The sun rose over a beautiful valley, a lilac wood forest teaming with many forms of life, from the cure squirrels in the trees to the groundhogs in the ground. This was the home of the last unicorn, Amalthea

She was the most beautiful creature in the forest, with her skin as pale as sea foam to her flowing mane as blue as her single horn, her eyes were a dark ocean blue and she was proud to be herself. She was the wisest and oldest creature of the forest and gave my advice to the creatures of her wood. But sometimes she would look to the stars and think to herself. She thought of many things, but what she thought most of all was if there were other unicorns out there like her. Admittedly she felt lonely at times and longed for a companion, but unicorns usually live in only one forest in solitude. The next morning the thoughts of another unicorn stayed in her mind until, a small blue butterfly fluttered to her singing a tune to himself

Butterfly:🎶 Wave the flag for Hudson Highborn, show them how we stand!🎶

The butterfly fluttered a bit before coming to a stop to amaletha's face

Butterfly: I am a roving gambler; how do you do?

Amalthea: Hello, butterfly, welcome. Have you travelled very far?

BUTTERFLY: How far would I travel, yes sir! - to be where you are? Clay lies still, but blood's a-rover. Red Rover, Red Rover, let Charlie come over! Won't you come home, Bill Bailey, won't you come home? My wild Irish rose. (Embraces her horn.)

Amalthea: Be a little respectful, butterfly! Do you know who I am?

Butterfly: why of course! Your a Unicorn. Old French, "unicorne". Latin, "unicornis". Literally, one horned: "unus", one, and "cornu", a horn. A fabulous animal resembling a horse with one horn. Visible only to those who search and trust, and generally mistaken for a white mare

Amalthea: thank you, all your wanderings, have you seen other unicorns like me? Have you seen even one?

Butterfly: once my dear. About three moons ago I saw a flock of unicorns stampeding across a great plain, but this is in a world between worlds, you can find them when the moon is full and the sky is white and vast

Amalthea: but where? Where are the other unicorns? What do you mean?

Butterfly: follow these words of wisdom, follow the North Star and you'll find the others if you are brave

The butterfly then flapped away by the breeze

Butterfly: The king is in the counting house, counting out, counting out, counting... It's you or me, moth! Hand to hand to hand to hand to hand to hand... (He flies off.)

Amalthea: (thinking) of course he would exit like that, All butterflies know are songs and poetry and anything else they hear. I guess he means well

Later that night Amalthea thought to herself what the butterfly said about following the North Star to find the other unicorns

Amalthea: (voice only) Oh, I could never leave this forest. But I must know if I am the only unicorn left in the world. Suppose they are hiding together, somewhere far away? What if they're waiting for me, in need of my help?

Amalthea shook the thought off and came to one conclusion, she must follow the North Star to the other unicorns, if their were any out there. She reaches the edge of the forest, where all the animals of the wood are looking at her. She stares at them for a second, then turns and runs down the road leading away

Amalthea: (voice only) I must go now, I promise I'll return someday

She looked up to the night sky and saw the North Star in front of her, and the butterfly's words came to her mind

Memory: follow the North Star and you'll find the others if you are brave

After many days Amalthea stops to a small hill in front of a dense forest, she heard a low growl and bellow her stood a giant grizzly bear

She didn't hesitate to leave their as fast as she could, the bear meanwhile was fascinated by seeing a live unicorn after many years. Amalthea was tired of countless days of walking, she found a cozy spot in front of a huge lilac tree and decided to sleep hear tonight and continue by morning, so she laid down and went fast asleep

Suddenly a giant shadow came to the scene, its steps like thunder as it shook the ground with each step it took. But Amalthea was in a deep slumber as the giant beast looked over the creature knowing what she was doing

Amalthea was fast asleep thinking about finding more of her kind, but she heard a loud noise and woke up on the spot. But this wasn't the spot she was in before, it was a blanket of white with a few scattered trees. She got up and took a good look around the area and she heard a familiar sound. She went out of the scattered wood to find a small creek and decided to take a quick drink, but as she drank she saw ripples in it that didn't belong to her. She raised her head and to her amazement on the other side of the creek, stood a pair of unicorns just like her

Amalthea was amazed by the sight of other unicorns like herself and gave the first smile she made in over 500 years. She then looked around and saw a beautiful valley filled with creatures she had never seen before, one of many species in peaceful harmony with each other. She took a stroll down river and she saw above her a giant falcon and eagle soaring together, she then looked to the water and saw a giant white sperm whale and hammerhead shark breach and dive back into the water, but the crown jewel was seeing a large red lion roaring over this great valley

Amalthea: this is so wonderful! I've never felt so happy in all my life!

She looked to her left and saw a small hut made out of bamboo and wooden planks, she went inside and there was a group of animals having a lot of fun

Steven and his pals were having a bit of fun playing one of stevens games called "kitchen calamity"

Steven: ooh! Ya got freezer burnt jack! Looks like ya loose all your fish sticks

Jack: aww come on! I needed those for my bachelor meal combo! Now I can't ring the dinner bell

Sisu: my turn?

Zill: yep

Sisu rolls the dice and she picked up a card

Sisu: "the sponge in your sink is covered in mold"? What's that mean?

Steven: that means you loose two turns

Sisu: aww man

Zill: my turn

Zill then picked out a card

Zill: "I am now the owner of the golden can opener" yes!

Steven: now you can check your soups for the alphabet bonus

Jack: (gets out game rules) man, these rules make zero sense

Steven gets out a card for himself

Steven: (gasp) I gotta roll the dice to escape the egg quake

Steven gets the dice and shakes them with his hand

Steven: come on, pap needs a new skillet

He rolls the dice and then they land with two sunny side up eggs

Steven: yeah! Double sunny! I win!

Zill: nice one pal

Steven: thanks

Steven looked to the entrance and the others saw what he was looking at, to their amazement, then and there, they saw the most beautiful unicorn they ever seen

Steven was amazed by the sight and he came closer to the creature who backed two steps away

Steven: it's okay, we won't hurt you

To his amazement the unicorn listened to his words and came a few steps forward

Amalthea: what is your name young one?

Steven: Steven, and yours?

Amalthea: Amalthea, a pleasure to make your acquaintance

Steven: nice to meet you too

Amalthea: where exactly am I?

Steven: this is the spirit zone, this is where me and my friends hang out. Why you ask?

Amalthea: I came seeking out other unicorns like myself. It would seem I'm in the right place

Steven: yep, ya sure are. Ya want me to give you a tour?

Amalthea: it would be a pleasure

Steven then walked passed Amalthea and she followed behind, to see the many wonderful sights this land had to offer
