"It is time for the bhat kapor ceremony. Let's go to Jhinuk." Jhinuk's mother in law said

(bhat kapor is a Bengali post wedding ritual where the husband takes responsibility of his wife's food and clothing)

"Yes mamoni!" Jhinuk replied with a smile and came downstairs

She can not disrespect her mother in law at any cost when she has not done anything to be disrespected.

The smile on her face vanished when she saw her oh so dear husband.

He was standing there waiting for the ceremony to start.

"take this and give it to Jhinuk and say that from today onwards you are taking her responsibility." his mother said to Somudro

"Mamoni can I ask you something?" Jhinuk asked

"Yes!" her mother in law replied

"Why does he need to take my responsibility? I am capable enough to take my responsibility. I can take his responsibility as well." Jhinuk said and her mother in law smiled hearing that

"OK I am ready for it if you want to take my responsibility." Somudro said and Jhinuk glared at him

She thought his arrogant ass will not be able to digest this thing and he will react but something else is only happening here.

"Yes Jhinuk you are absolutely right. You will do the ritual as well." Her mother in law said and At last they both took each other's responsibility

The whole day passed like that only with Relatives talking to the new bride and giving her gifts and her taking blessings from elders. In between she talked to her parents and Riya as well who congratulated her and asked her to give this relationship a chance.

In the evening she was dolled up for her reception. She was not looking any less than a fairy.

In her pastel pink colour lehenga she was slaying her look as a newly wedded woman.

Somudro was not looking bad as well in his white and pastel pink combined suit.

Jhinuk tried her best to stay away from Somudro as much as she could. But how can the star couple of the evening stay away from each other for long?

Everyone asked them to dance on a romantic song and they danced on Ang laga de.

It was a little prank played by his cousins. They told them before only that they have to dance on whatever song they play.

Jhinuk was uncomfortable with him dancing and then this song both made it impossible for her to even breathe properly.

She prayed mentally to God to make the dance over soon. She was prepared to push Somudro away if he dared to take advantage of her in this state and thankfully he did not take advantage of her in any way.

He danced with her normally and decently.

After the dance he took his cousins' class for pulling the prank on them.

Jhinuk talked with her parents and a few tears trickled down from her eyes finally. She was accepting that she has left her home and is now staying somewhere else.

The party came to an end and it was time for the most awaited and dreaded part of the couple…..

The wedding night…

Both of them are nervous about this but Jhinuk has some other plans for the night.
She was dressed in a plain saree as still few rituals were left.

After everything was done she sighed in relief and sat on the bed. Thankfully there were no rose petals on the bed.

Somudro locked the door and came near her but she just gave him a look.

"I dare you to come near me, Somudro Sanyal. If I see you taking another step towards me then this hair pin will be dug inside your body. It is very sharp so yeah." Jhinuk said calmly but inside she was not calm at all

She does not trust him at all after whatever he did to her.

Somudro can read her like an open book and he knows she is not at all calm and composed like the way she is portraying.

With a slight smirk on his face he walked towards her making her panic but she stood still.

He placed his watch on the bedside table and backed away making Jhinuk sigh inwardly but she did not miss the amused smirk on his face.

She wanted to hit him on his face but chose against it because her surprise was still left…

She laid down on her side and waited for him to lay on his side. No, she was not going to kick him out of his own bed.

Several minutes passed but she did not hear anything from him.

She turned around to check and found him sleeping on his side.

She frowned seeing that and got up thinking how can he sleep like this? Why is he not reacting?

She got up and slowly went towards his side. She tried her best to not make any kind of noise so he will not get alert.

"How is this possible? Is he not feeling cold? How can he sleep or is he just pretending?" Jhinuk thought and decided to test him

She swung her hands in front of his face a few times and found him really sleeping.

She tried to touch the area of the bed he was sleeping when suddenly he opened his eyes and pulled her on him making her yelp in shock.

"What are you doing my dear wife? Trying to take advantage of your poor sleeping husband? Not a good dear wife, not good at all." Somudro said wrapping his hands on her waist making her lay flat on him

Their bodies were touching each other completely, making Jhinuk feel all the things she never felt.

" Leave me! I was just…. "Jhinuk said and stopped in middle as she does not know what to say

She can not say that she was checking how he was sleeping.

" You were just what? "Somudro asked with an amused look

" Why should I tell you? "Jhinuk asked and wiggled to get out of his hold

" If you do not want something to poke you then I will suggest you to not wiggle. "Somudro said and Jhinuk immediately stopped understanding what he meant and unknowingly her cheeks tinted red

" You are so shameless! Leave me. "Jhinuk said

" Not before you say what you were doing. Or maybe I know, you were checking that how can I sleep on the wet mattress right? When you poured water on my side of bed with your own hands. "Somudro said and Jhinuk's eyes widen

" How do you know? "She could not help but ask

" Magic! I can sleep on the wet mattress for you. Not a big deal for me! The mattress is still wet if you are thinking I dried it. I did not do anything. You keep trying to irritate me but I will not get irritated. "Somudro said and left her

She got up immediately and said

" Sleep on that side. I just wanted to irritate you. I do not want you to fall sick or have a back ache. I will take the couch. You sleep on the bed. "

She was about to take her pillow and sleep on the couch when Somudro stopped her

"When we hate someone we do not care about them at all. You care for me, that means you do not hate me! And about sleeping you sleep here on the bed i will go and sleep on the couch. It can be expanded so yeah I will not have any problems sleeping there. "Somudro said with a smile and Jhinuk rolled her eyes at him

That night Somudro had a very good sleep even when he was not sleeping on his bed but the same can not be said for Jhinuk who was lost in her own thoughts but fell asleep as she was exhausted.
