Soon the giant mantis lunged at them and Steven jumped back with the elephant spirit showing his courage

Steven: is this the praying mantis spirit cursed?

Elephant: it looks like it

Steven: can't you do something?

Elephant spirit: not in this state, you must find where my body sleeps and use the crystal to bring me back

Soon the spirit turned into a mist of light and went to the mountain and Steven followed after. The mantis monster soon rose its head to look for its next target. Soon it spotted kestrel who was going to visit Steven and soon he saw it and the mantis went for the kill. Soon Steven made it to his destination and saw the elephant spirits tomb

Steven: okay elephant get in their!

Elephant spirit: I can only do that if you use the crystal

Steven: okay

Soon Steven got out his crystal and rose it to the spirit

Steven: spirit return to your body!

Soon the crystal began to glow as well as the elephant crystal and soon the spirit rose and charged at the tomb and soon the mountain began to glow. Suddenly it burst open to reveal the elephant spirits true form

Soon the elephant spirit climbed down and soon Steven got onto its trunk and the elephant charged to the mantis monster.

Meanwhile the mantis monster got kestrel with its tongue and was ready to gulp him down until it heard a loud trumpet, soon it saw the elephant spirit who was charging right at it with Steven on top of its head

Soon it charged at the mantis monster and let go of kestrel and Steven jumped and coughs him and landed safely on the ground. Soon Steven saw his animal spirit fight the giant mantis beast and knew he needed help

Soon Steven remembered what the elephant said in the spirit zone

"Think of the objective you wish to do, And focus on it"

Soon Steven slowly moved his hands like a king fu master and soon his hands glowed blue and soon he thrusted them at the mantis and the energy formed the elephant shape and charged at the beast and that helped the real elephant spirit and it used its trunk like a long whip and used it on the beast and soon the mantis monster began to glow and a shard came out and Steven knew he needed to heal it. Steven soon got out his tongue and licked the shard and soon it began to glow and formed a light green crystal with a praying mantis inside

Soon he noticed the mantis monster and it took the form of the mantis inside the crystal

Soon the mantis took the form of mist as well as the elephant and soon they both returned to their crystals and soon Steven had both crystals in each hand and saw the animal inside begin to rise from it both facing him

Mantis spirit: thank you for healing me young human

Steven: nice to meet you Mr. Mantis spirit

Elephant spirit: now we know how to heal the shards of the cursed spirits

Steven: well I guess i get to learn the mantis technique too huh?

Mantis spirit: I guess so, young child

Soon Steven knew he had to show the others and soon he went to the academy to show them before school started
