SHONA is a bantu language spoken in Zimbabwe.

It has mutually intelligible languages called: Ndau, Karanga, Manyika, Korekore, Zezuru,.

It is believed to have been born from Tjikalanga, particularly Chikaranga. And it and it's native speakers share close relations with the Swahili, Kalanga, Venda, Nambya, Tonga etc.

And has some similarities with other Bantu languages like Zulu, Chewa, Xhosa, Kirundi, Kinyarwanda even though they aren't mutually intelligible.

It even has some similarities to Asian and Arabic & Hebrew languages.

Shona people and speakers can be found in Southern Africa; Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Zambia, South Africa etc. and all over the world too due to migration😌

It's a tonal language, but it tells you what the tone is through the way it's written e.g. ma -> maa -> mha -> mhaa😚
