AUTHOR POV:

The word trust is like fragile glass, and once it's broken, it's very hard to fix it back. And even if you try to fix it, the cracks on the glass remain as constant reminder of the mistakes one makes.

Cheya, being the elder daughter of her family, knew this very well. But her curiosity about seeing and learning new things made her do some choices which is foolish.

Well, that might not seem foolish for her.

It was not a grave sin that she committed, yet she felt guilty for deceiving her parents, who had immense trust in their daughter.

Mr. and Mrs. Seth returned home after Mile's game, accompanied by Nino and Mile. But as soon as they returned, they felt an odd silence, which was unusual. They expected both their daughters to be home by now, having finished their classes. And they also very well know that if they had left both the sisters together alone for some time, they would be annoying each other and running around the house like cats and mice by this time. Even if one of the two is a full-grown adult, it doesn't matter to them.

Typical sibling behavior.

However now, there was only complete silence. Except for the television sound that was coming from the living room, only to find out Siya was lazing around, probably binge-watching a Netflix show while eating her snacks.

On the other hand, Nino and Mile knew what was coming next. They exchanged glances, and Mile mouthed 'you people are dead' to his sister.

"Siya, where is Cheya?" It came out of Mr. Seth's voice, making Siya startled a bit. His voice was calm as usual, and he thought that Cheya may be in her room sleeping or doing her assignments.

"Oh, mom, dad. Hi!! When did you guys come?" She said it, chuckling nervously.
All of them took their seats on the couch while Mr. Seth was relaxing, tired from driving for more than 2 hours by now.

"The house seems unusually silent today. What an odd thing!" Mrs. Seth voiced her thoughts.

"Yeah, you're right, Kala. Because it's not our daughters who would sit this quietly," Mr. Seth chuckled. To which his wife added "true."

Seeing both the elders joking around, the three kids were looking at each other's faces. They seemed to be conversing through their eyes. And shockingly, they understood each other very well.

How could they not understand? They grew up together. More like growing up together.

Mrs. Seth noticed their subtle glances towards each other and instantly knew that her four kids were up to something fishy.

Nothing can be hidden from moms. That's the universal truth. Period!

"Siya, where is your sister?" She asked her daughter with a stern tone, as Siya was engaged in 'eye talk' with Nino.

"She... She... actual-actually... She is" She stuttered, thinking of saying anything, but her mind was blank and her tongue didn't have words.

Hearing all these, Mr. Seth turned his attention to them.

"Yeah she? Where?" It was Mile who butted in, mocking his two sisters. All the while having a smug smile dancing on his face.

Well, he was enjoying their misery.

"Mile, what's going on here?" Mr. Seth asked.

"Even I don't know Uncle Sam; why don't you ask our Nini here? Right Nini? Where is Cheya?" Mile said, turning his head towards Nino.

"Or should I say it?"

"Can anyone explain what is going on?" Mrs. Seth said.

Nino and Siya both kept looking everywhere except their parents side, not being able to answer the elders who were looking at them intently.

*******

SIYA'S POV:

I am doomed, we are in trouble, and most importantly, Cheya is in a mess.

Our parents were on a range, and I have never witnessed them being this angry in my whole 17 years of life.

"Nini, do you think we would be forgiven this time?" I whispered to Nino, who was beside me.

"I don't think so, Sisi; Babe is in a very deep shit this time," she said.

At the end, we told everything to our parents, like we had any choice. Either way, they would have gotten to know the truth. Because apparently Cheya will be away for a month.

Well, it was she who said that she would manage our parents, so I will leave that persuading shit on her head.

She is their dear daughter, after all.
As of now, both of my parents are trying to get in contact with Cheya. But her phone seemed out of reach.

"Nino, did Cheya text you or something about where she is?" Mom asked.

"I will see Aunt Kala; my phone was dead. I just put it for charging," Nino replied, walking to take her phone.

"How could you do this, Siya? You know very well what happened to your sister the last time she went out." It was dad again saying the same thing over and over again.

"Dad I know it, and I remember it very well. I was not that small to not know what was happening around me. And it's already been years; why are you guys still hanging on to that one incident? Cheya is fine now and is more mature to take care of herself." I kind of yelled at them, annoyed by their overly protective nature. "Stop worrying too much and let your daughter see the world and experience life. She is my sister, and if she knows everything by default, I will also learn from her."

"We, sisi, it's we. Include Mile and me in that learning part," Nino added, looking at her phone.

"You guys will never understand what we are feeling. And how could you people help her in this?" Mom scolded.
"Mom, not again."

"Oh, wait, Cheya did text me a few hours ago," Nino said, making both my parents go up to her instantly.

"She said that she missed her camp van and is going with her senior doctor. Dr. Cena"

Hearing that, my dad instantly rushed to call someone. And if my guess were correct, it would be Dr. Cena. And I don't know how the hell he has that doctors number with him. Maybe he took it the last time my dad went to meet him. I just shrugged thinking it would be the same.

Cheya says a lot about him. Sometimes it's always about how annoying and arrogant he is, and other times it's about how hot and handsome he looks.

Like, how in the hell does she have dual opinions on this guy? It's either hate or like. But for her, it seems like she is in the middle of both.

And I do think she has a crush on him, which she did not admit. Yet
"Yuv, this is Sam Cheya's dad. Is Cheya with you?" My dad's voice brought me back from my thoughts.

So I was right. It was indeed my sister's, Mr. Aloof.

"She came to the camp without informing anyone in the home. And everyone is worried about her."

No one except the two of you is worried about her. I scoffed, which Nino and Mile heard, giving me a very knowing look.

Okay!! I agree that everyone is worried, including me. She is my sister, after all.

"Cheya Seth, do you have any idea what you are doing? How can you just go out without informing anyone? I'm disappointed, Cheya. " Papa spoke.

He is surely disappointed because he never calls her by her full name.

Partiality much! Am I jealous of my own sister? Hell no! Well, maybe sometimes. But I do love my sister.

But, oh well, at least my sister gets to enjoy her life, so who cares about that now? We can deal with our parents later on.

"Papa, I'm so sorry that I did this. But you guys gave me no choice. It was for my grades too; I had to come to this camp at any cost." Cheya spoke, and we all could hear her as Papa put the phone on speaker so mom could also hear.

"We could have talked about it Cheya. And who in the world gave you this idea?" Mom asked her.

Ohh, Cheya, you're doomed. I snickered. Because it was totally her idea and plan, and we just helped.

We are not the culprits here. She is.

Not the time to think all this, Siya.
"It was Siya's. She is the one who gave me"

Who's idea again? My eyes widened as big as they could.

Nooo... It's not mine. I wanted to shout, but one glare from my mother was all it took to shut me up before I spoke even a word.

Cheya, you bitch. I will see you once you come back home. And I am damn sure she would be smirking through the phone right now.

On the other hand, I could clearly see Nino and Mile laughing silently at me. Oh, you guys are dead meat today. I glared at them, to which they tried.

Keyword tried- not to laugh.

Papa sighed, annoyed with our acts. He couldn't say anything to anyone at this point. The deed is done, and Cheya can't come back, mostly because she is already near her camp area.

"Where is your phone, Chika?"

"Oh, my phone actually has no network, papa. I'm sorry for worrying you guys. I am safe and will return safely. Please don't be worried; you can be mad at me however much you want. But please don't be worried. I'm already feeling guilty for lying to guys; it will be more if you're worried.

I scoffed upon hearing her. After putting the blame on me, she asked them not to worry. What about me? I will be grounded now.

"Is Yuv with you, Cheya?"

"Yeah, he is; he is driving at the moment."

"Yuv, please take care of her. And I request that you please call us immediately if something happens. No matter how small it can be, I know she is grown up and can take care of herself, but I just can't stop worrying for her. It's the first time she will be away from us for a long time now."

"You need not worry about that, Uncle Sam. I will take care of her, no matter what. You can trust me on this."

Cheya was indeed true; his voice is so deep and calming. You found a nice man for yourself, my dear sister.

Again, not the time, Siya. There are worse matters coming for you.

"I know Yuv, and I trust you. Thank you so much for that. We all owe you one big favor."

"Cheya, don't create any other Drama over there. And take care of yourself. Don't leave the camp site alone, and don't roam around without informing Dr. Cena. We need you home in one piece. Is that clear?" Mom warned her.

"Yes mumma I will be fine. And I will call you three times a day. Is that enough for you to know that I will be safe?"

"Yes, you better call us."

With that, they hung up the call and looked toward me.

And that means one thing, which I knew would happen.

I am indeed, grounded.

"Yes, yes. I know you believe your daughter too much to not listen to this poor soul. So yeah, I'm grounded, I know."

"It's not only you, but Nino and Mile too." Okay, this is nice, then.

Even though Nino and Mile are our cousins, my parents treat them as their own kids and would punish them with us.

And if any of them thinks that my aunt and uncle, Nino and Mile's parents, would have problems with that, then they are absolutely wrong.

Aunt Priscilla and Uncle Rain have no problem with that.
Because, at the end of the day, we are all one family.

"What, but why me? I didn't know that they all planned it. I just got to know about it the last moment." There comes out the whinny Mile.

"Well, think of the fact that you didn't know and was also not a part of this plan of your sisters it will be less duration for you as Nino and Siya are grounded until Cheya comes back home. And about Cheya's punishment, we will think about it when she returns," Mom said.

Well, now there is no going back or space for argument here.

Once my parents left us alone, Mile burst into laughter, observing our sulking faces.

"Gosh, that was good. And omg, I didn't expect Cheya to blame you, sisi." He said this in between his laughing sessions.
"Yeahh.... Well, then, I guess you should take up her punishment from me. What say Nini?" I said it with a smug smile on my face.

"Your right, sisi."

"Oh no, no. Sisi no, I'm your brother, the youngest one in the family. You shouldn't bully your own brother" he said while back away from us as we took a few steps forward.

"1... 2...3.. ATTACK!!!" I yelled right after, Nino and I steered, chasing him all around the house.
