In the Abyss of Rebirth

As the Keeper of Fate vanished into the abyss, leaving me in a state of suspension, I found myself trapped in an unfathomable darkness. This curious interlude between life and rebirth felt like an eternity as if time itself had ceased to exist. Anticipation swelled within me, for I knew that soon, I would be granted a new existence, complete with the mystical powers I yearned for.

A Glimpse of Light

Then, like a shimmering beacon breaking through the bleakness, a radiant light appeared. It was like the first glimpse of dawn after a night of despair. The luminescence grew, enveloping me in its warm embrace, and I felt myself being drawn inexorably toward it. As the light expanded, it unveiled the truth behind the adage – there was indeed light at the end of the tunnel, and it was beckoning me forward, guiding me to my new beginning.

"Congratulations, sir and madam it's two healthy boys." 

A voice could finally be heard, but my vision is still blurry. I think really just got reborn, I would've thought I only got reincarnated to a random land somewhere. 

"Here dear, you hold Arthur. I'll hold Makoto." A beautiful woman's voice could be heard

Apparently, the keeper gave me the thing I want to keep my name, I mean he's the keeper of fate he can pull some strings, right? It seems that I have a twin, hope to be good brothers in the future, and now bro. 

"Look Arthur has your hair honey." A manly voice now could be heard

"But look Makoto has this pure black hair, that's rare here." The woman's voice replied

I could say that both of these people are my parents, hope they're not like my past parents. Oh yeah, I just realized, I can understand them. This is English, I'm pretty fluent in English cause of games. Also, did I really get reincarnated to a fantasy world, or fucking small-heath Birmingham? 

Let's just enjoy this new life of mine, with hopefully great parents. Also, I have a brother now, hope his personality is nice at least. As my vision finally became clear, I can see both of my parents with a gentle and beautiful smile on my mother's face with a loving aura while my father looks like he was the strong type, isn't he? 

The image of our parents' gentle smiles etched itself into my heart. I knew this was the beginning of something special – a journey filled with love and support. My father's exuberance at becoming a dad made me chuckle inwardly, even though we had only been born mere minutes ago. 

"Hi, Art and Makoto I'm your daddy can you say dada?" Dad said to us

Is he serious, we were just born 5 minutes ago. I guess he's just really stoked to be a dad. 

"Rey, they were just born." Mom said revealing the name of my dad

Glad to know my mom has some common sense, but I know that my dad will be a fun person. I looked around the room and saw something, It's adventuring gear... I'm really in a fantasy world, but there's still no sign of magic let's not be too hyped yet.

I didn't know getting reborn would be this boring, I can't do anything myself. It's been weeks since I was born, and I still am getting everything done by my parents. I can't hold in my poo or even piss, I can't do anything with this body. I also feel weird being touched by Mom, especially Dad his way of doing things is just rough. 

I don't know why I don't feel embarrassed, I only feel weird being touched by my parents while having full consciousness. Maybe some kind of special ability that I don't know, or I just don't care. 

My parents' different approaches to handling us – my father's rough but loving touch, and my mother's gentle and nurturing one – only served to deepen my appreciation for their unique personalities. Instead of feeling discomfort at their touch, I marveled at the different forms love could take. 

"Daddy's home, how are my little boys doing?" Dad barged in through the door and spoke loudly

He looked at the closest one gladly that was Arthur, he grab Arthur and threw him in the air. Wtf did I just see, that's a planned murder of a baby. Note to me when the normal time Dad comes home is close get as far away from the door.

"REY! What are you doing?! What are you gonna do If you drop him?!" Mom shouted at Dad angrily

When Arthur was back in Dad's arms, he looked dead inside. I always wonder, Is Arthur also reincarnate like me, or Is he a normal baby? 

"Look honey, I think little Art is enjoying himself!" Dad said excitedly

After that he spun Arthur round and round, It seems that I really got lucky. I should thank Arthur when we grow up, he saved me many times.

*THUMP*

Ouchie, that must've hurt. Arthur's knee would probably be really bruised, that was a pretty hard blow on his knee. Also, he's still a baby, his body is still really fragile comparing it to a normal human.

"Waaaaaa!" Arthur cried

"Gagaaa!" I said trying to encourage my brother

Tch, this mouth of mine still can't come up with the correct words. Mom took Bro from Dad and took him distance from Dad. 

"You're okay my little baby?" my mom's voice could be heard

*sob*

"Now let Mommy fix you up." her voice could be heard again

After that, I could only see a green glow from back here. If my guess is correct, this is the sign that I have been waiting for.

"There, all better!" Mom's voice sounded bright again

I looked at Art's knee and saw the bruise had disappeared. Haha, magic is indeed real. Now the next step is to find how to use magic, or have mana.

So I've learned how to crawl, and I can say that I'm gonna be worst in physical activities than Arthur. Why? cause he did it earlier than me. I forgot about something that's always inside an RPG game, that's called status. 

It's night right now, my parents are outside of my room and Art's sleeping soundly beside me. 

"Status" 

Haha... It worked, I can see my status. There's my name, my age, and the other normal stuff. But something's concerning me there are 2 more lists, unique skill, and lifespan. It says there

Unique Skill: -Clear Mind

Lifespan        : 10 Years.

it was the revelation of my lifespan that stirred both fascination and trepidation within me. The display indicated a mere ten years allotted to me in this world. I pondered what lay beyond that countdown – would I be fated to meet a planned end, or would it be a spontaneous departure into the unknown? With courage in my heart, I resolved to cherish every moment, embarking on this life with a sense of purpose and wonder.

Now let's get to skills, RPG player, and clear mind. Firstly let's check clear mind, I pressed on the menu.

A skill for maintaining a calm state of mind.

Automatically turns on if the user is in a nervous state maximum usage of 50%
Manually turn it on if the user wants It above 50%

Well, that explains it. I've been feeling unusually calm about everything, let's not overuse it. I don't wanna become dead inside, let's just use 20% of it that's enough to keep my head clear on these normal days.

"Clear mind 20%," I said out loud 

Didn't feel anything different yet, but the number on the status display is now at 20%. Now next skill is the RPG player skill.

A skill that allows the user to use the perspective of a person playing an RPG game. He can see 360 degrees, within the RPG Player there's other skill to be used by the user.

Traveler Skills:
-Dismantle

Thief Skills:
-Detection
-Evasion
-Stealth

Wow, that's a lot of skills. Even though all of them are still apprentice level, If put to use correctly they can be really useful. I guess magic is still unavailable for me, I still don't know how to awaken my magic or at least some kind of core for the mana. 

Now that I've checked my skills, let's try to use it on Arthur. Maybe I can find out if he's a reincarnate or not.

"Status appraisal" I voiced it out loud, as expected it worked

Weird, all of the normal things are the same as mine but for one he doesn't have a lifespan countdown like me. Also he has one unique skill right now, and this has confirmed it for me.

Unique Skill: 
-Expert Swordsmanship.

The weird thing about the skill is not the swordsmanship, but the expert. All of my skills are still apprentice level. A twinge of envy surfaced when I noticed that his "Swordsmanship" skill had already reached an "Expert" level. Perhaps the Keeper of Fate held a fondness for my brother, or maybe our fates were inextricably intertwined, our paths bound to converge and diverge in intriguing ways. 

Now onto the next project, it's almost midnight everyone's probably asleep. I've checked multiple times now, but most of the doors inside the house are left open even the door to our bedroom. Now my aim is to get knowledge from the study room, there's probably a clue as to how I can awaken mana or magic.

I don't know how long I've been staying in the study room, but I'm still not that sleepy for some reason. Fortunately because of that now I've learned more stuff about where I'm at.

This is the continent of Dicathen, and there are 3 kingdoms inside of it. The first one is Elenoir, the land of the elves it's somewhere in the deep forest. Next is Darv, the land of the Dwarfs it's somewhere underground. Lastly, my place of birth is the land of humans, The Kingdom Of Sapin. All of the Kingdoms still used the monarchy system, as expected of an RPG world.

Now to the important part, I've found out about MAGIC!!!! Ok, so magic is majority luck based if your parents have magic, you probably will too. There are two common ways to use mana Conjuring and Augmenting. 

Firstly Augmenting, users who enhance their bodies using mana, allowing them to possess incredible strength, defense, and agility. However, their weakness lies in their limited range.

Secondly Conjuring, users who emit mana to the outside world allowing them to bend their surroundings to their will, possessing unfathomable powers. However, their weakness is that they must supplement their own mana core with mana from the outside world.

I can already see Arthur as an Augmenter with his Expert Swordsmanship skill. So I won't compete on becoming the better Augmenter, I'll just be myself and become a Conjurer. Well, that's just me speaking, let's just see when we awaken who's gonna be what.

There are also 4 magic types that are, earth, fire, water, and wind. But that's not it if you get even luckier, you can be something called a deviant this is the upgraded version of those plain old elements. My mom is an emitter, which means she's a deviant. 

Unfortunately, the books don't explain how to awaken the mana core faster. I'll just have to try myself then. 

Oh yeah I'm wishing to be able to use all of the elements, but that's probably impossible so I'm praying for fire magic, the one I want to get far away from Is water. I love fire magic, my character in RPG games has always chosen fire magic. While water is so boring and bad, if there's a fire hot enough it can just boil the water.

As days turned into weeks, I delved deeper into the enigmatic world of Dicathen, seeking answers to the mysteries that enveloped me. The kingdoms of Elenoir, Darv, and Sapin beckoned with their own tales of grandeur and wonder, their histories rich with the essence of magic and royalty.

The complexities of magical elements, their attributes, and the diverse skills that accompany them fascinated my inquisitive mind. I found myself entranced by the idea of becoming a Conjurer, wielding the powers of fire magic in all its resplendent glory.

With every passing day, my connection with my family deepened. I reveled in the warmth of their love, finding solace in their comforting presence. My parents' unyielding support and love gave me the strength to face the uncertainties of the future with unwavering determination.

Even amidst the joys and marvels of my new life, the ominous countdown of my lifespan remained a lingering specter. Yet, I chose to perceive it not as a burden, but as a reminder of the preciousness of time and the urgency to make every moment count

AN: Haha, that's it for the chapter. This took me a while because I was confused at first If I wanted to make it different from Pov's or just Makoto's only right now. If you guys wanted another Pov's it'll be coming in the future, cause right now the main character is Makoto so let him shine for a bit.
