After the tweet about sapnap's girlfirend and everything that got trending there were a lot of people trying to figure out who the mysterious girl was. A lot of their guesses were pointed at alyssa. There were also some that thought it could be tina or sylvee, two of his close girl friends. Some even went through his highschool and collage pictures, trying to find someone he was close with. they found some girl named nina.
Nick saw those asumptions and called alyssa the day after he left ohio. The two talked about the situation and decited that it's best to figure stuff out in person. They booked alyssa a flight for october 13th. She was gonna come to florida and the two were gonna wait and see if things calm down. If they don't, they are gonna have to say something. Anything. Not because of them, but because a lot of girls that the 'fans' assumed were his girlfriend were getting a bunch of hate and even death threaths.

»hi« alyssa wrapped her hands aroung nick »hi« his muffled voice was heard as his face was burried in her neck. Clay had just drove her back to their house because they don't want anyone to see them in public together. The news are still new and alyssa saw a bunch of fans walking around the airport, one even recognized her but she told them that she was visiting her grandma. They just had to hope that they belived her.

»are you doing okay?« she stroked his hair, his head still burried in her neck. He nodded and pulled away. »are you? did you get a lot of hate?« alyssa shook her head no »no, it wasn't that bad... i got like one death threat and a few other ones. Don't worry it's nothing that i haven't had before« she sent him a sad smile. Clay, who was watching this binged in »that's sad, honestly. Im sorry« he walked to her and hugged her. she gladly hugged him back and responded »you kinda have to get used to it when you're a woman in this industry« when they pulled away clay was the one with a sad smile on his face. Not even a smile anymore.

»hi telly« another, british voice spoke. It was george. He came to florida ten days ago. »hi« she smiled and gave him a big hug »god, it's so nice to meet you« she added with a smile.
»yeah. It would've been nicer if it wasn't in this circumstances« he said as the two seperated. She only nodded with a sad smile on her face.

»c'mon let's get your stuff upstairs, yeah?« nick put a hand on alyssa's back and she nodded. He took her suitcase and they walked upstairs, to nicks room.

The first three days went by quickly. The internet was still the same. Even worse, actually. Than another two days went by. The three friends had an amazing time together but the things on the internet weren't dying down. And on the next day it didn't look that they were gonna die down any time soon.

»okay so this is not going anywhere« nick said as the four of them were sitting behind the kitchen table. He had his phone in his hand and twitter opened on it.
»yeah i think you two should figure this shit out on your own« clay sent both of them a bit of a sarcastic smile, both him and george stood up and walked upstairs.
»alright. So, what do we do?« alyssa asked and leaned forward.
»im gonna tell the truth« nick said. When he saw a conserned look on alyssa's face he worded it better »im gonna tweet that i have a girfriend but i won't tell them who it is« alyssa nodded.
»yeah i don't think we should go public already« nick agreed with his girlfriend. She scooted closer to him and they, together, put together a good tweet.

Alyssa stayed in florida for another week after that. Her and nick had an empty house from 21st to 25th since clay went to his sisters wedding and stayed with his family for a bit longer, and george went back to the uk to bring back all of his stuff. They mostly just sang as loud as they could and dance around the house. Sure, they made out a few times but they enjoyed each others company in every way they could.

They knew that they weren't gonna be able to see eachother soon. At least not for a long time. they both had a lot of things planned and they didn't have a whole week off until new year.

As for twitter, it didn't die down very quickly but eventually, people stopped talking about it so much. They focused on the dteam meet up more. There was still a few tweets now and than, questioning who it might be but at least there wasn't any more death theats. Nick got a few messeges from those girls, thanking him that he said something and he felt better about speaking up, seeing that he made some lifes a bit better again.
Telly and sapnap even stopped getting shipped so much. Some ship accounts turned 'platonic' and said that 'they respect sapnap' and 'don't want to make the girlfriend uncomftrable'. If only the knew. The other accounts either didn't care about the girlfriend or they thought that telly was the girlfriend.

After george and clay got back home later on the 25th and on the 26th, they spent the whole day together. The four of them ordered lunch, watched movies and streamed. They didn't stream irl, even though it was now possible since dream face revealed. They streamed so it didn't look like alyssa was with them. she was in the living room, while everyone alse was in their rooms. The group streamed on their multiplayer server and fixed up everything since george decited to go on an destroying trip while they were offline a couple of days ago.

The stream ended up being three hours long. When they ended alyssa went to finish up packing and the other three took some pictures togethere to feed their fans so they'll hopefuly forget out the 'girlfriend' thing. they were all done by 7pm so they decited to go take a walk on the beach. There was a big concert and a festival happening on the other side of florida so they knew that there was a smaller chance of them getting noticed. Even knowing that, they but on their face masks, hoping that they would make things better.

»are you sure you have to leave tomorrow?« nick asked as he held alyssa's hand. They were walking down to the beach with clay and george behind them. »it's almost two months already« he added.
»i know, nick. I'd love to stay but you know that i have a meeting for some brand deal« she drew a star on his hand with her thumb. He only nodded and looked down. »i'll visit soon, i promise.« she comforted him and leaned onto his shoulder. »you better« he joked and both od them chuckled.

The other two cought up to them and they went to get a few drinks from the bar next to the beach. They didn't stay long. They were home before midnight and went to bed shortly after since they were all gonna have breakfast together and take alyssa to the airport at 1pm.

And so they did.

alyssa was back in her house at 2.45pm. she texted nick that she came home safe and that she'll call him after her meeting. She showered and changed into more comfy clothes. She turned on her computer and joined the meeting at 3.30pm. her and the co-menager of the new skincare company talked about how working with telly would have a good and quick effect on the company. They, of course, payed her good money for her to first try out the products and than promote them in a few of her vlogs. After she heard about everything that was in the cleansers and creams she agreed. They were all very pleased and said that they'll send her the products immediately. It's safe to say that everything went great.

The next morning alyssa woke up to a notification she didn't expect to see. It wasn't bad, she wasn't mad. She was actually happy. Sapnap tweeted
