CHAPTER 5: IT'S EXPLODING. AN INCIDENT IS EXPLODING(5)

"The same ol' title" Bud groaned

"The god of death become bored with the titles?" Cage cussed out

'Once again its not me child'

'how pathetic you getting pushed over by humans tsk, your behavior is so ungodly tsk'

God of death just groaned

'who the heck is that, there might be more gods here than I expected' Cage pondered

Cale laid the unconscious child on the bed and the priest started to look after her.

"...Uhh... How could it be white magic-"

The most flustered person here was the mage.

"You, what is your affiliation?"

"Ah! I am a support mage of the Third Mage Brigade, Commander-nim!"

"Of course a mage would have had a curiosity of this white magic" Glenn look into the screen with a straight face while rosalyn replied

"White magic is the magic we use but this feel kinda different"

"What does white magic exactly mean?"

The mage, who looked quite tense while revealing his affiliation, had a confused look on his face.

"...Generally speaking, any magic that is not black magic is considered white magic. However... It is usually not called white magic but just magic."

"See" Rosalyn said while she snapped her fingers

"Mmm" eruhaben just groaned

This world considered black magic to be taboo and was very wary of it.

This wariness could have gone up because of the black mages who worked as the White Star's subordinates.

"And we dont want to use black magic either" Tasha said sternly

It was different from people's perspective on Dark Elves and necromancers, which had gotten better.

"Thanks to young master cale" Mary innocently said while Tasha chuckled, if it isnt mary then Cale would have refused or throw a fit but it is mary so he just nodded

"Mm, the white magic that the youngest lady Orsena mentioned seems to be different from the regular magic we know and use."

"It must be one of the hunter's magic?" Dodori perked up

"Maybe...." Mila replied

The mage shared his thoughts in a sincere tone.

"Your hypothesis makes sense; however, we cannot accept it until we are certain."

The mage nodded his head as the knight in charge responded to him.

"Of course. The report will only contain the facts of the matter."

Alberu nodded 'We cant just report the opinion on the magic that we observed we need stern evidence'

Cale calmly nodded his head. However, his mind was moving quickly.

'It is more likely than not that the mage is right.'

The Duke's House of Orsena.

Only a few people, including Cale, knew that this family was related to the Hunters.

"Only the king, flynn merchant guild if you dont count us" Rasheel grumbled

"True" Dodori replied

He also knew one of the unique traits of hunters.

'Those bastards can travel through dimensions and use a lot of peculiar abilities.'

That was why this white magic might be a form of magic that Cale didn't know about.

"This is getting interesting" Eruhaben stared at the screen

"Something not from our world of course it will be interesting" Sheritt replied mischievously

"It should contain mana right?" Rosalyn asked out of curiosity

"Of course, no magic will ever be made without mana" Eruhaben stated

It could be something that didn't exist in this world.

"Continue to observe youngest lady Orsena's condition."

"Yes, Commander-nim."

Cale commented to the knight as he walked out of the tent.

"I will head over toward the main building."

"I, it's still dang-"

'Aigoo we even faced the white star so how dangerous could this be' Cale internally thought

The fire was out but the main building was in such a terrible state that it wouldn't be weird if it fell over at any moment.

That was why the knight was trying to stop Cale, but he eventually closed his mouth.

"Be careful dongsaeng i am pretty sure i dont have to warn you" Alberu said with a scamming smile

"Yes hyung nim i understand" Cale said with a scamming smile too and everyone just ignore them altogether

"Yes sir, I understand."

After considering everything this Commander had done until now, he didn't think that something like this would be very dangerous.'

"Then I will go inspect the evidence left on the corpses once more."

"Got it."

Raon returned from making the calls as soon as Cale answered.

– Human! I contacted all of them! They said that they will all come!

"Is mister Billos okay?" Choi han asked with concern

"I am sure I ahould be okay with Young master nim hospitality and saint nim healing, Choi han nim" Billos replied with a big smile which was returned with a big innocent smile from Jack while Cale just sighed internally

Raon had come with good news as well.

– Billos has regained consciousness! He will come with them! Human, he says he must meet with you!

"I guess i will say everything to you now young master cale nim" Billos mumbled"

A small smile appeared on Cale's face after hearing that Billos was awake and coming to the capital but he couldn't help but think about the merchant guild leader's death.

"...It'll be difficult for Mr. Billos."

Billos let a small sad smile 'Young master nim and choi han nim are so kind for someone like me, I am really grateful to meet someone like them'

Cale silently nodded his head at Choi Han's quiet comment.

Even if he was ostracized for being a bastard son, nobody could fathom what his father's death would mean to Billos.

'That is not necessary to be true' Taylor drank the wine that cage offer as his eyes darken

"Mr Billos is there any chance we can save your Father" Rosalyn asked with concern

"I dont think so, this Hunter organization  must be strong to blow many places at once and .... i am not in good shape right now" Billos replied nervously

"Do you think those hunters can beat dragons" Eruhaben said proudly while Billos eyes shook

"Dont think too much billos" Cale said with stoic but that was enough to reassure

"Cale-nim."

Choi Han's voice became even lower after he moved to stand right behind Cale.

'Hmm?'

Cale slightly turned his head to the back after feeling an unexpected cold aura.

Cale in the hall to got cold sweats

"...Do you think that the Hunters are responsible for these fires?"

"I can't exclude that as a possibility."

Choi Han nodded his head, looked at the burnt Duke's Estate, and made a comment.

"...They are trash."

"Trash is my title" Rok soo said as he puffed his cheeks

"That not true orabuni is not trash" Lily said as she also puffed her cheeks while rok soo chuckled

While cale just didnt look at anyone 'It is mine too idiot'

Cale flinched and turned away from Choi Han. Although Choi Han's face was calm while looking at the tents and the Duke's Estate...

'His eyes are... a bit weird?'

His eyes seemed a bit possessed.

"Pfft possessed he says" Rosalyn said with a mocking tone

Choi Han was giving off quite the vicious aura.

'It makes sense.'

Cale was quite angry right now as well. He was so upset to the point that he could admit that he was extremely angry.

Cale frowned 'This thing even portrays my emotion'

He was just trying his best to maintain his calmness and remain collected.

"Dont worry human we will destroy the hunters or whoever it is that made Billos and the youngest lady of Orsena" Raon said reassuredly

"Thats true nya we will destroy them" Hong said with a smile on his feline face

'Why are kids nowadays speaking of destroying everything' Cale frowned harder

'If I am like this, I'm sure it is worse for Choi Han.'

He would feel even more anger based on his personality.

'Cale nim knows me well' Choi han calmed down as he looked at Cale and the kids

Cale didn't say anything else to Choi Han and entered the main building of the Duke's Estate.

The door must have either burned away or been destroyed as it was gone without a trace.

Pss.

Cale entered into the bare and gruesome Duke's Estate while stepping on ashes.

"The hunters are stronger than I expected," Harol mumbled, his voice tinged with concern.

"Stronger than me?" Toonka asked, pointing to himself. Harol just shrugged.

Choi Han followed behind him and observed the black ashes.

'...The Hunters are a stronger organization than I expected.'

They were able to destroy the King's Palace, a Duke's Estate, and a large Merchant guild in an instant.

Everyone grimaced at Cale's words, but no one denied them.

"Mmph, dragons are stronger," Rasheel mumbled.

"Of course we are stronger! We were just caught off guard," Raon interjected with a pout.

"We're the best. The hunters are just some side villains... maybe," Dodori pondered, wondering whether they were main or side villains.

A lot of people died as a result as well. That fact made Choi Han angry, sad, and concerned.

"Of course, it can't be only me feeling this way," Choi Han thought as he looked around the hall.

"You're not alone, Choi Han. We're all angry that the hunters killed so many innocent people with their destructive intent," Rosalyn said, an angry smile on her face.

"We may have destroyed some buildings during the war, but we made sure no one was hurt—except the bad guys, of course," Archie added with a grumpy expression.

'We're going to fight against such a strong organization?'

Choi Han raised his head and observed Cale's back.

'It is different from the time with the White Star.'

It always felt as if Cale's side was one step ahead of the White Star. However, this issue with the Hunters seemed more like an unexpected raid from the Hunters.

Cale frowned at Choi Han's thoughts. 'Well, it's not my fault that I don't even know anything about the hunters', he mused.

"It's because the White Star has existed in this world for nearly a thousand years, but the hunters are from another world and can travel between them, right? So it will take some time," Sui Khan said, sensing Cale's unease.

"That's true, Sui Khan-nim. Besides, we don't have any information," Ron added with his usual benign smile.

Choi Han and Cale nodded in agreement.

'If they attack us like this-'

If the King's Palace became the crown prince's palace...

If the Duke's House of Orsena turned into the Duke's House of Henituse...

If it was not the Flynn Merchant Guild leader who died but Billos...

Cale frowned at the thought. "Choi Han, don't think about useless stuff." It wasn't just Cale. The Henituse, Alberu, Billos, the dragons, the Molan duo, and many others felt the same.

"I'm sorry, Cale-nim," Choi Han said, feeling ashamed of his thoughts.

"I'll never let my palace get destroyed," Alberu declared with a bright smile.

"And I'll destroy everything if anyone touches our place or our people," Raon said in a sincere tone.

"I will defend the Henituse territory," Lily added, placing her hand on her chest in a show of determination, while the Henituse family just chuckled.

'I guess I'm just overthinking', Choi Han thought, giving an innocent smile to his family.

Going past that-

Choi Han's eyes sank with a dark gaze.

'I need to get stronger.'

Cale sighed at his thought 'Scary elder, why is everyone from choi family are scary'

He was deep in thought when he heard Cale's voice.

"Let's head to young lady Orsena's bedroom and study first. Raon."

– I understand, human!

Cale and Choi Han's bodies floated up. They used flight magic to head to the third floor as the stairs might break.

They heard that young lady Orsena used the entire third floor on her own.

This was an area reserved both in name and in reality for the most likely heir.

"Ho."

Cale gasped.

– Human, this isn't burnt-

"That suspicious" Cage said as she tilted her head

"Indeed it is" Taylor replied

"Now what kind of magic is it, preservation?" Bud asked but no one answered

"Yeah, there's nothing here."

There was nothing in the area following the third floor hallway.

"There's nothing other than a minimal amount of furniture."

"Yeah."

Only a desk and a single chair were in the study.

'wouldnt she erased all the traces tho' Bud frowned 'Even if something was there it might be a trap'

There were no traces of bookshelves or books.

"Do you think that young lady Orsena erased all of her traces before these fires?"

"...Who knows?"

'Me and choi han think alike' Bud looked proudly at himself

The knight would have reported it if it was like that.

He would have said it was something peculiar.

However, he had not made any comments about it.

That meant that it was possible that young lady Orsena always lived like this.

"That's a quick deduction," King Shickler remarked, his eyes glinting with fascination. He had only heard about Cale's deeds through his children, but seeing it firsthand was something else entirely.

"I know, right?" Witira chuckled, though her eyes were serious, capturing everything on the screen. " young master Cale always seems to be two steps ahead"

King Shickler nodded thoughtfully. "It's not just his strategic mind that impresses me, but the way he influences those around him. You children speak of him with a respect I've rarely seen."

Witira's expression softened. "He has a way of making you want to follow him, even when you don't fully understand his plan. There's something... magnetic about him."

Paeston and Archie who heard the conversation just nodded along

"Choi Han, go look into it."

"Yes, Cale-nim."

Choi Han immediately jumped through a window sill and down to the ground.

"Mm."

Cale watched Choi Han's choice of alighting from the residence with an odd gaze before heading for another room.

"Is... something wrong, Cale-nim?" Choi Han asked innocently, tilting his head.

"No," Cale started to say, but before he could, Ron interjected, "Normal people don't head to another room through the window, punk."

"Well, maybe your old eyes are failing you," Choi han retorted, "because if I stepped on that floor, it would have crumbled."

"Ho—" Ron began, but before a conflict could escalate, Alberu stepped in with his usual smile. "Let's continue."

"...There's only a bed."

The bedroom only had a bed, a small table, and a chair. They could barely make those out as they were basically all burnt.

"Let's go up."

The fourth floor was where the other children of the house lived and the fifth floor was reserved for the ducal couple.

"...This was completely burnt."

It looked as if an extreme fire swept through the fourth and fifth floors. They were completely destroyed unlike the third floor, which was still at least somewhat recognizable.

"mm did the fire start from top to bottom, but it said it is a instant fire right" Toonka asked curiously

"I am sure there some reason behind it Commander toonka" Harol replied politely as he was proud of toonka becoming smarter

The aftershock of the fire was stronger the higher they went in the building.

Toonka gasps and nodded his head as he understood the concept

"Raon, even if magic stones were used, how skilled does a person have to be in order to cause a fire of this magnitude?"

Raon spoke out loud since only the two of them were here.

"Mm. Not as skilled as Rosalyn but still needs a decent level of skill! Hmm..."

Rosalyn proudly sit, and flicked her beautiful rose red hair back

while whitira smiled at her cute friend behavior

Raon seemed to be contemplating something for a bit before he continued to speak.

"By the way, human! This... Some of the mana isn't familiar."

"Now it is getting interesting" Eruhaben said as he stared off the screen for clues

"What does that mean?"

"What I am trying to say is... Most of the mana is mana that I am familiar with! However, I can faintly sense a different kind of mana now that we came up to the fourth and fifth floors. It's a bit-"

"From fourth and fifth floor" Sheritt pondered with curiosity

Raon hesitated before adding on.

"It's a bit as if it is mana from a different world. That... You know how apple pies are apple pies but the apple pies made in the Henituse territory and the apple pies made in the palace taste different? It's that kind of feeling!"

"Ah... I understand hehe" Lily said as she liked the way Raon described it and Basen just sighed and smiled

'Ah.'

Cale knew exactly what Raon meant.

"It is extremely faint, but a different kind of mana is here. However, it looks like it will disappear soon. The mana of this world is trying to push that other mana away."

"So it is really the hunters" Alberu said as he tap his fingers on the armrest

Cale nodded his head at the continued explanation.

"It must be mana from a different world."

The Hunters could travel through dimensions.

The current situation was easily possible if a Hunter, who was a mage in a different world, brought over the mana of that world to carry out this plot.

"But why? That's my question," Rok Soo grumbled

"Are the hunters mad that we defeated the White Star or something?" Rasheel grunted

"Well, not really. The hunters don't care about the White Star," Sui Khan replied, with tired voice

"You know something about it?" Raon asked, curiosity sparking in his eyes.

"I know a little," Sui Khan said, shifting the topic smoothly. "As I mentioned earlier, I did some errands for the God of Death, but I'm sure everything will be revealed soon."

"You really like to keep things vague, huh? I wonder if I'm the slacker or if you are," Cale mumbled.

Alberu sighed, thinking to himself, 'The things you do are far from what a slacker would do'

"...What a headache."

Cale started to frown.

'Different dimensions.

"Well its not like we can travel through another dimension for revenge" Pen grumbled with annoyance

"So are you saying to leave Roan Kingdom's king to be abducted?" John asked with a low voice

"Thats not... What i meant" Pen tried to correct his brother

If young lady Orsena or the Hunters who caused this incident are not in this world but
