After Shota's introduction to UA, the class had nothing but normal studies. Izuku sighed, getting annoyed without anything new to learn. Eventually, he pulled out his notebook, analysing some hero stories he had read before he sat down.

That was until he heard a way too loud shout.

"I am here! Walking through the door like a regular person."

Yelping, Izuku jumped back, falling out of his chair. Hitoshi jumped up, coming to Izuku's side as Midnight burst out of nowhere. "Who dare scare my darling Izu?!" All Might looked around in confusion, unable to get away as Midnight continued to scream at him. "You're a pro-hero. You should know when to shout and when to use your indoor voice. Here's a tip: When you're indoors, you should use your indoor voice."

"I'm fine, Aunt Kayama. Screaming is only making it worse." He chuckled softly as Hitoshi continued to glare at All Might.

Midnight turned, her expression softening. "I'm sorry Izu. Are you okay? Should I get Nezu?" She pulled Izuku up as he huffed a little.

All Might walked closer, holding up a hand. "Sorry, young boy. I didn't mean to scare you."

"It's all right, All Might. So long as I don't see fire, we're good. Are you teaching us? What exactly is your Quirk. Are you good at teaching? Have you ever taught before? Will we get to see you fight? Can you share some real-" Izuku let out a scream as Midnight chopped at his head, a move she had learnt from Emiko. "That hurt." Hitoshi laughed for a moment before returning to glaring at All Might.

"You were getting over excited again," Midnight explained before she dusted herself off. "Call us if you need us." She left, giving All Might a final warning look before she left.

All Might stepped back, coughing as he tried to recover. "All right, let's begin. Before we can start, you must be dressed as a hero." He pointed to the wall as he pressed a button, and our costume boxes came out. While the class was gasping, Izuku grabbed his box and disappeared to get changed.

~~~
The class walked out into the arena, seeing a wide spread of colours and styles. Izuku was wearing a green, short-sleeved tracksuit that went to his neck with white stripes going down the sides and a white belt around his waist. He had a mouth guard with white teeth around his jaw that hid a mic and earpiece that connected to a speaker in his belt. Lastly, he had white bandages going down around his arms and hands.
The style was a lot simpler than some previous designs. It had taken a while to get the support class to stop adding tech he didn't need.
Hitoshi had a costume inspired by a ninja; it was a completely black, long-sleeved suit covering all of the skin on his arms and legs. He had a hood which was pulled up over his head and a mask covering his mouth. Similarly to Izuku, he had a microphone hidden in the mask and a speaker that connected to a secret communication system. He had a belt full of capturing devices and white fabric wrapped around his neck, which was almost identical to Shota's capture gear.
"Hey, Toshi. Your costume is so cool. I see you're taking after your dad."
"He is not my dad! He's just my mentor."
"And your legal guardian, who you just so happen to be basing your costume on."
"I'm only doing that because he's the first person who believed in me."
"Oi. I believed in you." I gave Hitoshi a fake, annoyed look as he tried to think of a retort, not finding it in time before Uraraka walked up in a pink space suit.
"Wow, Midoriya-kun, Shinso-kun. You have really cool costumes, but are you sure you want the bandages? It sort of looks like you just came out of a hostile." She figured with her fingers as she spoke, clearly unsure whether she should voice her concerns.
"I'm sure, Uraraka-san. It is so that people know that even if I'm injured, I will continue and never give up. That's why I'm Deku. It means not giving up." Izuku grinned, while Hitoshi had a less positive reaction.
"Mine are not bandages."
"Nope. He's just taking after his dad."
"He's not my dad!"
Uraraka looked confused for a moment. "Wait, are you talking about Aizawa-sensei? Is he your dad?"
"He is not my dad."
"He is," Izuku interjected as Hitoshi gave him an angry look. "He absolutely loves his dad and has based his hero costume on him."
Hitoshi opened and closed his mouth, searching for a response that would stick when Uraraka smiled. "Wow, that's pretty cool. I wish I had been more specific. Mine's a bit skin tight."
Izuku was about to question her when All Might began to talk. "Now, we will do hero vs. villain training. You will be put in teams of two. As you have seen, villain fights take place in open city areas, hence the ground form entrance exam. However, you have to take it because this time, you are not fighting robots, and you must keep damage to the lowest."
Before he could continue, the class began hounding him with questions.
All Might stepped back, clearing his throat. "The teams will be drawn via lottery; you can't hurt the other too much, but don't worry, I will interfere if it gets dangerous; as for the rules, you have to capture the villains by defeating them, or you can just retrieve the device. You will also be given time to plan, but beware, for the heroes have a disadvantage. They have a time limit to get the device, or they lose; the villain has to protect it. Finally, for the expulsion, don't fear it; there is no such thing in my class; that's just cruel. Now, are you ready?"
While the rest of the class cheered Izuku was not happy. "How dare you. Uncle Shota only expels people who get in the way in a fight and who have no potential. How dare you insult his method. He's been teaching her longer than you could ever hope fro and he has taught many amazing students into being incredible heroes which will-" he was cut off when Uraraka stepped between them.
"Deku-kun, stop it. I'm sure he didn't mean to insult Aizawa-sensei, right?"
Hitoshi booed. "It was just getting interesting."
All Might tried to regain his composure. "Yes, I apologise. I didn't mean to offend you-" he stopped when he saw the glare coming from Izuku and the unimpressed look Hitoshi was giving him. "I didn't mean to offend Aizawa. I am sure he is a great teacher."
While still not happy with the poor ass apology, Izuku stood down, giving All Might a humm. "I no longer like you."
All Might quickly moved on. "Right, so the teams are going to be," and thus he began to pull out the teams.
~~~

"So, Uraraka, what's your Quirk?" Izuku smiled, already having a good idea about her Quirk from the entrance exam.

"Well, it's called Zero Gravity. It allows me to manipulate gravity on anything I touch. However, I get really nauseous if I overuse it. What about you? What is your Quirk?"

"It's called Mythology. To briefly summarise, it allows me to shapeshift into one of four forms. Each form has its own unique set of abilities that I can then use, like the Griffin, which allows me to fly and control air. It's really interesting actually that while I got this Quirk from my father, who could only shapeshift into a single form, I appear to be able to control these four, and my sister believes I might have other forms I could control given enough time, which would then add new abilities I could control- I'm rambling again, aren't I?" Izuku shut himself off, chuckling nervously.

"No, it's alright. You have a really powerful Quirk." She smiled happily as Izuku began to sway happily.

"So, it's been a while since I've seen Kacchan, but he'll probably go after me, which means Iida will be preparing for your arrival." Izuku stopped dead in his tracks, a wide grin on his face. "I have an idea. How much hand-to-hand combat do you know?"

~~~
All Might announced the start, and almost immediately, Katsuki charged off to find Izuku.
"You can't leave, we haven't even thought up a plan," Iida complained as Katsuki gave him an annoyed look.
"You stay here and guard that. I'm going to find Deku and challenge him. Simple."
Before Iida could respond, Katsuki was gone. Katsuki tried to stay focused, and he really did, but it was not easy. He knew Izuku would be a hero, but he never thought he would be at UA, even though he didn't even know what the guy's Quirk was.
When he tried to think about what he knew about Izuku, it would start to burn. He could remember the fire and the chaos, the screams of panic and the wires.
He ignored those thoughts. He always did. He was fine. Izuku was fine.
Jumping out, Katsuki punched at Izuku, only for him to dodge and roll away. Katsuki began with a right hook, which Izuku dodged under. He grabbed KAtsuki's arm, throwing him over his shoulder before running away.
Katsuki sirked. Izuku was fine.
Their fight continued. Izuku kept dodging, landing a hit and then running away. Katsuki saw a flash on his gauntlet, which made him stop. "You know, Deku. These gauntlets aren't just for show. They've been storing up my sweat for one big blast."
Before he could fire, All Might began to shout. "Bakugo, stop it; that will kill him."
"It's fine. If I know Deku, he will have no problem dodging." Katsuki began to pull the pin. It would be fine. Because he was fine. The recoil was larger than he was expecting, aching across his arm and shoulder.
Before Katsuki could even find out what happened, All Might's voice came back. "Hero team wins! I'm sorry I didn't see you there." The comment sounded funny, especially with the little context Katsuki had. It must have meant Uraraka got to the weapon without him noticing.
Katsuki tutted. "Guess we'll have to," he stopped, finally seeing Izuku, but it wasn't Izuku. The fake costume had been burnt off, revealing Uraraka's pink one, and the wig had fallen from her head. "You? What the fuck. Where is Deku?"
Katsuki stepped away, trying to breathe when he heard the scream. He didn't need to see the owner of the voice to know who it belonged to.
"Deku!"
He was not fine.
