the flight to Mumbai directly. He didn't even try to call her and she didn't call him either.

" it's over between us whatever we had" he shouted
