THE NEW YEAR party was crazy, it was amazing even though all we did was drink basically.
i let my body fall onto my mattress as i close my eyes, my head was spinning and i still could taste the alcohol in my mouth. my makeup was smudged by now, mostly because i've been kissing louis every five minutes but hey, can you blame him?
i let out a long breath that i didn't know i was holding in, the night passed by quickly, i don't even remember the count down part. i just know that it's now two am and i can't sleep.
a small and quiet knock was plastered on my door, making my eyes grow open. i groaned while getting up and managing to not fall.
i opened the door, revealing a not-so-sober louis standing in front of me. his shirt was half unbottomed, he looks like he hasn't sleep in a week and he had his usual messy hair but today it had a extra special messy on. i smiled, he was supposed to look bad but looked hot- someone explain please???
"you look awful." i laughed, trying my best to not snore like i did last time i laughed. i am glad to say i am apart of the afraid-to-laugh club.
"on the usual or just right now?" he blinked, slightly smiling down at me. "do you really want me to answer that?" i raised my eyebrow, maintaining my laugh in.
"honestly, i'd rather be run over by a car." he smiled, gently nudging my shoulder. "i am proud to say i was the one riding it." i innocently smiled, batting my eyelashes as he pretended to be shocked.
"take my hand and let me take you somewhere." he insisted, reaching out for my hand and leading me out of my bedroom.
we tried to not make any sound but i couldn't maintain my laugh inside as we made our way to i don't even know where.
"shut up!" he yelled-whisper, shoving me in a wall while letting out small laughs. i stopped as he did, leaning in to kiss him.
he pulled away and looked further in my eyes- a look i couldn't quite figure out, as if he was trying to understand me, like a puzzle.
he took my hand in his again and lead me to this dark room. "lou the lights!" i muttered, trying to figure out where he was standing. "only if you go out with me." he expressed, letting go my hand. "alright! fine! just get the goddamn lights!" i claimed, moving my arms around and hitting his chest by accident.
once the lights were on, i directly recognized where i was, the same room we had been a few days ago. where he told me all about his favorite books.
i felt a cold breeze of wind brush my hair, i looked from where it came and the window was open. as i reached to close the window, louis gently wrapped his hand around my hand, stopping me from it.
"why can't i close the window?" i asked in confusion, watching him click his tongue. "because we're going to the roof, obviously."
i looked at him and couldn't help but laugh, there was no way i will climb up that roof.
β’β’β’
"hold my ankle!" i yelled-whispered to louis who was trying to help me climb up. after tons of kisses and hugs i finally said yes, and here we are, trying to climb up a roof at three am.
"i am holding your damn ankle!" he yelled back, squeezing my ankle a bit. i rolled my eyes and managed to get up that roof, i pushed myself far away from the edge and waited for louis to climb.
not so long after, his head came out of the window and he crawled next to me. getting up and helping me too.
we walked a bit, always careful to not fall. his roof was straigh, so falling wasn't really an issue.
we were quiet and it was dark, but i could notice some blankets laying down a few meters from us.
i smiled, tugging on louis sleeve. "what's that?" i excitedly asked, watching the boy laugh and look down. "that darling, is our date." he replied.
i quickly let go his hand and walked to where the comfy blankets and pillows were. it was like we were kids again, building a fort.
i sat in one of the blankets that was expanded over the ground, somehow, louis made it feel comfier. the ground didn't feel so hard like it felt when i was up.
"lou sit!" i demanded him, he laughed and sat next to me, pulling out an extra blanket and wrapping it over the both of us.
he layed down, our heads hitting the soft pillows that felt like clouds.
the sky looked full tonight, a bunch of stars laying around living their own star life.
"you know, i saw sparks when i first meet you." he blurted out, making me blink twice. "you did what?" i laughed, looking up at him, he was clearly embarrassed since he looked away the second my eyes meet his. "i mean isn't that a romantic thing?" he giggled, looking up at the sky. "i guess it it." i smiled, but deeply knowing that i saw sparks too when i first meet him.
i looked up at him, the boy who i as now laying on his chest while he stroke my hair, i had completely flipped for him. i couldn't help but smile, he looked down at me, slightly raising one eyebrow. "what? why are you looking at me like that?" he questioned, moving his head a bit away to examine mine. "just memories." i said, not taking my eyes off his dazzling ones. he didn't hesitate to kiss me, this kiss felt special, just like the first time i kissed him, but different, because it felt real this time.
he pulled away, kissing my lips on elast time before sitting up and searching for something next to him, i sat up aswell and watched him take a book out.
"a book? at three am?" i laughed, trying to read the cover but i couldn't because my vision was too blurry. "not just any book." he smirked, putting the book down. "our book." he smiled.
"sit." he continued, patting his lap, i did as he said and crawled to his back, laying my head on his chest as he opened the book.
"Find Me, the book you picked, remember?."
i couldn't help but smile, he remembered.
"of course i remember lou." "here then, read it." he implied, handing me the book and opening the first page. "lou.. i can't read, i'm drunk." i said, my lips forming a thin line. i earned a small laugher from him and he flipped the first page.
"why so glum?" he began to read, stroking my hair with his long cold fingers.
and everything from there became a blur, i just remember listening to him read to me a few pages while my eyes slowly started to close. and after a bit, darkness, the only thing i could remember was the last thing he said to me.
"i love you, forever."
