"emily! are you ready?" you called up the stairs to your sister.

"yes, coming" she said, struggling with the m.

you three had planned to go watch a baseball game game, charlie's.

after some minutes emily cane walking downstairs and you helped her putting on her shoes and jacket.

"are we going to watch uncle charlie?" she asked as soon as you patted her shoe when you got done tying them.

"yes, but first we have to go pick up taylor at work" you informed her and she excitedly clapped.

"yay!!" you smiled at her, putting on your own jacket.

"you love taylor, don't you?" you asked at her, already knowing the answer and smiling.

emily had spent with you and taylor now around 3 weeks, it was not a lot, but both you and taylor really loved her, and you were sure emily loved you two too.

"i do! and i love you too" she said hugging your leg.

"thank you sweetie, are you ready and you have your teddy bear?" you asked her and she nodded at the fist part and lifted up in front of you her teddy bear.

"okay good, let's go then" you picked her up and walked to the car. she didn't need to picked up but it was faster that way, emily's little legs are too slow to keep us with your pace and you were late.

you helped emily in her car seat but thankfully she can buckle herself and so you just made her sat there and closed the door, walking to the driver seat and driving off, to taylor's record studio.

"can you play music?" emily asked after two minuted of silence. you didn't answer verbally, you just turned the radio on, where 'sticks season' by noah kahan was playing.

"can you play some of taylor's songs?" she asked again.

"yes, one second sweetheart. I need to find the aux, I'll change it the next red light" you said and two minutes later, when you got to the red light, you connected your phone at the car and played your playlist. 'all taylor swift songs'.

"are we almost there?" emily asked, her big eyes peering out the window.

"almost, sweetie," you replied, turning onto the street where taylor's studio was located. "we'll be there in just a few minutes."

when you pulled up in front of the studio, you texted taylor and she walked outside, bodyguards around her. she looked up to your car, and the smile that spread across her face made your heart skip a beat.

"look who's here!" you said to emily pointing to taylor.

emily's face lit up with excitement as she unbuckled herself from the seat. "taylor!" she squealed, practically bouncing in her seat.

you opened the car door, and before you could even get out, emily was already scrambling out of the car, running toward taylor with open arms. taylor laughed, dropping her bag on the ground to catch emily as she launched herself into her embrace.

"hey there, kiddo!" taylor said, lifting emily up and spinning her around. emily giggled, clinging to taylor as she gave her a big hug.

you watched the scene unfold, feeling a warm surge of affection as you closed the car door and walked over to them. seeing taylor and emily together like this never failed to fill you with joy.

taylor set emily down, but not before planting a quick kiss on her cheek. she then turned to you, her smile softening as she reached out to pull you into a hug. "hey, you," she murmured, pressing her lips to your temple.

"hey," you replied, hugging her back tightly. "ready to watch charlie crush it on the field?"

"definitely," taylor said, pulling back slightly to look at you, her eyes sparkling. "and i'm ready to spend some time with my two favorite girls."

emily, who had been holding onto taylor's hand, looked up at the two of you with a bright smile. "are we going to get snacks at the game?" she asked, her voice full of anticipation.

taylor laughed, ruffling emily's hair. "of course! what's a baseball game without snacks?"

you grinned, reaching down to take emily's other hand. "come on, let's get going. we don't want to miss the first pitch."

the three of you made your way back to the car, hand in hand. taylor helped emily into her booster seat, making sure she was buckled in securely before climbing into the passenger seat herself. even though emily could buckle herself, taylor never trusted her doing it, and she actually told you to never trust it either. so you just help her when taylor is around.

as you started the car and pulled away from the studio, you felt a sense of contentment wash over you. it was moments like these that made everything feel right.

the drive to the baseball field was filled with easy conversation and laughter. emily kept pointing out things she saw out the window, and you and taylor exchanged amused glances as she chattered on. it was clear that emily was excited about the game, and her enthusiasm was infectious.

when you arrived at the field, the stands were already filling up with people. you found a spot to park, and after gathering your things, you headed toward the bleachers, emily's hand securely in yours while taylor walked on her other side.

charlie's team was already warming up on the field, and you quickly spotted him among the players. you waved, and he waved back with a grin before returning to his practice.

"uncle charlie looks so cool in his uniform!" emily exclaimed, her eyes wide as she watched the players.

"he does, doesn't he?" you agreed, squeezing her hand gently. "he's been practicing a lot for this game."

taylor glanced at you, her eyes full of warmth. "you must be so proud of him."

"i am," you replied, smiling back at her. "charlie's worked really hard to get here."

as you found a spot in the bleachers, emily eagerly climbed up to sit between you and taylor. the game was about to start, and the excitement in the air was palpable.

taylor leaned in close to you, her arm draping around your shoulders as she whispered in your ear, "i'm glad we're all here together."

you turned to look at her, your heart swelling with affection. "me too," you whispered back, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek.

emily, who had been watching the players on the field, noticed the exchange and giggled. "you two are always kissing," she said with a grin.

you and taylor both laughed, sharing a look of amusement. "we can't help it," you said, playfully nudging emily. "we like each other a lot."

emily giggled again, clearly delighted by the affection between the two of you. the game started, and you all focused on the action, cheering for charlie as he took his place on the field.

throughout the game, the three of you shared snacks, laughter, and plenty of sweet moments. taylor would lean over to whisper something funny in your ear, making you both laugh, while emily would ask questions about the game, which you and taylor answered patiently.

at one point, emily climbed into taylor's lap, leaning back against her as she watched the game with wide eyes. taylor wrapped her arms around the little girl, holding her close and pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

you couldn't help but smile at the sight. taylor had always been great with emily, but seeing them so comfortable and affectionate with each other filled you with a deep sense of happiness.

as the game went on, charlie hit a home run, and you all jumped to your feet, cheering loudly. emily was especially enthusiastic, clapping her hands and shouting, "go charlie!"

taylor joined in the cheering, her arm still around emily as she celebrated with you. the energy in the stadium was electric, and you could feel the excitement radiating from emily as she experienced the thrill of a live baseball game for the first time.

after the game, you all made your way down to the field to congratulate charlie. he was sweaty and tired, but his face lit up when he saw you approaching with taylor and emily.

"you were amazing!" you said, pulling charlie into a hug.

"thanks," he replied, grinning as he hugged you back. he then turned to emily, who was beaming up at him. "did you like the game, em?"

"it was so fun!" emily exclaimed, bouncing on her toes. "you're really good, uncle charlie!"

charlie chuckled, ruffling her hair affectionately. "thanks, kiddo. i'm glad you had fun."

taylor offered charlie a warm smile. "you did great out there, charlie. we were all cheering for you."

charlie smiled back at her, clearly appreciative. "thanks, taylor. it means a lot that you guys were here."

as you all walked back to the car, the sun setting in the distance, you felt an overwhelming sense of contentment. the day had been perfect, filled with laughter, love, and the kind of moments that you knew you'd cherish forever.

when you got home later that evening, emily was already half-asleep in the backseat, worn out from the excitement of the day. you carefully carried her inside, taylor holding the door open for you as you made your way to emily's room.

you gently tucked her into bed, brushing a stray lock of hair away from her face as she mumbled something in her sleep. taylor stood beside you, her hand resting on your back as she watched emily with a soft smile.

"she had a good day," taylor whispered, her voice full of affection.

"she did," you agreed, leaning down to kiss emily's forehead. "we all did."

as you both quietly left emily's room and headed to your own, you couldn't help but feel grateful for the life you were building together. taylor wrapped her arms around you as you crawled into bed, pulling you close as she kissed your cheek.

"i love you," she murmured, her voice soft and sincere.

"i love you more," you whispered back, snuggling into her embrace.

the warmth of taylor's body against yours and the knowledge that emily was safe and happy in the next room made you feel like everything was exactly as it should be.

you were about to fall asleep with your phone dinged. you picked it up and looked if it was worthy answering. it was your dad. the beautiful day you had, ruined with a single message.
