~~~ (Y/N) POV ~~~

I woke up and went to the kitchen where (A/N) was making breakfast.

(Y/N): "Good morning."

(A/N): "Well good morning, (Y/N). Go ahead and sit at the table, breakfast will be done shortly."

I sit at the table as (A/N) comes in with two plates of eggs, pancakes, bacon, and sausage. We start to eat as the sun shone through the open windows, shining on my (e/c) eye, and my patch.

I finished quickly and took my plate to the sink. I found a step stool and washed my dish before putting it into the dishwasher.

(A/N): "Well I will need to leave soon, but if you would like to walk around town and explore a bit you can, just be careful."

She said, as she got up and put her plate away. She grabbed her keys and headed out the door.

(A/N): "See you later."

I smile and nod. After a bit, I headed out the door and walked to the beach. When I made it to the shoreline I sat down and watched the horizon. I heard footsteps and looked to my side and saw a few feet away was someone walking around the cliff. I stood up in surprise as I saw the kid from the flash, he froze when he saw me.

???: "Oh. Hey. It's you."

I heard more footsteps on the sand as someone called out.

???: "Steven! Who are you talking to?"

A tall, pale person rounded the corner, and my eye widened when I saw what was on her forehead. It was something very similar to what was in my left eye, but a different color. A glossy round object.

Steven: "Oh hey Pearl. This is the guy I was talking to you about."

He pointed at me as Pearl looked at me.

Pearl: "Oh my. Is your eye okay?"

For a moment I didn't know what to do. And then I did something that my parents told me never to do as I stared at her.... I slowly took off my eye patch. Pearl and Steven gasped.

Pearl: "Another one? But, that can't be possible. How can you....? What? W-who?"

She continued to stammer as another figure appeared.

???: "Hey P, what's got you alllll, wwwhhhhhaaaaaAAAAAAAAAT!?"

She looked at me.

???: "How is that possible? I thought Steven was the only one?!"

Steven: "Me too!? Maybe that's how they entered my dream!"

I looked down, feeling a bit awkward, and like I shouldn't have shown them my eye.

Pearl: "We need to talk to you."

I look up and step back, shaking my head.

Pearl: "It is very important. If you have questions, we might be able to discover how this happened."

I stopped my retreat as I looked at them again. I look down and think. Then I nod. 

Steven: "Come on. The temple is right around the corner."

I follow the strange people to the house, temple thing. I sat on the couch as Pearl paced thinking for a moment.

Pearl: "Okay so...."

(Y/N): "(Y/N)."

Pearl: "Thank you. So (Y/N), do you know who your mother is?"

I nod.

Pearl: "Great, now what Gem was she?"

I tilt my head to the side confused.

(Y/N): "My mom's not a rock."

Pearl paused for a sec.

Pearl: "No, gem. I am a Pearl, there's amethyst, and Steven is a Rose Quartz. So, what gem was your mother?"

(Y/N): "I don't know."

Pearl: "....Okay what's her name?"

(Y/N): "(M/N)."

Pearl paused: "So your mother is just a human?"

I nod.

Pearl: "........ But that's impossible."

I put my eye patch back on.

Pearl: "Fine, then what can you do?"

I tilt my head again.

(Y/N): "What do you mean?"

Pearl: "Ruby's have an ability to increase heat and create fire and summon weapons. Sapphires can see the future and decrease the temperature to freeze their environment. Amethysts can summon weapons and set them aflame. And Steven can summon a shield, and bubble... and heal..... and many more things. So what about you?"

(Y/N): "I can do things?"

Pearl started to get very frustrated.

Pearl: "You have never discovered anything? No abilities?"

(Y/N): "I got hit by a car once......"

Pearl: "Yes, gem endurance helps make you physically stronger and tougher than most humans, but that doesn't help."

(Y/N): "I am great at fishing."

As I said that the door opened as someone else walked in.

???: "Hey, I'm hear for the...."

She stopped and looked at what was going on.

???: "Is this a bad time? And who is this?"

Steven: "Hey Connie. This is (Y/N). Their like me!"

Connie: "Oh. What do you mean by that?"

Steven: "He has a gem! Like me!"

Steven lifted up his shirt to show off his stomach gem.

Connie: "Oh cool. What is it."

Pearl: "That's what we're trying to figure out! Maybe if we take a closer look at it. (Y/N), can you take off your patch?"

I nod as I take off my eye patch.

Pearl: "This is very odd. I have never seen a gem of this color. Maybe a black pearl? No, that can't be."

Connie: "It kind of looks like one of those pieces of obsidian you see in jewel stores."

Pearl and a new figure froze when they heard the gem name.

Amethyst: "Why are you two so tense?"

Pearl: "It can't be obsidian, that's impossible. Garnet?"

The large figure walked over and crouched looking at my gem. Then stepped back, motioning for Pearl and Amethyst into a group huddle.

Connie: "What's wrong with obsidians?"

Steven: "I don't know."

After a bit they split up and looked at us. 

Pearl: "(Y/N), try to summon a weapon. Open your hand, and imagine a ball of light in your hand, and let it take shape, and let your hand close around the shape that feels natural."

I open my hand and close my eye. I felt something that I couldn't explain. I close my hand and opened my eye, seeing a black, talon like knife in my hand. As I gripped the handle, my index finger was in a hole that was at the end of the grip, and the blade curved outward from the bottom of my hand.

Pearl: "What? No gem has used a weapon like that? At least not that I know of, and gems do have individual weapons, so it isn't that weird now that I think about it."

Connie: "So are they an obsidian?"

Garnet: "No! That's impossible."

Pearl: "You see, an Obsidian, like Garnet, is a fusion. It is a combination of a Rose Quartz, a Pearl, a Ruby, a Sapphire, and an Amethyst. So if anything, I would say they most closely resembles a....."

She looked over to me wildly waving my arm to put out the flaming knife.

Pearl: "WAIT! UNSUMMON THE WEAPON!"

(Y/N): "HOW DO I EVEN DO THAT!"

Pearl: "LET GO OF THE LIGHT AND LET IT DISSIPATE!"

I let go and it dropped, and the knife disappeared..... but my hand was still aflame. I didn't notice as I thought the danger was over.

Connie: "(Y/N)! YOUR..."

Amethyst: "Wait! I wanna see how long it takes."

(Y/N): "How long what takes?"

Everyone stared at me for a sec, and I saw Pearl occasionally glance at my hand. I look down and start freaking out again, violently waving my arm, as I screamed.

Pearl: "Calm down! If it was dangerous, you would have been screaming long before now!"

I calm down and look at the black flame.

(Y/N): "H-how do I make it go away?"

Steven picked up a cup of water and poured it on my hand, which did nothing.

Pearl: "Garnet? Any advice?"

Garnet: "Calm down and embrace the fire, let it disappear into your gem."

I thought for a moment. Embrace the fire?

Suddenly, my entire body was aflame.

(Y/N): "I don't think it worked."

After a moment of silence, screaming started.

Pearl: "Garnet! Why did you say that? If this continues the whole temple will burn!"

After another moment of me thinking really hard, the fire died down.

Pearl: "Oh thank goodness. How did you put out the flame?"

(Y/N): "I thought of the second part that Garnet said."

Pearl: "Wait, so before you were just....... embracing the flame?"

I nod. Garnet face palms.

Garnet: "Try to make a spear."

Pearl opened her mouth to speak up but Garnet put up her hand. I closed my eyes again and felt something long and thin form in my hand. I closed my hands and grasped the object as I opened my eyes, to find a black spear, the tip with a swirling 'frill' around the tip and part of the shaft. Everyone's eyes widened, besides Garnet's, I think.

Pearl: "But that's, that's my spear. You already have a weapon, this can't be possible!"

She summoned her bluish white spear and compared it to the one in my hand, beside color, they were identical. Pearl started to think a little, then I think she blushed. I unsummoned my spear, and she did the same.

Pearl: "Maybe you are an obsidian. We are going to have to help you. Would you like to join us?"

I looked at them then thought about it as I put on my patch again.

(Y/N): "I don't know. I would have to ask my Aunt first."

Pearl nods and looks to Connie.

Pearl: "Sorry we had to cancel sword training today. Maybe tomorrow."

I get up and start leaving to go back home. It was dark outside and the moon shined a bright yellow. I opened the door to the house.

(A/N): "Oh thank goodness, I was starting to get worried. How was your stroll?"

(Y/N): "I met some cool people."

(A/N): "I am glad you met some new friends."

(Y/N): "They were really nice."

I went to my room to sleep.

(A/N): "Wait, shouldn't you get dinner?"

I pause for a moment.

(Y/N): "Actually, I am not really hungry."

(A/N): "You sure?"

I nod. I go to my room and hop in bed. I close my eyes, and go to sleep.
