Grey Vritra
Relictombs, said to be built by the Djinns, the ancient mages. It is built to preserve their knowledge about Aether and is made specifically for it to not let any Asuras enter.
It has been 3 months of training for the four of us, and a lot have improved. I am now a white core mage, the same as the two, Caera and Nico. The two elixirs that old man gave me, or that Asura gave me finally got its purpose. I honestly forgot about it and I'm thankful that I didn't throw my old dimension ring out.
I gave it to the two and it boosted their core by a stage, and then all that's left is their own effort to reach the white stage. Caera achieved it first, approximately a week ago. While Nico did it just three days ago.
Cecilia on the other hand beat us, as she's already reached the integration stage. Integration stage is basically your whole body becomes the mana core. This is how it is mostly for all the adult Asuras.
It's the second time I've been here and it still looks the same. I stood still on the doorframe of the basement of Taegrin Caelum, watching over my peers who's now chosing what kind of item they want. Agrona gave us the opportunity to let us take whatever item we want before entering the relictombs.
Caera walked up to me and stood beside me as she looked back at the room. "Aren't you gonna pick anything Grey?" Caera ask putting her face just a few inches away from mine.
"No, I already picked some items here last time."
"Hmm?" Saying that, she moved closely, and I backed my face until it touched the wall. "okay, but at least take an armor with you. It can help you in many ways." She said with a frown withdrawing her head, getting back on her former place.
"What's the point of wearing armor if you don't plan on getting hit?" I replied with a smirk.
"What the hell are you bragging about Grey?" Nico said, slowly walking towards me, following him is Cecilia.
"You guys finished?" I asked, I received a nod from Cecilia. While Nico brought out something from his dimension ring.
"What's that?"
"It's a metal, metal from a Vritra." Nico explained putting it back in his ring.
"And? What are you planning to do with it?" I added another question.
"A powerful weapon that shoots projectile, made by humans just to kill another of their kind." Nico replied, he tried to sound wise but it's pretty obvious what he's trying to do with it.
"Seriously dude? A gun?" I asked, not intrigued with his 'invention'.
"That's why I'm using this Vritra metal for it. Maybe it can handle a bullet with soul fire? Who knows?" He said shrugging his shoulders.
"We can turn it to an armor so you won't die easily." I said staring into his eyes.
"What's the point of wearing armor if you don't plan on getting hit?" He replied with a smirk.
"Stop copying me, you look dumb. And also you need it so you won't die."
"Cecil will heal me."
"We're supposed to protect her, not make her a medic."
Sparks appeared between the two of us. Fake smile appeared on our faces and the useless banter continues.
"Grey, I'm weak physically back then so I practiced using a gun. So just let me do it." Nico explained his side.
"Are you trying to be unique or to be stupid?"
"Nope, I'll still do it." He replied shortly with an annoying smirk on his face reminding me of Agrona.

I looked at Cecilia to get her opinion and she also just shrugged her shoulders. Not having too much choice, I looked at Caera who knows looked puzzled. "uhh... What's a gun?"
Silence filled the room and no one dared to speak but I know that the three of us are now mentally slapping our forehead.

In a few hours, We will be entering the relictombs. But not without saying goodbyes to everyone. The four of us stood in front of Agrona, who's surprisingly dressed in an elegant red and black robe fitting for his title as the ruler of Alacrya. Not only Agrona but also with Cadell and Seris beside him.
"Before you guys go, I will now cite all the orders you're supposed to follow even if you're already inside the relictombs. Always remember that this is not just a training, this is a challenge for all of you to test your newly found strength and to identify your weaknesses for you to develop more. Every one of you should help each other even if you're on the side of winning or losing. Use every knowledge you know how to defeat your enemy. Do not show mercy to those who bare their fangs on you first. And do not underestimate yourselves, you may have human blood in you but you're all still mostly Asuran, so take pride in it. I may have already said a lot of things but this is the most important. No matter what, come back here. Alive and complete."
Agrona said that, with a tone I only heard back when I first met him. A ruler, a ruler who lived through hundreds of years. A voice that contain authority and knowledge far from everyone else. He truly is someone deserving to become a ruler of this Continent.
Agrona stepped forward, and brought something out of his dimension ring. It is a silver ring, with a red gem on top of it. "This ring is an artifact that would let you use telepathy to talk to each other. It will work as long as all of you are in the same zone." He said, giving us the rings one by one.
"Of course, for you to be together in the same zone is that you need a stimulet." Agrona said summoning four stimulets from his dimension ring, giving it to us again.
"I know all of you are excited now, so I'll let you guys go. This is the tempus wrap to the relictombs in the central dominion." He said tossing it to me and I caught it perfectly.
I looked around my team and all of them seems ready. I looked at Agrona and he just nodded, signalling that I have the permission to use it here.
“Well then, farewell." I said outloud and activated the tempus wrap.

Cadell Vritra
Grey and the others disappeared, meaning the tempus wrap worked and took them to the entrance of the Relictombs. Seris turned to the High sovereign and bowed elegantly as she then walked to the door exiting the room. Seeing her leave, I looked at the High Sovereign to ask something for confirmation.
“What is it Cadell? It seems you have something in mind." Lord Agrona said looking at me, taking his eyes away from the newspaper he's reading.
“Why did you lie my Lord?" I asked in my usual serious voice.
“Elaborate Cadell, I always lie so I don't know which one you're talking about." He said putting the newspaper on the table.
“I know all your doings are absolute. But about the Phoenix girl, why did you say that all of them have human blood in them. Cecilia's body is a Phoenix with Vritra blood. Won't that stop her from entering the relictombs?"
“Ah, no, that body I gave her is the Phoenix child who came here to find her mother. That child's mother is a Phoenix named Dawn. Along with the remains of Asclepius clan, she was banished from Epheotus because of protesting about the genocide of the Djinns. Do you know how they framed them?" Lord Agrona questioned with an amused face. I shook my head left to right because I don't know the answer to his question.
“Amusingly, it's the same as mine reason as mine. Having an intimate relationship with a lesser. But, the only difference is that those reason for them is factual."
“That means..."
“Yes, a Phoenix from Asclepius clan is having an intimate relationship with a lesser. That Phoenix is Dawn, and the result of that relationship is the girl. The vessel of the Legacy."
“But my Lord, the girl feels like she's truly a deity. Everything about her screams that she's an Asura."
“Phoenixes, their body get stronger everytime they reincarnate in the same body. The girl, guess how many lives she got left?"
“So she's a hybrid. But because of the Phoenix's ability, she gained a body of a true Asura."
“Correct, but that doesn't mean that she's completely an Asura." The High Sovereign finished his explanation.
“Thank you for answering me, my Lord. You're as wise as always." I said and bowed. “Then, I'll also return to my duty." I said exiting the office of the High Sovereign.
