I looked around, starting to get shaken up, but smiling, hoping it would fill me with confidence, or make the feeling of loneliness and emptiness disappear. It did not. I sat down, on the spot that I decided was ground, which it was not. I started to meditate. Feeling it would be best to not leave the void until I stopped being scared of it, till I stopped letting my irrational paranoia keep me from doing what I want. Though staying here was hard. I wanted to just leave, and never come back here, but I couldn't just be scared of this void. This is apart of me, it will always be apart of me. As I am apart of it. I started to calm down a bit, my fear of this place slowly receding. I slowly stood up and got an idea. If time in here fluctuates, and if I can exist in any place, as anyone? What if I can exist in any moment? I gave it some thought, and decided to give it a try. To first see if it would work, I decided to try to go to the moment three seconds before I went into the void, so that I could verify with myself, that I went into the void and time traveled. I exist nowhere, and everywhere. I and nothing and everything. I exist in my house, by the door, and three twenty-seven p.m. before I went into the void. I opened my eye, and saw that I was in my house, but there was no other me, and time seemed to have flown normally. Meaning, I still had to somewhat adhere to the laws of time. 

     I decided to go check up on Steven. He was in the temple putting on his jacket.

Steven: "Oh, hey (Y/N). I, heard from the Diamonds that you were going through something. You okay?"

(Y/N): "Oh, just a little bit. I am still pretty much like, the best."

     I teleported behind him.

(Y/N): "So, what are you up to?"

Steven: "Oh, well, good to see you back to your old teleporting self. Anyway, Lapis and I were going to check out something about terraforming gems? Wanna join us?"

(Y/N): "I see. Well, sure, I would love to join, go out on a mission and get back into the swing of things."

Steven: "Yeah, okay, then let's head over to the barn."

(Y/N): "I'll race you!"

     I appeared by the barn.

(Y/N): "Sup Perry."

Peridot: "(Y/N)! What are you doing here?"

(Y/N): "Steven, Lapis, and I are gonna go on a mission, so I am waiting for mister slowpoke over there."

     I pointed into the distance where a beam of light suddenly appeared.

(Y/N): "I am getting much better at predicting things. I mean it's not full on future vision, but still makes me look like a boss."

Peridot: "Ah yes, I see."

     Lapis walked out of the barn to see us.

(Y/N): "Aye, it's the...... hold on I can come up with a cool nickname. Hmm, Lapigal? Nah that's lame as hell, Laziman? Nah, what's with my lame as hell super hero reject names? Oh, Lazarus. I know, not much of an original name, but I think it semi fits. What do you think?"

Lapis: "Why not just call me Lapis?"

(Y/N): "Well, I could, yes, if that is what you prefer, but sometimes nicknames can be fun. Isn't that right Perry?"

Peridot: "Yeah!"

(Y/N): "But if you prefer Lapis then...."

Steven: "(Y/N), you know teleporting is cheating in a race."

(Y/N): "Not when warp pads are a thing. Get with the time Steven. The future is now old man."

Lapis: "Steven is not old."

(Y/N): "It was a joke, but okay Lapis."

Steven: "Anyway, Lapis, are you ready to investigate the rumors?"

Lapis: "Yeah, let's go Steven."

Steven: "By the way, (Y/N) will be joining us."

Lapis: "Cool, hopefully they can keep up with us."

     I tilted my head down and looked at her.

(Y/N): "Me? Keep up with you? Oh poor Lapis. I am faster then speed. It's you, who will have to keep up with me."

     Steven sighed and shook his head.

Steven: "I still declare you are a cheater."

(Y/N): "Well, show me the rules."

     We laughed and made it to the pad.

Lapis: "Well, teleporter or not, you can't fly."

(Y/N): "Maybe I can, maybe I can't. There is no real way of knowing."

Steven: "We could push you off a cliff."

(Y/N): "Correction, you can Try, to push me off a cliff."

     We continued joking, and then warped to the planet.

Steven: "Okay, this shouldn't take too long. Most gems come around pretty quickly when I invite them to little homeschool in person."

(Y/N): "I have a feeling this won't go so easy. Let me try to make a before hand prediction, and don't worry, no future vision, I don't have that under control yet. So, we arrive, the gems show up, I am guessing, three gems. You invite them, they get confused, end up ignoring you outright, you throw a fit and throw down with them, and they come willingly after you show off your power. Bam, official prediction."

Steven: "I doubt that. I mean, we have Two Diamonds, and a Lapis. I don't think they would ignore us. Anyway, let's get going."

     We stepped off the pad and started walking.

Lapis: "Wow, such a beautiful planet."

     We stopped walking when we saw a weird flower thing on the ground. Steven bent down and poked it. Causing it to close up to reveal some sort of creature. Like a plant, mammal mix. it ran away to reveal more of them, Steven got closer and gently caressed the bulb.

Steven: "It's okay little guy."

     It started crawling over his arm.

Lapis: "Wow, Steven. It took you a whole five seconds to make a new friend. You're getting rusty. You know, I never used to notice creature like this, before Earth and you, I used to terraform planets without thinking twice. I wonder what I destroyed. Life like this is so precious."

     A trio of shadows raced across the ground with the brushing of bushes nearby.

Lapis: "Uh, Steven?"

     We walked to a cliff, to see a devastated landscape.

Steven: "Wow, so the rumors are true."

Lapis: "You think they didn't get your message that we're not destroying planets anymore?"

Steven: "I'm sure they did, everyone did. But I'll get them to stop."

Lapis: "This might be harder then you think."

     There was a race of blue as three Lapis Lazuli's were flying through the sky.

Steven: "There they are."

     They made some waves and cut a block of stone into quarters.

Steven: "Hey, stop!"

     The three Lapis Lazuli's turned to us and backed up a bit, while summoned a tsunami to crash down onto us. Steven summoned his shield, and I just teleported to a different block of land.

Lapis 1: "Wait a minute. That's Steven Universe, and (Y/N) (L/N)."

Lapis 2: "They're smaller than I thought."

Lapis 3: "And, softer."

     They flew down to Lapis and Steven.

Lapis 1: "Well, what do you think? Were almost done with this world."

Lapis 2: "And who's this, we don't need the extra help. You must have heard about our exemplary work."

Lapis 1: "That's why you're here I presume."

     Lapis 3 was about to speak when Steven interjected.

Steven: "Yeah, well, no. Look, empire is over."

Lapis 1: "We know."

Steven: "The Diamond's don't control you anymore."

Lapis 2: "That's right."

Steven: "So you don't have to terraform planets for them anymore. You're free to do whatever you like. Why don't you come on down to little homeschool where you can..."

Lapis 1: "Oh, I see. This is just a misunderstanding."

Lapis 2: "Terraforming is what we like."

Lapis: "Ugh, here we go."

Steven: "Okay, wait. You're free to do whatever you like... as long as it's not destroying a world."

Lapis 2: "That's not what you just said a second ago."

Lapis 1: "Why would we stop?"

Lapis: "Because it's wrong!"

Lapis 1: "Wait wait wait wait wait wait wait. How could the thing we've always done just suddenly be wrong? At the very least we've got to finish this world."

     I decided to mumble something, as a little joke only I would hear.

(Y/N): "Finish this world and I'll finish you."

     I got a surprised look from Lapis 3, who was staying at the back of the cliff. I saw the look, and shut up, feeling that if I said more, I would worsen the situation.

Lapis 1: "We're almost done!"

Steven: "Team huddle?"

Lapis: "Team huddle."

Steven: "One moment please."

     They ran into the bushes, as I teleported to the cliff they were on. I then turned to the trio of Lapis.

(Y/N): "Just so you know, that was supposed to be a joke, that you were not supposed to hear. I was not being serious."

Lapis 2: "What?"

     Lapis 3 blinked and then squinted at me. I can't tell if I made things better or worse. We sat there in silence for a bit as Steven and Lapis came back out from the bushes.

(Y/N): "Leaving me out of the team huddle? Typical."

Steven: "You could have joined at any point."

(Y/N): "I know."

Steven: "Anyway."

     He turned to the Lapis Lazulis.

Steven: "Hey, so, why don't we explore the many things you can do that don't involve destroying worlds."

Lapis 2: "Should we listen to him?"

Lapis 1: "He is half Diamond. Maybe we should half listen."

Steven: "I'll take that as a yes."

     They started to follow Steven as I felt something weird. There was someone else here. I let them go with Steven and stayed back looking around. When I was sure I was fairly alone, I stopped snooping and stood straight.

(Y/N): "Yo, buddy! Come on out! I know you're here!"

     No response. I looked down and shook my head, before disappearing and reappearing behind a tall, confused gem. She looked like an Agate of sorts, but she also looked like an Amethyst. She continued to look around the corner from her hiding spot. Trying to find where I went.

(Y/N): "I wonder where they went."

???: "Yeah, it's so weird how they, wait a minute!"

(Y/N): "I did say I knew you were here."

     She jumped back summoning a cutlass.

???: "I am here to accompany the Lapis Lazulis as they go around terraforming planets. While their busy, I take care of the small stuff."

(Y/N): "I see. So they move rocks, while you stab anything that moves."

???: "Yeah, and right now, you're moving."

(Y/N): "But also right now, my friends are talking to your friends. So how about you chill."

     She slowly stood up and put away her weapon.

???: "For now."

(Y/N): "Cool, I am going to chill up on the cliff while I wait, you can join me if you want."

     I teleported up to the cliff and sat down, laying against a tree. And then I heard a loud crash. The gem who had just arrived up here was suddenly on guard. I thought about the sound I heard, and then relaxed again, sitting on the tree.

(Y/N): "Don't worry about it, it was just some rocks."

???: "Oh yeah? How do you know?"

(Y/N): "Basic deduction based on sound. While we are here, why not tell me your name."

???: "I am Amazonite."

(Y/N): "Nice to meet you Amazonite. I am (Y/N)."

Amazonite: "You mean, the new Diamond that was announced?"

(Y/N): "Exactly, you get it."

Amazonite: "Then what are you doing here?"

(Y/N): "Accompanying my good friend Steven and Lapis. Oh god I hear singing. Why does everyone love singing. I personally, not a fan."

Amazonite: "I know right, close your mouth and swing your fists."

(Y/N): "Not what I was getting at, but ok."

     The gems made their way back to the cliff.

Lapis 2: "You really expect us to sing and dance like pearls? Forget it Steven Universe, you've already got a Lapis doing what you want. Look how dull it's made her. Was she always this pitiful."

     I got up.

Steven: "There's no need to be hurtful. We're just trying to...."

Lapis 2: "Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah. You've taken, enough of our time. Let's get back to it, shall we?"

     The three Lapis flew into the air, cutting more stones.

Lapis: "That's it, I've had enough of you three."

Steven: "Wait, we've agreed we wouldn't fight."

Lapis: "If we had done this my way, we would've been done from the start."

(Y/N): "I want in on this! Lapis, you take tweedle dee and tweedle dum, I will take the odd one out, and misses stabby over here!"

     Lapis nodded as Lapis 3 saw her friend over here, flying over.

(Y/N): "Just so that we don't interfere in each other's fights, let's go a little over here."

     I teleported to a different rock, that was alone surrounded by a flat field. Lapis 3 and Amazonite made their way over here. As Amazonite was starting to climb the rock pillar, Lapis 3 was flying straight toward me.

(Y/N): "Hmm, no, I don't think so, that's cheating, you have to make your way up here like your friend."

     I activated my aura, letting it stretch for miles. It didn't quite reach Steven and Lapis, but it was still far.

(Y/N): "I have been training. So let's have some fun."

Lapis 3: "Oh? Is the big bad Diamond a scared coward? What did you say earlier, weren't you going to finish us?"

(Y/N): "I told you that was a joke, but if you want me to get serious, I can get serious."

     I let my pride and confidence fill me, and I embraced it. I jumped from the pillar onto the ground, letting my aura recede. My gem glowed with a dark, purple flame around it. I summoned my scythe. Lapis 3 and Amazonite froze for a second before advancing. Lapis 3 summoned a lot of water spikes, while Amazonite took out her cutlass. I took a step forward when I felt a pain, an all too familiar pain. I looked down to see a hole in my chest. I let a new emotion fill me as I embraced it. Rage.

(Y/N): "What is with everyone, just making holes in my chest? What is it?! Some sort of target everyone sees!? Just a giant red circle that says 'impale me'!? Why the fuck does everyone make gaping god damn holes in my chest!?"

     I made my scythe disappear and I took out my battle axe. Flames surrounding it. My rage continued to flow. I didn't feel like doing that was enough. So, I made a mistake, or more accurately, two colossal mistakes. I over charged myself with energy and lightning, and then cloned myself. My mind was splitting in two, the knives in my brain only feeding my hate and fury. I entered a barbarian rage. I went nearly blind, no longer caring about color, or sight, or feeling. No longer caring or paying attention to where I was, or what position my limbs were. I simply was, and I had to slash.

Lapis 3: "What? They have a hole in their chest and they didn't dissipate?"

Amazonite: "I, I have a bad feeling about thi......"

     There was a giant pool of blood as I rushed at her, instantly cutting through her form, two gems falling to the ground, but I didn't stop there. The rock pillar, any minuscule thing that stood out, I slashed at. Lapis 3 barely kept up with both of my movements, both of my forms going on a violent, slashing, burning rage. Red puddles formed everywhere as with each step, my legs, chest, waist, muscles, and tendons just tore themselves apart, and vaguely repaired just enough for me to still stand, still run, still slash. My eye had turned blood red, my teeth cracking and shattering. And then, the only thing that stood out, was a floating, blue blob. So, I went for it. Lapis 3 flew higher, but I jumped up to match her height, overshooting horribly, but I managed to barely nick her on my way up, knocking her back and down, though I was still slashing at the very air I passed as I fell to the ground. I went to slash at the blob again, and kind of succeeded, when both of me suddenly stopped. The one without a hole in their chest had disappeared, my mind finally stopped it's rage, as blood just poured from my mouth and chest. A screaming pain flowed through me, as my entire body was twisted, cracked, crushed, torn, and more. I would have screamed if my vocal cords weren't torn from my constant barbarian shouts. With my weapon, my clone, my confidence, and control gone, I was now on the ground, a mess of twisted limbs and little blood.

          ~~~ Steven POV ~~~

     As Lapis finished her battle, we heard the shouting quiet down. I was too concerned with Lapis to pay attention at first, so since everything was done here, I looked over to see if (Y/N) was doing okay, and instantly I was horrified. Nearly puking at the sight. They were on the ground, limbs twisting in ways that shouldn't be possible, blood around them, and the color drained from their skin. Lapis looked over at them and gasped.

Lapis: "That, that doesn't look like a healthy form for a human."

Steven: "No! No it's not, they're very much hurt I need to try to heal them now!"

     I rushed over to them and tried to give them some healing spit, but it barely worked. I picked them up and rushed over to the warp pad, Silent Lapis going over to Lapis, Freckle Lapis, and other Lapis. I warped to homeworld, knowing a human doctor wouldn't know how to help them. I rushed into the Diamond throne room, which was mostly empty except for White, Yellow and Blue being there.

Steven: "(Y/N) needs help right now!"

     The Diamonds looked over and saw (Y/N). They gasped and ran over.

Blue: "Yellow, this looks worse then the time they....."

Yellow: "I know, but why would they push themselves like that. They should have learned their lesson the first time."

     I was confused to what they were talking about but they still helped me rush them to a medical room of sorts.

Steven: "You've seen them like this before?"

Yellow: "Yes, we have but only once. They decided to try to use a new technique to avoid teleporting. Overclocking their body with energy to become faster and stronger. And it worked, but it came with a horrible price. The human body is too fragile, and the speeds and force they were using tore them apart. How did this happen?"

Steven: "We were just on a mission, some gems were still destroying some planets and didn't want to stop. So we decided on a more forceful approach. Two different battles both a one against two. Lapis against two other Lapis Lazulis, and (Y/N) against a Lapis and what looked like a fusion."

Yellow: "Such easy opponents shouldn't have pushed them so far. Why did they feel it was important enough to go so far?"
