*Keefe POV*
"Hey, Sophie," I walk over to her, wringing my hands nervously.
"Keefe! I'm so sorry, I stepped over a line and-" she runs over.
"No," I interrupt sharply, "I should be the one apologizing. I'm sorry I snapped at you, you didn't deserve that. I expected you not to care, but you do. It's just hard for me to open up to peopl-"
"Stop! I messed up. I always asked to many questions. It's not my business."
"Foster, it's okay," I say, trying to reassure her.
"No, it's not, I did it to Tam and Linh, and now you too..." Sophie hangs her head in shame.
"Foster, it's fine," I lift her chin up so that she's looking me in the eyes. "You didn't know, you were just trying to be friendly. It's okay."
"No, it's not. I shouldn't have asked."
"No, it's just... nobody's ever cared."
"What? You have friends that care, Keefe. But if you don't open up to them, they can't help you, even if they want to! You have Fitz, Biana, Dex, Marella, Linh, and even Tam, and even though you might not see it they will love and support you no matter what!" she exclaims, wrapping me in a hug.
"Do I have you?" I whisper, looking down at her.
"You will always have me."
