The doors to the concert flies open as lion jumps through, you two looked around for the pink gem but she was no where in sight.

Nanefua looked up to the two of you pausing her activity on the clip board, she said something to Steven but you were too busy looking around for you to hear her.

"Did you see a pink gem run by?" he asked her desperately, she pointed in the direction Spinel went in and he thanked her while the three of you were on the move again.

While Lion sprinted on top of the water, Steven was recollecting his memories from the morning "Just this morning, everything was perfect... why did everything have to change?" He asked himself but also asked you at the same time, you answered him with silence because even you didn't know the answer to that.

The hybrid looked back to you to check how you were doing, you still felt drained out and he could see this, you brought your attention from the twinkling sky to Steven "I'm sure we will get this sorted out eventually... but we need to hurry, time is ticking." You say to him, he looked from you nodding and adjusted back to his own view.

A piece of the decayed earth fell into the poisoned lake completely evaporating the minute it fell in, Lion eventually came to a stop looking at the cyan glow emitting from the conservatory.

"That might be her, let's get moving." you tell him as you both dismounted Lion, just before you were about to move Steven gave a command to the pink beast "Go find Connie, we need all hands on deck." Lion roared then leaped through the pink portal following the order from Steven.

"Make haste, Steven." You said as you walked past him, he quickly ran to your side shortly after.

As the both of you peeked in the conservatory, Steven called out to Spinel. Her back was faced to the both of you as she was kneeling on the warp pad "What's wrong?" You asked concerned, she lifted her head and then turned to the two of you with tears pouring down her face.

She let out a few whimpers and the two of you gasped shocked to see her like this, "I just started getting these feelings flooding back to me..." the gem said still unsure about what's going on, you two slowly approached her as Steven started to speak again "That's- That's good, We need you to remember... If you don't..." he trailed off.

"Then something really bad will happen to us and our home." You finished, Spinel looked around confused and scared, but her eyes shot open when Steven mentioned "Garden." It was like he struck some sort of memory in her.

"The garden...?" She said quietly but audible enough to hear, "Is anything coming back to you?" Steven asked trying to get somewhere with the situation, Spinel smiled but it shortly disappeared the minute it was present "No!" She slammed her fists to the warp pad and the three of you were being warped to somewhere. "Spinel? Where are we going?" You questioned the gem confused.

"Back, to where I never left."

The three of you finally made it to Spinels destination.

The Garden.

As you looked around, all you could see is lifeless plants and structures. Looks like it wasn't maintained during it's time but you shake those thoughts out your head as it wasn't relevant to the situation, Spinel gasped and took off into the distance "Spinel!" You both said following her, you couldn't lose her at a time like this.

You two finally caught up to her, she was admiring the Garden as her memories were slowly returning "This was our Garden, a special world built for Orange, Pink and I."

The lifeless Garden fazed to the past maintained Garden and Pink came into view looking for the two.

Orange and Spinel were hiding behind pillars silently snickering to themselves, Pink then lifted her arms into the air to indicate she surrenders and the two pop out from their hiding places jumping beside Pink laughing to themselves, Pink joined in shortly after.

"Despite Orange and Pink keeping each other company in homeworld, they would eventually split up and not see each other for a while. But in the Garden, the three of us would play for hours." Spinel said continuing on about their story.

Then, Three pink balls came into view, they were being juggled by Spinel while Orange and Pink were inspecting her juggling abilities. They clapped for her spectacular juggling skills but in secret, they looked at each other with a certain expression knowing these 'playdates' were not going to last forever, but they averted their attention back to Spinel shortly after "Everyday was so much fun."

"At least that's what I thought." She said looking down at the ground, you and Steven were listening very closely to Spinel eager to know more information about the past trio, "Did something happen?" Steven questioned her, Spinel brought her attention back to you two "Pink and Orange wanted a colony, more than anything. One day that wish came true."

The scene now appeared with Orange and Pink speaking to Blue and Yellow. Spinel was listening to the whole thing while they were speaking "Blue and Yellow gave Pink and Orange their own planet."

"Earth."

"I was so excited, a brand new place to play." She said looking at the hybrids, you didn't like where this was going, you had a feeling a huge plot twist was about to play, "So why didn't you go with them?" You questioned uneasy, Spinel closed her eyes and got ready to explain the whole mess.

(Insert Drift away)

Spinel: Here in the garden, let's play a game
We'll show you how it's done
Here in the garden, stand very still
This'll be so much fun
And then they smiled
That's what I'm after, a smile in their eyes
The sound of their laughter, happy to listen

...

Spinel: Happily waiting, all on my own
Under the endless sky, counting the seconds
Standing alone, as thousands of years go by
Happily wondering, night after night
Is this how it works?
Am I doing it right?
Happy to listen, happy to stay
Happily watching them drift away...

Spinel walked away and looked gloomily towards the dull water, you two followed after her so you didn't lose her.

Spinel: You keep on turning pages, for people who don't care
People who don't care, about you
And still it takes you ages, to see no-one there
See that no-one's there
Everyone's gone on without you

Spinel: Finally something, finally news
About how the story ends, they don't exist now
Survived by their kin, And all of their brand new friends...

Spinel finally transformed back to her true self, she turned her head towards the both of you with a betrayed look.

You just stood there stupefied about the whole mess, Steven looked at her with hope and decided to speak first "S-spinel, you've got your memories back. I can't believe they did that to you... actually I can totally believe it." You nodded your head at this.

"They weren't the only one they hurt-" the moment Steven tried to reach out for her, Spinel harshly turned around which made both of you fall on your backs, she towered over the both of you menacingly "Yea! You must know all their life without me! Rub it in why don't ya!" She yelled at the both of you betrayed and annoyed, Steven put an arm over your chest to try protect you.

He tried to summon his shield but failed miserably, "No! It's not like that! You deserve better friends." he said trying to convince her, she looked at you two while shutting her eyes, she then lifted her fist along with making a frustrated scream, you prepared for impact as you closed your eyes tight but...

The pain never came.

You slowly opened your eyes to see that Spinel had instead punched the decayed structure, you mentally thanked her because that would have hurt real bad if she punched you two.

Steven helped you up as you were still sitting on the ground, you thanked him and spoke out to the broken gem "Spinel, come back and save the earth with us. You can start fresh over there and make new friends." Spinel turned her head to the side with her eyes remaining shut.

You looked at the gem sympathetically, you wanted to make things right.

Taking a deep breath, you prepared your voice.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she finished, you two looked at her smiling softly.

"Spinel, me and Steven will be your new best friends. Forever and ever."
