Sherlock stared at the monitor. He stared and stared. It was as if the monitor had just turned into a magical fish-unicorn and had started pole dancing on a pole made of human flesh. It was the kind of stare you got if you made a kidnapping joke to a child who had just been kidnapped. But there was a sense of amaze in Sherlocks eyes. Like he had seen something mystical that one could only hope to see in a lifetime. Sherlocks eyes were soft as he stared at the two blurry figures on the machine. He ceased to breathe or have any kind of awareness of what was going on around him.
"That's amazing!" John said, tears in his eyes. "That's just... Oh Sherlock!" He smiled at his boyfriend.
"Is he okay?" Doctor Sampson asked uneasily.
"Yeah." John smiled casually. "He just goes into a trance sort of thing every time he's overly happy. He did it when he found out about the baby. Or babies should I say..." He paused while the doctor nodded her head to show she understood. The confused look didn't leave her face though. "Sherlock?" He prompted, nudging him.
Sherlock breathed in quickly, and out slowly. "So there's... Two?" He managed to choke out.
"Yes Sherlock, two babies." John smiled.
"Well that's... Wow that's... Um." Sherlock stammered in a confused daze.
"I know!" John said excitedly. He turned to doctor Sampson. "Will we know if their boys or girls yet?"
"Not yet, Mr Watson ." The nurse said. "But you're babies are most healthy and I suggest you come up with a few more names!" Sherlock seemed to snap back into reality at this.
"Is John the first male carrier?" Sherlock enquired. Doctor Sampson shifted in her seat a little.
"No. There was one before him." She said, beginning to fiddle with some blue tack on her desk, nervously.
"Who was that?" Sherlock deduced from her nervous behaviour he wouldn't like the answer.
"Let me get one of my colleges to answer any questions you'd need." She falsely smiled and Sherlock and then John and left the room.
"Two babies..." John smiled to himself. "I hope they both look like you." He said to his Sherlock.
"Why?" Sherlock asked, distracted from his previous mission.
"Because you are gorgeous and I want my babies to be as handsome as you." John explained in a matter of fact fashion. Sherlock snorted with laughter.
"You're mad." He smiled. "Our kids will look like you and only you please."
"With your build, face, hair, eyes, and personality." John corrected. Sherlock sighed in frustration.
"Why don't you get how amazing you are!?" He said, lovingly.
"Shut up, Sherlock."

Carly Sampson walked swiftly and nervously down the hall. She had heard all about Sherlock Holmes in the papers and such. He had excellent deduction skills. Had he deduced who it was from her body language!? She and all the other doctors had sworn an oath to the British Government to not let ANYONE find out the name of the very first male carrier. To be honest, all Carly knew was that it was someone closer to Mr Holmes the younger than he would ever expect.
"Daniel!" Carly practically threw the word at her co worker, Daniel Jenkins. "He's asking about the first male carrier!" She said, panicked.
"What did you say?" Daniel asked.
"I just said I'd find a co worker to explain it!" Carly was almost in tears. "You know what Mycroft said would happen if it got out!"
"Shut up!" Doctor Jenkins hissed. "I'll come with you, but you owe me one, Sampson."

"So, my friends, what did you want to know about male carriers?" Doctor Jenkins asked after introducing himself. Sherlock looked the man up and down. One word stuck out. Untrustworthy.
"Who was the first?" Sherlock asked patiently.
"The first male carrier?" Doctor Jenkins confirmed. Sherlock nodded. "We can't give out personal information I'm afraid. The carrier has asked to remain anonymous." It was a convincing lie. But Sherlock Holmes was a very good detective.
"No he didn't." Sherlock smirked.
"It still remains that we cannot give out his name." The doctor explained.
"So he didn't ask to remain anonymous. Meaning you lied to a patient which doesn't really look brilliant does it?" Sherlock sighed. "Come on John. Another two months?"
"Y...yes." Doctor Sampson stuttered.
"Thought so." Sherlock waltzed out the door with John at his heels.

John and Sherlock arrived back at their flat. They had brought one a few weeks back, cheap, from Mrs Hudson, Sherlocks housekeeper, who was fired after Sherlock was 'removed' from the house. He wondered how long it would be until Mycroft was also kicked out. It was plain to see, him and Gregory Lestrade, I mean, even John could sense it and Sherlock was confident John was possibly the worst observer of all.
Sherlock checked his phone, three missed calls from Greg, and one from Molly. "Have you got any calls from Greg?" Sherlock called to John.
"Yeah, and a couple from Molly!" John shouted back. "You gonna ring them back?"
"You do Greg, i'll do Molly." Sherlock replied. John came to the corner of the hall and smiled toothily at his boyfriend.
"The only thing you'll be doing is me!" John giggled, wrapping his arms around Sherlocks waist.
"Very funny." Sherlock groaned, kissing him on the top of his head.
