"Umm, guys? Something's beeping on the computer!" Mo said, running into the kitchen where everyone was making battle plans. Zane shot up from his seat, and followed the young man into the bridge. Nya went up to follow them, but Jay gripped her shoulder, shaking his head. Nya was about to protest, until she saw Maya, her eyes full of worry.

"Hey, it's probably nothing." Nya said, placing her hand on hers, and Maya gave a shaky smile. Nya realized that she was a lot like Jay, putting a brave face in front of the villains but terrified when her guard was down. She promised to try and fix that, as a friend, as well as a mother.

Zane and Mo came running back, holding a variety of weapons.

"There was a large crack in the earth that suddenly formed, clearly unnatural. We think it's Cole."

Jay grabbed his weapon. "What are we waiting for? Let's go!"

"Jay, I believe that it is in our best interest if some of us stay back." Pixal said, standing up. "I am very concerned for Maya, and a battle will not help her. She is very stressed, and when that is mixed with electricity一"

"I'll be fine." Maya butted in, and she grabbed a sword. "We don't have Kai or Keith, and we need to save Cole; I'm going."

"Maya, I do not advise this course of action. I'm sure Zane can agree." Pixel countered, and Zane gave a nod.

"I have to agree with Pixal on this one."

"But一"

"Guys," Jay exclaimed, "Maya is Nya's daughter. If she's half as stubborn as Nya, she's going with our persimmon or not. If she wants to come, she's coming." Maya nodded in agreeance.

Lloyd sighed. "Ok, fine. Keep an eye on her, we all know that Nindroids are never wrong."

"Hey, while we're all chitchatting Nadakhan is probably running!" Mo shouted, and immediately everyone grabbed their weapons and left for the crater, Zane contacting Kai and Keith along the way.

We are going to retrieve Cole, I sent you his suspected location. Help us as soon as you can! We may have to fight Nadakhan and his crew!

Meanwhile, Kai had found Keith beside a rice field, outside of Jamanakai, watching the workers farm.

Kai parked his vehicle, and jumped out, stroling up beside his future son. Kai bit his lip, and tried to read Keith's face. He couldn't. It was expressionless.

"I take it you learned about what happened between your mother and I?" Kai asked, and all of the response he got from his son was a nod. Kai sighed, and sat down, hoping that Keith would follow. He did.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking. We should be focused on finding Cole right now, not some stupid realtionship issues!"

"It's not stupid." Keith said, turning to his father. " Do you realize that if you and Mom don't get together, I'll die? You need to fix this, or the future will be written with me not in it! And, I'm very proud of holding the top Fist-to-Face 10 high score, proud of being a Ninja, and especially proud of the fact I'm going to be a big brother!"

Kai made a fist, but forced it into the ground. He had forgotten that Skylor was pregnant when Kai had died in the future. He was so, so stupid! If he didn't save his relationship with Skylor, Keith would lose everything, and Kai was too blinded by his own feelings to see how it was a bad thing.

Keith seemed to notice Kai's anger, and left his side for a second, but Kai didn't notice. Eventually, when he got back, Keith handed him a sword.

"You taught me that instead of letting my anger boil under the surface, that you should pick up a sword, and fight anyone who's brave enough to face you. Care to live that out?"

Kai smiled, and got up, swinging the sword.

"Oh, yea."

And they fought, Kai was a bit sloppy and first, but once the anger went away, he found that he was really enjoying himself. With every attack he would give to Keith, his son would dodge, and every swing Keith took at him, he would effortlessly move away. They were equally matched. Fire versus Fire. Father versus son.

Once the two became tired, Keith flopped on the grass, laughing. Kai sat down beside him, giving a slight chuckle.

"That was so fun..." Kaith breathed out, and Kai nodded, but couldn't help but notice the grim expression that came onto his son's face.

"Okay, now what's wrong?"

Keith bit his lip, sitting up. " When I go back, I won't be able to do this with you. Because you're dead. I let you die."

Kai put a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I would never blame you for that."

"But, now my mom and my little sister are going to be alone."

"They won't be alone. They've got you."

At this, Keith looked into his eyes, "But, I'm not you. I'm not the legendary Ninja of Fire. I could never take your place."

"Are you kidding? That sword fighting back there had me worried that I was going to lose! You're amazing, Keith, I know it, and you know it. You and I, we're pretty cocky. Don't tell me that you're becoming self conscious over my death, because I won't allow it."

Keith let out a huff, and a dramatic roll of his eyes. "You, cocky? I don't see it."

"One time, I tried on the Green Ninja suit, I was 100 percent sure it was me. Me! I thought I was the Green Ninja! Boy, did the team like laughing about that."

"You would look horrible in green."

Kai nodded with a smile. "I know."

Just then, their communications went off, and both checked the text. Once they saw it, they both, without words, ran to the vehicle and hopped in. Pulling on their Ninja masks, both shared a look. Could this be it? Could this be the fight that takes down Nadakhan?
