CRASH!
The glass bottle shattered against Y/N's hand, blood splattering onto the cold pavement.
For a second, silence.
Then—movement.
Ga-min struck first, his fist driving into the nearest delinquent's gut, making him double over. Y/N followed immediately, twisting another attacker's wrist and slamming her elbow into his face, sending him staggering back.
A thug swung a pipe at Ga-min's head. He ducked, grabbed the attacker's wrist, and flipped him over, the metal clanging against the ground.
Two rushed at Y/N from both sides. She spun on her heel, dodging one punch, then kicked off the wall to gain momentum—sending a sharp kick straight into the other's chest. He flew backward, groaning.
Ga-min dodged a wild punch, grabbing the delinquent by the collar and slamming him into a pile of crates. Another came at him with a roundhouse kick—he blocked with his forearm, then retaliated with a brutal knee to the ribs.
A thug tried to grab Y/N from behind. She twisted, breaking free, then drove her fist into his jaw, following up with a quick leg sweep. He hit the ground, dazed.
Ga-min turned just in time to see a knife glint in the dim light. A delinquent lunged at him—Y/N intercepted, grabbing the attacker's wrist and driving it down onto her knee, forcing him to drop the weapon.
Ga-min's fists clenched, ready to react—but then he froze.
Y/N swiftly knocked the thug out with a sharp kick.
The remaining delinquents hesitated, looking between the two fighters. Then, fear took over.
They ran.
Ga-min, still slightly wide-eyed, looked at Y/N. His gaze flickered to her bleeding hand, his brows furrowing in concern.
Ga min:"You..."
He paused, still processing what he just saw.
Ga min: "You can fight?"
Y/N, wiping her bloody hand against her sleeve, smirked.
y/n: "What gave it away?"
Ga-min blinked, looking between her and the unconscious thugs scattered on the ground.
Ga min: "You—just now—" He gestured vaguely. "You took down, like, three guys on your own."
Y/N rolled her eyes. "Four."
Ga-min's lips parted slightly, still stunned.
Ga min:"Why didn't you ever tell me?"
Y/N glanced at him.
y/n: "You never asked."
Ga-min scoffed, exhaling sharply before reaching into his pocket. He pulled out a handkerchief and, without a word, gently took her wrist, wrapping it carefully. His grip was light, almost hesitant.
Y/N raised an eyebrow. "It's fine."
Ga-min didn't respond—he just focused on tying the cloth securely, his usual carefree expression replaced with something unreadable.
Finally, he mumbled, almost to himself,
Ga min: "You really are something else..."
Y/N smirked. "Took you this long to figure that out?"
Ga-min looked up at her, his lips twitching slightly—but behind his usual playful expression, there was something new in his gaze.
Something like admiration.
Pi Han-wool leaned against the desk, scrolling through his phone lazily—until a notification popped up. A video. His expression hardened as he clicked on it.
The screen showed Y/N and Ga-min fighting together. Han-wool narrowed his eyes. "What the hell?"
Min-hwa, casually snacking beside him, peeked at the screen.
Min hwa:"Oh? They look pretty—" His words stopped as the fight escalated.
The moment the glass bottle shattered against Y/N's wrist, Han-wool sat up straight, fists clenching. Blood splattered.
"What the—" Min-hwa muttered, his usual chill demeanor breaking for a split second. He knew Y/N was strong, but seeing her actually hurt made something twist in his chest.
Han-wool slammed his phone down.
Pi han wool: "Why didn't she call me?" His voice was dangerously low.
Min-hwa swallowed. He wanted to say something, but he didn't. He didn't tell Han-wool about how he felt about Y/N. He didn't even fully admit it to himself yet.
Instead, he kept his usual carefree tone.
Min hwa: "She handled it well, though. You should be proud."
Han-wool shot him a sharp look.
Pi han wool: "Proud? She's bleeding, Min-hwa."
Min-hwa chuckled lightly, but inside, he wasn't laughing. He watched the video again, his fingers tightening around the phone.
Ga-min had been there. Protecting her.
For the first time, Min-hwa felt something unfamiliar. Jealousy.
he warehouse was dimly lit, the air thick with tension. Min-hwa cracked his knuckles, his usually laid-back demeanor nowhere to be seen. His eyes locked onto the thug who had thrown the glass bottle—the one who had nearly cracked Ms. Lee's skull but ended up hurting Y/N instead.
The guy was already backing up, fear creeping into his expression.
"I-I am s-sorry, it was an accident—"
Min-hwa didn't wait.
A sharp punch to the gut. The thug gasped, staggering back, but Min-hwa grabbed him by the collar and slammed him against the wall.
"An accident?" Min-hwa's voice was low, almost amused—but his eyes were cold.
Min hwa: "You think that makes it better?"
The thug whimpered, but Min-hwa wasn't done. A second punch, this time to the jaw, sent him crumpling to the ground.
Min-hwa rolled his shoulders.
Min hwa:"it wasn't Y/N, it would've been Ms. Lee, right?" He crouched, gripping the guy's collar again.
Min hwa:"You're just unlucky it ended up being someone I actually care about."
A heavy silence followed.
Meanwhile, Pi Han-wool wasn't as calm.
He stood across from Hyun-woo, his expression dark, eyes burning with anger.
Pi han wool: "You were supposed to scare Ms. Lee, not turn this into a damn bloodbath."
Hyun-woo scared.
hyun woo: "You're the o-one who gave the o-order."
Y/N, who had just arrived, froze at the words. Her eyes flickered between them.
Han-wool turned his head slightly, realizing his mistake—but instead of backing down, he doubled down.
Pi han wool:"Exactly. I said it in front of her." His voice was dangerously low. "That doesn't mean you were supposed to take it literally."
Han-wool stepped forward, his fists clenched. But before things could escalate—
y/n:"Enough."
Y/N's voice cut through the tension. She looked between them, her injured wrist still wrapped in a cloth. Her gaze lingered on her brother before she exhaled sharply.
y/n:"This isn't over,"
she muttered, walking past them.
Min-hwa, still standing over the beaten thug, watched her leave. His grip on the guy's collar loosened, and with one final shove, he let go.
Something had shifted tonight.
And Min-hwa wasn't sure he liked it.
