You stood under the awning of the motel waiting for Connor to walk out. Hank gets off the phone. "You, stay in the car." Hank tells Connor. "I think it's best if I go with the two of you. " Connor assures him. "Listen I'm tired of you talkin' back to me. You're a machine, so shut the fuck up and do what I say!" "All I want is to accomplish my mission. I'm sorry if that upsets you. " Connor states. "Want to see the end of your mission? Stop--"  You step between them. "Hank. Cool it. Connor, keep close to me and try not to get in Hank's way."You mutter. "Of course you'd keep him close." Hank mutters. You sigh and blush slightly. "There it is again." Connor says. "Huh?" You ask, turning around to face him. He places a hand on your forehead again. "You're still warm-- Y/n are you sure you're not sick?" Connor asks. You were going to answer but then a question crosses your mind. "Connor... are you worried about me?" You ask.

Software instability.

"No. I don't feel worry." Connor says plainly. "Then why is your LED yellow and blinking." You ask. Connor pulls back, ignoring your question. Hank smirks as you move beside him. "You like the kid don't ya--" "I'm not having 'ooohhh he's soooo dreamy' talk with you Hank." You mumble. Hank stifles a laugh as you walk to the door. You draw your gun and motion for them to stay quiet. You open the door and the room looks untouched. Hank checks the bathroom and sighs. "It's gone." Hank sighs. "Shit." You groan. You look at your watch and see the time. "Chicken feed?" You ask. "Let's go." Hank sighs walking out. "Chicken feed? Is that some sort of code?" Connor asks. You chuckle slightly.

Software instability

"Nope. It's a place." You tell him.

-later-

You later stood in front of the Chicken Feed, a place held dear to you and Hank. "Hank! Y/n! How you doing?" The employee asks. "Eh you know. Same old shit." Hank grumbles. "Plastic with ya?" He asks. "Only temporary." Hank replies. "He's not too happy about the situation." You sigh. "Yeah. And your too happy." Hank says. "What's that supposed to mean?" You ask. "You seem a bit 'googly eyed' everytime the plastic boy speaks. Y/n He's a android, not a person." Hank whispers, aware Connor was probably listening. "Hank, I'm not googly eyed. He has his moments but I'm well aware of what he is. Although...."you mumble. "Oh don't give me that shit again." Hank groans. "You just have to meet one Hank! You don't get it! All of the Deviants you've met are dead or captured." You explain. "I don't care Y/n, Connor is temporary. I'm telling you this because I know you're becoming attached." He says. "....You know you keep acting like your my dad." You mumble. "Someone's got to." Hank says. ".....should I call you dad orrrr--" "call me dad and I'll shoot your leg." Hank says. Connor walks up to the two of you and stands between you. Hank groans. "What's your problem? Don't you ever do as you're told?" Hank asks. "Look you don't have to follow us around like a poodle." Hank says. "Cool it." You sigh. "Connor you're fine. Hank, ease up a little. At least try to get along." You tell them. Connor looks away and stares vacantly at a ketchup bottle. "I'm sorry for my behavior back at the police station. I didn't mean to be unpleasant." He apologizes. "Oh wow. You've even got a brown-nosing apologizing program! Guys at CyberLife thought of everything huh?" Hank mumbles. You roll your eyes and the employee hands you your food. "Thanks Gary." You mumble. You turn and realize just how close Connor was. Once again your blush creeps back onto your face. "Y/n---" "I'm fine Connor, you don't need to check my temperature." You mumble. "Actually I was going to say that the food you two are consuming isn't good for you. " Connor says. "Then let it kill me." You say plainly. "You are my partner Y/n, I wouldn't let any harm befall you." Connor says softly. "......You must be killer with the ladies with that line." Hank mumbles as you take a sip of coke. You cough. "haNK!" You wheeze causing Hank to laugh. "I'm just sayin'! " Hank laughs as you hide your face in your hands. "Is Y/n alright?" Connor asks. "Oh she's just dandy." Hank tells him. You finally start to eat when Connor speaks. "Is there anything you'd like to know about me?" Connor asks. "Hell no! Well actually. Why did they make you look so goofy and give you that weird voice?"Hank asks. "Hank!" You sigh. "CyberLife androids are designed to work harmoniously with humans. Both my appearance and voice were specifically designed to facilitate my integration." Connor explains. "Well they fucked u--" "Hank!" You groan. "I do have one question." You tell him. Connor turns his glance to you. "...Why are your eyes so bronze?" You ask.

"I mean, they're really pretty but they're so vibrant."You explain. "That would be because CyberLife built me this way, the eyes vary depending on which model is which." Connor says. "So you could be built as a different model, look exactly the same, but have different eye colors?" You ask. Connor nods. "Interesting." You mumble looking at Connor. "Oh, one more thing." You realize. "Yes?" Connor asks. "Where do you go once work is done?" You ask. "The police station" Connor says. "But you don't sleep." You observe. "Neither do you." Hank jokes. "Ha. ha."You laugh dryly.  "I go into my database and do system checks. They can take up to hours but I usually finish around the time you come into work." Connor tells you.

"Huh. Has anything been wrong with your system?" You ask. Connor gives you a look of observant confusion. "In a way." He says. "Explain." You say wiping your hands as you finish eating. "Well it mainly happens with you." He says. Hank chokes on his drink and you turn red. "W-what?" You ask. "Anytime you do something out of the ordinary my system has a instability. Which it's becoming more frequent." Connor explains. "I take it back, that's a killer line with the ladies." Hank mumbles. "Aha. I'm uh... I'm going home." You mumble. "Did I make you uncomfortable?" He asks. "No! I just would like to... check my email. At home."You lie. "Alright. Have a nice day."Connor says as you throw your trash away.

Connor and Hank stand there. "Connor do you like Y/n?" Hank asks. "Romantically?" Connor asks. "Yes." Hank says. "No. I am not programmed to feel things." Connor says. "I dunno. Maybe Y/n is on to something about you androids. You claim you keep having 'software instability' issues because of her. Is it possible you're goin' deviant?" Hank asks. Connor looks at the table and finally asks a question. "What did you mean by 'you must be killer with the ladies'? Are you assuming I kill women?" Connor asks. Hank laughs at his ignorance. "No its a saying. Do you know what a 'line' is?" Hank asks. "A straight trajectory that can--" "nope. It's a phrase to 'Woo' women. A type of flirting." Hank explains. "Oh. So that's what you meant. You assumed I was flirting with Y/n." Connor says. "I think you were but it was unintentional." Hank says.

Connor looks at the ground, deep in thought. "I do like Y/n as a person though." Connor says. "I think most people do." Hank says.
