A figure sat atop the roof of a three story house, looking up at the dusky sky. The windows dark from the lack of light on the inside, and the roof hatch wide open from where the figure climbed up.

He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and reopened them to gaze at the darkening sky; sunsets have always been Ian's favorite; he liked the mixed colors and the stars slowly showing themselves.

But, little did Ian know, he was being watched by a strange man dressed in black. He stood in the backyard of Ian's neighbor's house, his eyes taking in the aesthetic sight of his target whom he's deemed as rude, selfish, and cruel. Wilson's vivid memory of Ian's friends bullying him motivated him to take vengeance, and he started with Ian.

The blond smiled as a shooting star blinked into existence before it faded out over the sky. It reminded him of his dog, Comet, a Golden Retriever. Comet used to follow Ian everywhere while he was a child, that was until the cheerful Retriever passed away early one morning just as Ian was getting ready for school. It broke Ian's heart to lose his best friend.

"I love you, Comet," Ian mumbled, his voice cracking as he strived to hold back a few tears. "You were always there for me when dad was around."

Wilson's brows creased in confusion, hearing what Ian had said. What does that mean?

Ian pulled his knees to his chest, letting his head drop to his knees as tears slipped down his cheeks, although, he was quiet about it. "Aunt Joyce, I miss you so much. Why'd you have to leave me with dad," he said through a rough voice.

The blond lifted his head back up, his eyes shifting to the stars. "I can't wait to see you again, mom." Ian smiled sadly.

He then stood and craned his neck to look down. It didn't look that high if he was being honest with himself, so he carefully stepped to the edge before looking up to watch as the sun finally set over the horizon, leaving only the light of the moon to shine upon the surface of the Earth.

Ian closed his eyes, feeling a gentle breeze caress his exposed skin and make his blond hair try to flow with it.

He tipped over the edge, a flash of hope flooding his chest just before something, or someone, grabbed ahold of his shirt.

Ian's eyes snapped open as the stranger jerked him backwards, making them both fall on the roof with a thump. The blond's hopeful feeling turned to despair until he saw Wilson, the guy his friends pressured him to bully.

Fear surged through him, urging him to flee, but he didn't, he could only stare as Wilson's eyes met his.

"Why would you do this?" Wilson gestured to the edge of the roof, also making sure to keep his voice soft.

Ian blinked, looked to the edge, and back at Wilson with a sorrowful look in his expression. "Because I have nothing to live for anymore."
