~~~ Time Skip ~~~

     The Diamonds and I were in the arena, White was watching from the sidelines, not partaking in the spar. I had my scythe out as the Diamonds looked down on me. Yellow made the first move with a dash, getting close so that her lightning aura is most effective. I jumped out of the way before the attack, but before I could counter I was hit with a blue laser. I got up and went straight for Blue, that's when Yellow kicked me away from her. Damn it, they're doing this on purpose. I won't be able to attack unless I teleport. I am not going back there. I clenched my fist, letting anger fill me, and I embraced it. I allowed heat to flow from me, lighting my body on fire, but it's not enough. The heat, it's not enough, I need it hotter, then hotter, and then even hotter still. The flames around me started to die down as crackling could be heard coming from me, black sparks appearing from my body, the energy and anger I feel, is fueling the lightning that is racing through my body. I didn't teleport, but I nearly disappeared, moving faster than most things could track. I went to Blue with a high speed high kick to her shin. It didn't do much, except push back her leg, bringing her to her knee, but I couldn't stop, I had to keep moving. I raced around the arena, until Yellow shouted.

Yellow: "Stop! The sparring is over!"

    Yellow's voice was filled with worry, fear, disgust, and disappointment. I stopped racing, my body shaking from the energy as I continued to crackle.

Blue: "Why, would you push yourself to such a point to avoid teleporting?"

(Y/N): "What do you mean?!"

Yellow: "What do I mean? What do I mean!? Just look around, your bleeding, everywhere! There's blood on the walls of the ring, on the floors, pouring from your face! Why, why would you do such a thing?"

     I looked down at my numb, energy filled body. My shoes were gone, my feet were swollen, one of my toes was bent too far, in the wrong directing. My face was dripping blood, like a leaky facet. I felt my face, I was bleeding from the nose, eyes, and mouth. I looked down, calming myself, letting the energy disperse. Feeling returned to my body as I was now in utter pain. Bones broken, organs torn, and more. I fell to my knees and screamed in pain. The Diamonds rushed over to me. I started to fall back into my old habits, of blacking out.

          ~~~ Time Skip ~~~
     I woke up in my old palace room. I was healing quickly. I sat up and started to walk to the door of the room, when it opened. Blue and Yellow were entering my room and saw that I was up.

Blue: "You shouldn't be out of bed so soon."

Yellow: "Really (Y/N)? Going to such drastic extremes to avoid your simple little trick? What has gotten into you?"

(Y/N): "It's nothing, I just want to stop relying on it, that's all."

Yellow: "Oh please, if you wanted to stop relying on your power, then why use it in a more drastic and dangerous extreme way?"

(Y/N): "It's nothi..."

Yellow: "It's not nothing! Just tell us already!"

(Y/N): "I can't go back there!  Not again! I just can't! Okay? I just, can't go back there. It was dark for so long, nobody could see me, talk to me. I couldn't do anything, I couldn't see or feel anything. I was fine for not existing for less than a second, it was nothing, I was in and out, and then I went in, and I couldn't get out, and I don't want that to happen, not again."

     I blurted out. I was breathing heavily, had a dry throat, tears were on the verge of flowing. Yellow and Blue were taken aback.

Blue: "Oh (Y/N), are you okay?"

Yellow: "When did this happen? How long was it?"

(Y/N): "......It was a few days ago. It was only for about maybe twelve or thirteen hours...... for everyone else. For me it was hours, then months, then full on decades, able to get glimpses of what was happen to everyone else, but I could only sit and watch, no one heard me, no one saw me, and then I was stuck in that blackness again, waiting for it to happen again. I know, decades are nothing compared to you gems, but for us humans, when we only have a little less than ten decades on average, it, it felt like forever. I don't want to get stuck again."

     Blue and Yellow looked at each other and knelt down.

Blue: "(Y/N), you could have told us. We may not understand how you feel exactly, but we are here for you."

Yellow: "Have you tried to teleport without going to the void?"

(Y/N): "I tried, but it shouldn't be possible, at least not in the way I want."

Yellow: "I see."

Blue: "Well, if you ever need or want any help, or just to talk. We are here."

Yellow: "Though this does bring up a slight dilemma. How did you get here so fast if you were far form any warp pad?"

(Y/N): "I simply, tried to teleport. And I did get here, in the end."

Blue: "I am so sorry. You shouldn't have had to do that."

Yellow: "Well, we can't just force you to teleport home, so it seems we should another dilemma that has come up. What should your ship be?"

Blue: "Oh of course."

(Y/N): "Oh, well, I never though about it, but I guess it would make sense. Well, we have the whole body, so would I be some sort of accessory? Such as a necklace, or a belt. Maybe a bracelet, or a hat. Or a cape!"

     Yellow face palmed.

Yellow: "That would be too difficult to create, such a thin ship? Absolutely not. Any accessory would be a pain to make as while it still could be fairly spacious for a human, such a ship would be too minuscule."

Blue: "What about a body of their own, a whole one, but maybe half to a third of the size of the whole of our ships. That way it would be a decent size while not being too small."

(Y/N): "Well, I am going to spend most of my time on earth, so on big question, where would I put it?  I can't just have a giant ship outside of my house."

Yellow: "Just like the Rubies. 'We want a small ship, the inside needs to fit all four of us, we can't possibly keep this form at light speeds.' It was a pain to install those features."

Blue: "You didn't install anything, it was those Peridots of yours."

Yellow: "Yes, well still, they took too long making that tech."

(Y/N): "Well, I guess I shouldn't be too picky, I mean, not a lot of people can say that they got a space ship as a gift from their royal relatives on another planet. Though to be honest, if anyone else, besides Steven, can say that, than I probably won't ever believe them."

Blue: "We will see what we can do, for now we can have a gem pilot escort you until then."

      I smiled.

(Y/N): "Thank you."

Blue: "Oh, I forgot, you still need to get into bed. You could still be injured."

(Y/N): "No, I am fine now. I can feel my body, and I am not in any pain, and if you want we can do a quick scan, but I am fine."

Yellow: "That was still a very foolish thing to do."

(Y/N): "Well, you were the one to inspire me to do it. I mean, you got electricity, you are fast, and a real power house. So I thought, what if I could accomplish something similar?"

Yellow: "Then why didn't you use your aura?"

(Y/N): "Well, I can use my aura to mimic or cancel others, but I definitely didn't have the control to use my aura to mimic your and let it lose inside my body without frying myself. So, I went another route. Something not as intense. Even though the results were quite, self harming, you gotta admit, it was effective."

    Blue and Yellow shook their heads.

          ~~~ Time Skip ~~~

     I walked through the front door of my home. It was slowly getting dark.

(M/N): "What happened? You were away for quite some time?"

(Y/N): "Oh it was just some meeting the Diamonds decided to call. It was nothing important, just wanted to check up and see if they could train my abilities."

(M/N): "Well your father said you left shouting about watching something, and cats?"

(Y/N): "For someone who has a doctorate it has to be impossible he has never heard of Schrodinger's cat right?"

(M/N): "Oh, I see. Yes, that was never really your father's strong suit. You did talk about your abilities dealing with existence making you a psychologists nightmare."

(Y/N): "I know right. 'If I cease to exist, and then exist once more, am I still me?' Or 'If one can still observe and think, despite not physically observing, then are they in some physical world of being? Or has their consciousness vacated their body to exist on a higher plane of existence.' or something like that."

(M/N): "So you admit it, you've thought about it."

(Y/N): "Well of course, one of the biggest questions people have are 'why do we exist?' so if I can escape existence, then does that mean that existence doesn't have a true meaning? Does it mean I have somehow reached enlightenment? Or maybe it means something else, or even nothing to do with the existence of other's at all."

(M/N): "This, this is why we played classical music while you were a toddler."

(Y/N): "Not this again. I hate classical music. You and your mountain kings, man."

(M/N): "In the hall of the mountain king is the best song in existence and will always be. Don't you dare say otherwise."

(Y/N): "Nerd."

     I said as we chuckled. I walked up to my room, and sat in my bed again. I looked at the light switch and sighed. I got up and turned it off, making myself tense up, but I just walked back to bed and sat down, staring at the dark ceiling, waiting until morning came.
