Hayden Solokov was an experiment. Born to Hydra scientist parents she had been subjected to trial after trial until she finally got what they wanted. Powers from the gem inside of Loki's scepter let her see inside any machine. She was Hydra's secret weapon. Until the Avengers came to raid Strucker's base, of course.
