You and Chisato Nishikigi have been friends for as long as you can remember. You've always enjoyed spending time together, and her constant presence has become a comforting routine in your life. Chisato is known for her affectionate nature, but you've always seen it as her way of expressing friendship rather than anything romantic.

One sunny afternoon, the two of you are walking home from school together. Chisato is chattering away excitedly about the latest book she's been reading, occasionally stealing glances at you with a soft smile on her face. You chuckle at her enthusiasm, finding her adorable but never thinking much about it.

As you approach a park, you pause for a moment and turn to Chisato. "Hey, Chisato," you begin, a mischievous twinkle in your eyes. "Guess what happened today."

Her eyes light up with curiosity. "What is it, Mc? Did something interesting happen?" She turned her full attention towards you, her heart pounding in her chest. She hoped whatever you were about to say involved her somehow, as selfish as it might sound.

You can't help but laugh at her eagerness. "Well, actually, a girl confessed to me," you say, trying to keep a straight face. "Isn't it cute?"

Chisato's smile falters for a split second before she regains her composure. "Oh... That's great, Mc! I'm happy for you," she replies, forcing a cheerful tone.

You notice the change in her expression and tilt your head slightly. "Hey, why the sudden serious face?" you ask, genuinely concerned.

Chisato puffs her cheeks out and furrows her brows. "You're only supposed to be with me and only think I'm cute," she says, her jealousy evident.

Caught off guard by her words, you chuckle nervously, not fully comprehending her feelings. You pat her head gently, thinking it would ease the tension. But Chisato surprises you by taking your hand off her head and gripping it tightly.

"When will you notice that I like you, Mc? I've been constantly showing it to you," she complains, her voice a mixture of frustration and vulnerability.

You stare at her, a mixture of surprise and realization dawning on your face. "Chisato... I thought all this time that we were just really close friends," you admit, feeling a bead of sweat forming on your forehead.

She furrows her brows even deeper, pouting in disbelief. "Oh, so kissing your cheeks is friendly?" she retorts, her voice laced with a hint of hurt and somehow, a bit of anger.

Your mind races as you try to comprehend the implications of her words. You search for an explanation, stumbling over your words. "I-I don't know—I mean, some of my friends do that too—" you begin, but before you can finish, Chisato cuts you off, her voice rising in volume.

"What?!"
