She looked him in the eyes, hers unwavering in their intention. They seemed to plead with him for the truth.

"Do you love me?" she whispered.

He thickly swallowed the lumped in his throat. His eyes dodged her piercing stare. He felt it way down deep in his soul. This question had a wrong answer and he searched his soul for the right one.

"Loving you is like having air to breathe," he exhaled and lifted his gaze from his feet to her glossy eyes. "Without you... without you, I can't."
