You two approached the gem that was currently facing her back towards the both of you, "Spinel? Come on we can talk this out." Steven said, Spinel still facing the both of you spoke up in a soft tone but still had some sharpness with it "I don't want to play anymore."

Steven covered his eyes with his hands getting frustrated at the previous statement the gem just made "Spinel, This isn't a game!" He yelled clearly tired and irked.

But without warning she harshly punched him in the face, Steven stumbled back a few steps stunned at Spinels movement.

Your eyes widened with shock as you saw her about to make her second move and she took it, she went for another punch as you tried to stop it but since you didn't have access to your powers and the fact you were drained from previous events the impact was powerful enough to send both of you tumbling down the injector.

You both slid down to the edge of the injector making a halt before any of you could fall off, Steven realised that Spinels impact was enough to make him have a nosebleed and as for you, You now had a small light purple bruise located on the side of your eye, you touched it softly to avoid putting any pressure on it.

Two pink curly hands spiralled their ways to you two and clung to your arms. The two arms belonged to Spinel and she was now dangling you both over the edge of the injector, you both nervously looked down to see the now decayed town and how the injector completely destroyed beach city.

Your heart was practically pumping out of your chest due to the amount of fear that was building up in you, if she drops you two then...

It might be game over.

"You know I came here to take my anger out on a bunch of strangers, but now that I know you two.... I want to kill you even more." Spinel said in a bitter tone, she then slowly released her fingers on both arms loosening the grip she had on you two until finally, she was pinching the fabric of your fabrics.

You were now praying for both of your lives here, you don't know if you can save yourself or Steven this time with your powers constantly giving out, both of you letting out frustrated grunts you finally snapped, "We don't get it!" You yelled "Huh?" Questioned Spinel confused on your sudden outburst.

"Why aren't our powers back? Isn't me and Steven reliving every horrible thing that ever happened to us?!" You questioned annoyed but yet confused with yourself, "A gem we barely know is trying to kill us, we're paying for stuff our mums did that had nothing to do with us! We're struggling with our powers, and the world is about to end!" Steven hollered with tears pouring down his face.

"What piece could we be missing? You both questioned at the same time, you had an angered expression present on your face during the moment.

Spinel in reaction looked baffled but then snorts and lets out a nearly mocking cackle laughing at the vulnerable states of you two "Wow! I knew I was gonna set you two back, but this is how you two started? The legends Steven Universe and Y-N Wood?" She said as she continues laughing at the both of you "Y- you gotta be kidding me, how did a powerless loser like you two become saviour of the galaxy?!" She questioned the both of you.

That's when Realisation hit you both, Oh stars- how could you two be so blind?

"We changed, that's the final piece. All those struggles, we learned from them, and we grew. Oh my gosh. It's not just our gem powers we've forgotten. All this happily ever after stuff has made us forget the first power we've ever had..." He trailed off, "The power to change." You finished as you softly smiled at him, that was the final piece.

Steven and your gems started to glow as both of your powers slowly returned, Spinel looking absolutely peeved with you two drops the both of you but to her dismay you two stayed afloat in midair as Orange and Pink effects were present in front of you two.

Steven looked down to his gem and stars appeared in his eyes as he successfully summoned his shield, then another shield, then a huge bubble surrounding him which converted to different shapes and formats.

You on the other hand was successfully creating lasers around you and they disappeared in a flash, you also summoned your signature katana as you flipped it in your hand happy to feel the grip of it again and both of you at the same time let out a huge gust of wind that knocked Spinel on her back who shortly recovered looking at you two in complete shock.

You both safely landed yourselves back onto the injector feeling more powerful then ever, as both of you opened your eyes you gave a smirk ready for battle.

On beat Spinel was about to go punch Steven but he blocked it with his shield and leapt out of the way, you took your chance and blocked some of her punches as well with your katana easily parrying them and made a gust of wind with it that resulted pushing her back on the injector.

Making an annoyed grunt she formed into her own version of a spinning top and made her way towards you both, you swiftly dodged out of the way while she was coming towards you and landed on your legs behind Steven, he perfectly blocked all her incoming attacks with his shield and on her last Spin she remained in position spinning herself against Stevens shield which eventually made you two leap out of the way.

Steven [spoken]: Listen to me, Spinel!

She enlarged her fists charging herself towards you both, getting into position you both summoned two pink bubble boxing gloves (Steven) and two orange gauntlets (You). She swings her enlarged fists at you both and you both take turn in blocking her swings, her enragement further increased and she started to aggressively punch you both down.

You [spoken]: That's right!

Gritting her teeth and letting out a irritated growl, she clamped her hands around you both and span you two in several circles. With a final twist of a spin she then flings you both into the air, she then converts her legs into springs and sprang herself to your current positions (In the air).

"Just can it, won't ya?! You two can't make everything better by singing some stupid song!" Spinel screamed with a now coiled spring-mounted enlarged fist present in front of you both, with her final adjustment she released her fist on you both and slammed you both back onto the surface of the injector, Smoke puffed out due to forceful impact.

She finally descends from the sky and lands on her enlarged fist as she jumped off of it returning it to normal to see if she finally managed to get a hit on you both. But again to her dismay, there were you two protected by Stevens shield around the crater she created.

"All thats stuff is easy for you two to say, when you changed, you changed for the better, when I changed- I changed for the worst!" She screams as she lunges at you both again.

She delivered powerful blows to Stevens shield but it wasn't enough to dent it nor break it, "I used to not be good enough, just not good enough for Pink and Orange! But now, now, I'm not good at all!" She cries out as she delivers another powerful blow, only difference here is that this blow was powerful enough to fracture the entire surface of the already damaged injector.

You present behind Steven slowly look up to the now vulnerable and broken gem that's laughing frantically, collapsed on her knees as tears well up on the side of her eyes "S- so funny r- right?... At least you two found me entertaining. You two actually liked me, didn't you? What am I doing? Why do I want to hurt you two so bad? I'm supposed to be your friend... I just wanna be a friend..." Spinel weakly said.

You both felt great sympathy for the vulnerable gem, you put your hand on Stevens shoulder to indicate it's okay to let his guard down.

He closed his eyes sympathetically and put away his shield as it slowly shrank until it funny disappeared, A startled Spinel was now shown in front of you two. "Spinel..." Steven started but got interrupted as the injector begins to blow, all the sustained damage it gained was enough for it to explode.

You all nervously looked at each other just at the last moment of the explosion, with a quick flash, the injector exploded with all three of you involved in it.

Everyone that was in Little Homeworld watched in horror as they stood aghast at the sight of the terrifying explosion. "Steven, Y-N!?" Greg questioned worried, "Steven, Y-N!" The gem trio repeated with just as much concern as Greg, Chunks of glass and debris falls to the ground.

As the smoke created from the explosion slowly dissipated an orange hexagonal shield descends slowly towards the crater the injector caused.

It was you, Steven and Spinel! in your own personal shield you quickly formed before the explosion could hit you three, the shield flickers out of existence once you've landed the two safely onto the ground "Woah..." Steven said astonished at the damage, "Oh no, no, no, no, no, what did I do? I've wrecked everything!" Spinel said with panic laced in her voice.

You chuckle and shake your head "Well that's one way to get rid of your injector." You concluded looking at the huge crater around you three.

"But what about the poison? What about the planet? What about your happily ever after?" Spinel continued on still panicking, you and Steven looked at each other then to the panic-stricken gem "There's no such thing as 'happily ever after'." You both said with no remorse whats so ever, you both then looked into the distance pondering to yourselves "We'll always have more work to do." Steven stated still looking in the distance.

Spinel looked down guiltily, she genuinely regretted everything she did. Steven and you then looked back to Spinel with soft smiles, Steven extended his arm towards Spinel to help her up, she took his hand and he helped her up "I'm sorry." Spinel said to you two.

Connie's voice was then heard as she called out for the both of you "Steven? Y-N? Where are you two?" Connie yelled mounted on lion still searching for you two "Connie!" You both shouted relieved to see her "I'll be right back." Steven said as he ran over to Connie, you stayed put next to Spinel because you didn't want her to feel left out again.

While they were conversing with each other, Connie gave you a wave smiling at you and you returned the wave back also smiling at the girl. You all then heard a van horn in the background and it was revealed it belonged to the universe van, Everyone bursts out the van relieved to see Steven was okay but questioned where you were.

You made a loud cough to catch the attention of everyone, they craned their heads into your direction to see your smirking with arms crossed.

Everyone stayed silent for a few seconds and then yelled your name to see you were also okay. Amethyst excitedly ran over to you and gave you a massive hug, you chuckled returning the hug back to her, you two finally separated from each other laughing at each other "Oh yeah! I forgot to mention something Y-N! Ava came back just in time!" Amethyst said gratefully.

You gave the purple gem a confused look but someone tapped your shoulder from behind, you slowly craned your head towards the gesture to see Ava (Also formerly known as Orange Pearl and currently your tutor) was standing behind you with her fists on her hips.

She wore a proud smile looking at you, "I got back as soon as possible when I heard something bad was going on. But I've also seen the amount of destruction the injector caused..." She said looking at the crater, you awkwardly scratch your head "Heh, It's a long story. I'll explain what happened in shorter details." You responded.

While you were conversing with Amethyst and Ava, Greg finally got his arm restored back to normal thanks to Steven. Despite conversing with you and Ava, Amethyst saw the moment when Steven healed Gregs arm and still took her chance to make a joke "It would be cool if he could do that to the whole planet." She said jokingly, you actually took that joke into consideration.

"He could try, Hey Steven!" You shouted at him, he directed his attention from the group and then onto you as he made his way over "What's up?" He questioned now standing in front of you all, "Do you think you could maybe do your healing abilities on the earth?" You questioned curiously, Amethyst looked at you with a bored look "Dude, I was joking." She said directly aimed at you.

Steven then laid onto some part of the crater then kissed that spot. Nature flourished as it was restored to it's normal self within seconds "Looks like Amethyst joke actually works. But Y-N, don't forget you also have an ability to restore the destruction." Ava stated from behind "You mean my ability to reverse time? I could but- I don't think I can restore all the destruction the injector created." You responded uneasy.

"We could both restore it together?" Steven asked, Ava and you nodded your heads in approval, with your powers combined you two would be able to restore the damage in no time. Since you two were busy conversing with everyone else, you didn't realise Spinel left her spot and was walking away.

"Spinel wait!" You both shouted concerned as you both ran over to her "We really was going to come back." Steven said to reassure the gem, "I know." Spinel responded quietly but audible enough to hear "Then where are you going?" You questioned with a fist on your hip "I've got work to do. Friendship isn't going to be easy for me, I'm gonna have to work at it. You two want to make me try but- I've already messed up bad with you two. I wish I could just start from scratch with somebody." She said with a little hope

"Spinel, It's not ov-" you got interrupted as you heard the wind now whistling in your ears all of a sudden, a familiar ship appears as it casts a shadow over the crater.
