"What happened?" Giyuu asked, his voice filled with curiosity as he raised an eyebrow.Shinobu answered his question with a warm smile, her lips curling upwards as she gestured toward the chair in front of her.

"Please, have a seat. I made a reservation at this exquisite restaurant so that we can have a relaxed, meaningful conversation." she explained, her smile growing wider and more radiant. Giyuu followed her invitation, sinking into the plush seat and feeling a mixture of nervousness and anticipation bubbling within him.

"I'm guessing you received my message?" Shinobu inquired, her voice tinged with hope which was delicate yet filled with a certain determination. Giyuu nodded in response, his eyes glancing at her with a hint of uncertainty.

"Yes, I did. So...why did you ask me out?" he stammered ever so slightly with a small blush overcoming his cheeks, which only enhanced his rugged and mysterious appearance. He has always been a man of few words, with his emotions hidden beneath a calm facade.

Shinobu's eyes sparkled as she spoke, a touch of vulnerability coloring her voice. "I want us to be more than just co-workers. I want to be closer to you, as close as possible," she confessed, her voice revealing a depth of emotion that took Giyuu by surprise. He couldn't help but feel a rush of emotions, a sense of longing deep within his heart as her words sunk in.

"But why?" he questioned, a sudden realization striking him like a bolt of lightning. His gaze locked with hers, searching for answers to questions that had haunted him for so long. "Do you know about our past... during the Taisho Era?" As the words escaped his lips, a flicker of fear mingled with hope danced in his eyes, almost as if he was afraid of what he might discover.

Shinobu's eyes widened in surprise, a mixture of shock and confusion etched on her delicate features. "W-what? How did you...?" she trailed off, unable to find the right words to express her astonishment. Giyuu's smile widened as he revealed the source of his knowledge. "Kagaya-san told me," he admitted, extending his hand for a handshake as a symbol of connection and understanding. "It's a pleasure to meet you again, Shinobu," he said warmly, his voice laced with a sense of familiarity and fondness.

Shinobu's face lit up with joy, her eyes shimmering with a blend of happiness and relief. "The pleasure is all mine, Giyuu," she replied, her voice more assured now, filled with a renewed sense of hope and newfound clarity. In that moment, their past intertwined with the present, building a bridge towards an uncertain yet promising future, where their shared history would strengthen the bond between them and pave the way for a love that had withstood the test of time.

"It took me a significant amount of time before I could believe in Kagaya-san," Giyuu expressed, his voice filled with a mix of astonishment and uncertainty. "Yeah...me too," Shinobu replied, her tone echoing his sentiment. "It's quite extraordinary how you were once involved with Mitsuri and Obanai was dating me," Shinobu added, a soft chuckle escaping her lips. "Now that I know about their past, it does feel a bit strange, but I'm genuinely happy that they ultimately found each other," Giyuu stated, a genuine smile forming on his face. "Indeed, it seems like it was the best outcome for both of them," Shinobu agreed, her eyes glancing gently at Giyuu.

Curiosity getting the better of her, Shinobu questioned, "So...how is Sabito-san doing?" The warmth in Giyuu's expression shifted to annoyance. "That guy is anything but sick," he scoffed, a hint of frustration in his voice. "He even played a prank on me, replacing my toothpaste with shaving cream and laughed his fucking ass off," Giyuu continued, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as he recalled the memory. Shinobu couldn't help but laugh, finding Sabito's optimism during tough times oddly endearing. "It's admirable how he manages to stay positive despite everything," she commented, her voice carrying genuine appreciation.

However, concern soon overshadowed Giyuu's features, his smile fading away. "I can't help but worry about him. His condition doesn't have a cure," he confessed, his voice tinged with sadness. Sensing his distress, Shinobu gently reached out, her hand finding his. She squeezed it reassuringly, offering him comfort. "Don't burden yourself with excessive worry, Giyuu-san. Be positive," she encouraged, her eyes filled with genuine care. Giyuu was slightly taken aback by the unexpected physical contact, but he managed to muster a smile in response. "I suppose you're right," he admitted, his grip on her hand tightening slightly, conveying his gratitude for her support.

"Ko-Shinobu, can I be honest?" Giyuu asked, and Shinobu raised an eyebrow, replying with a curious "Yeah?"

"Let's date...." Giyuu said, causing Shinobu to look at him in shock. "I know we've just met our new selves, but I can't bear to lose you again. In my past life, I wasn't able to be with you, and I refuse to make that mistake again. Trust me, even though we barely know each other now, it will be worth it," Giyuu explained earnestly.

Shinobu smiled and nodded, expressing her agreement, "Let's not repeat the same mistake, Giyuu-san." She moved closer to him and continued, "Let's hope for happiness and good health this time."

Giyuu pulled her even closer, a smirk forming on his lips as he asked, "May I?" Shinobu chuckled softly and replied, "Yes." They leaned in and shared a passionate kiss. Shinobu's hands wrapped around his neck, and Giyuu's hands encircled her waist, deepening their connection.

After a moment of intense heat, they pulled away, both breathing heavily.

"I love you, Shinobu," Giyuu confessed.

"I love you too, Giyuu," Shinobu reciprocated.
