Andy woke up about two hours later, feeling much more sober than she did before. Robert had Luna for the night, they'd switch off after next shift, so she quickly placed an order for a uber before quietly making her way downstairs to hear Luna and Robert playing in her room, giving Andy the perfect opportunity to slip out without either of them noticing. She knew Robert would text her later, just to make sure she was okay and wonder why she left without saying anything. She'd tell him it was because of Luna, that she didn't want her to see her in case she threw a fit, wanting to go home with her or wonder why she isn't staying... It wasn't the full truth, but half of it nonetheless.
It felt weird, going home without Luna. It felt weird in general to go back to their old house. It's like she forgot how to live there, she considered Robert's house home, even if she was only here for a short while, it didn't matter, the two most important people in her life were there, it was home to her.
When she walked in the front door, seeing Luna's toys scattered around made it all sink in a little more. She kept thinking about how stupid she was to believe they could actually make a relationship work between them. After the aid car accident, everything happened so fast that she didn't even have time to really process what was happening.
She was so blinded by happiness that she didn't think it through.
Now not only was it hard on her, it was hard on Luna... And that hurt so much worse.
Andy tried so hard ever since Luna was born to keep her happy, never wanting her to feel even the slightest bit of hurt. Now, it was unrealistic to think she could shield her from everything, she was bound to be hurt by something at some point, but even then Andy tried everything in her power to make it better, to make her little girl feel better.
And now, this was out of her control. Her little girl was hurting there was nothing she could do to make it better.
She could feel the rate of her breathing increase, knowing she was working herself up. That wasn't going to do her any good, so she tried to calm down, then made her way to the bathroom to take a hot shower, wanting to wash away everything.

"Mommy doesn't cut it like that..." Luna said as she stared skeptically at the sandwich Robert had just placed in front of her. He'd cut it diagonally from the corners, and she wasn't having any of it.
"Baby, it tastes the same, peanut butter and jelly, just like you said." Robert said quietly, he was a bit frazzled by everything. He'd never done this by himself before. Sure he knew he'd have to do it at some point, and he was learning everything he could about being a dad as quickly as he could, but he also thought him and Andy wouldn't end so abruptly.
"You promise?" She asked, picking it up cautiously, almost like she was studying it. "It's peanut butter and jelly, you promise?"
"I promise," Robert nodded, watching her lift up half and being it to her mouth, taking a small bite, chewing it slowly.
"It's just peanut butter and jelly." Luna smiled through a mouthful, making Robert chuckle lightly.
"See, I told you."

"I have... Water, because I'm hungover, but I'm here so that's good enough!" Vic called as she walked in the front door of Andy's house.
Andy walked down the hallway, wrapped in only a towel, using another one to dry her hair. She looked at Vic as she made herself at home on the couch in the living room, nothing but confusion on her face.
"Really shouldn't leave your front door unlocked, dangerous." Vic said, noticing how confused her friend looked. "Anyways, where's the little munchkin?"
"Rob- Sullivan's..." Andy answered, turning back and walking back down the hall to her bathroom.
Vic got up and followed her, knowing exactly what she came here to do, and knowing exactly how the conversation would go. Andy didn't open up, if she did it took a lot to get it out of her.
If anyone was going to get this information out of Andy, Vic was sure it was going to be Maya, but seeing as to how they were on the outs right now, Vic was the only other option.
"You can't even call him by his first name, wow."
"No one else on the team does." Andy replied, closing the door to her room, leaving Vic leaning against the outside of it.
"Yeah, well no one else on the team has a kid with him, so I mean we don't really have the right." Vic pointed out, raising her voice a bit to make sure she was heard behind the door.
Andy swung the door open, causing Vic to stumble back a bit before regaining her balance. She was now fully clothed and glaring at Vic. "Okay so we have a kid together, people make mistakes..."
The second the word came out of her mouth she realized how bad it sounded. By that and the look on Vic's face.
"I don't mean it like that, Luna isn't a mistake by any means, unexpected sure, but not a mistake." She quickly reiterated. "I meant that sleeping with him in the first place was a mistake and then doing it was yet another mistake."
"Ah, so the sex wasn't good?" Vic asked in an attempt to lighten the mood, which wasn't working judging by the daggers she was being sent. "Oh come on Herrera, lighten up."
Andy just turned around and walked away, her plan to get as far away from Vic as possible wasn't working. She just followed, not to mention you can't really run away from someone in your own house.
"You know it's pretty easy to hate the person you love, right?" Vic said, making Andy stop right in her tracks and turn around to face her.
"I don't-"
"Oh but you do," Vic cut her off with a knowing smile. "You're in love with Sullivan so what he did hurt that much more."
"Was this the only reason you came over?" Andy asked, suddenly getting extra defensive.
"Yes and No," Vic shrugged. "Yes because I just wanted you to admit you're in love and no because you're upset and need someone. Maya sure as hell isn't going to be that someone, you won't let her, so here I am. Plus, I can see what it's doing to you that Luna's not here, you need a distraction."
"Have kids they said, you'll always want a break from them they said..." Andy said quietly. "Damn it, now not only do I miss her, but now I miss Robert... And I shouldn't even miss him!"
"Andy..."
"And how can you hate the person you love, and love the person you so badly want to hate?" Andy asked, now frustrated beyond belief, basically just spiraling at this point. "Not to mention I just admitted I love him to you... So keep your mouth shut."
"My lips are sealed." Vic said, silently celebrating the fact that her plan had worked.
