Me, my brother Sean and the others were going through auditions and we were sitting in the room waiting for the results to come out and let me tell you. We were not in a good mood.
I was sitting between Sean and Eddie when a girl walked past us, eyeing Sean.
"You just gonna let her walk past you like that?" Jason asked, disappointed.
"Yeah, exactly what was that? Dawg, you gotta move on." Eddie asked, making me roll my eyes.
"Huh?" Sean replied, all gloomy.
"Emily is on tour. All right? It's over. Hot girl looks at you like that, man, you gotta handle it. You know better than that." Eddie finishes as Jason agrees with a nod of his head.
"I know I'd handle it."
Just then, the lady walks out and starts clapping trying to get everybody's attention.
"Sorry, everyone, looks like we found what we're looking for and we're out of time for today, so thanks again." The lady said before Sean starts to stand up.
"Are you serious? Come on. We've been out here for 3 hours. Please." Sean said, looking at her in sympathy.
"That's how it goes."
Just then a boy with hat on backwards and was wearing all black walked out with a smile.
"Thank you so much, Elizabeth. Appreciate it." He says with a smile as he shakes her hand before she walks back inside.
Sooner or later, we were heading outside.
"Shit." Eddie mumbled.
"Bad. That was bad." Jason replies back.
"I don't get it. I actually had a good feeling about this one." Sean said, looking at the building.
"Yeah. That one, and the one before, and all the other ones that we didn't get." Eddie says, holding his back.
"Yeah, I thought LA was supposed to be the place where dreams actually happen." Jason said.
"No, what actually happened is that we keep putting on this stupid shit for nothing. Where did you find these anyway? Actually, I don't wanna know." Eddie said, stopping in between sentences.
"In the dumpster behind El Compadre." She said, making us groan in disgust as we take off the things that we were wearing.
"It's called vintage, boo."
"No, that's called disgusting." Jason said with a look of disgust on my face.
Then they were all complaining.
"All right. Let's just chalk this up as another crappy audition." Sean said, trying to calm them down.
"Every audition is a crappy audition. I thought we were on our way. We move out here. We do the big Nike ad. Everything's looking good. And then nothing. I hate to say it, but what are we still doing here?" Eddie asked.
"Okay, it's been rough. We gotta blow off some steam. I know what we need." Sean said as he looks at me with a smile before looking at the others.
TIME SKIP
We were now walking into a club and we started to greet the bartender when someone bumped into Sean. Turns out, it was the boy from the audition.
"Hey! Its the mariachi band from earlier. You ladies play us something saucy?" He asked with a smile as his crew started to chuckle.
"That's cute. That necklace is cute, too. You get that at Claire's?" Sean asked, making me chuckle as well.
"Man, you spend all day coming' up with that? You must'a had a lotta' free time after not getting that gig."
"Whatever, man, just get outta here. We're just tryin' to have a good time." Jason said, trying to not cause anything.
"We came her to do a little dancin'. Unless that's a problem for you." The boy said, getting closer to Sean's face.
"It is. So go." Sean said, pointing away.
"Maybe we should settle it."
"You wanna battle on the floor?" Sean ask, making me get all nervous.
"Bro. I don't think that's a good idea." I whispered only to Sean, shaking his arm.
"What's the problem? Did the three amigos forget their sombreros?"
"Mexican reference? Good job, man. This guy's a dick. Come on. Let's just go." Jason said, patting Sean's shoulder.
"You picked the wrong night to get in my face, little man." Sean said.
"Are you having a tough day? It must suck to be hot for five minutes, then realize that your flash mob ain't nothing but a joke." The boy said with a smile.
"Okay, yeah, we got that. That's awesome. Thank you, man. Look, we've been there and done that. Let this go. Let's just go." Eddie said as I nodded my head in agreement.
"No, we came here to dance, right? Why don't we line it up for these clowns. Come on, let's go. Come on." Sean said, making us line up and then we started to dance.
(A/N: IM GOING TO SKIP THE DANCE BATTLE)
Towards the end, we ended up losing making us look embarrassing.
"Grim Knights! Grim Knights! Grim Knights!" The crowd cheered.
"That's the last time I make a fool of myself for you. That's it." Eddie said to Sean as he left.
"Way to look out for the crew, bro. Thanks, man. I'm outta here." Jason said before the whole crew started to leave.
I gave Sean an encouraging smile, letting him know that I was with him all the way.
"Hey, man. Easy come, easy go, bro. If everybody could make it, it wouldn't be Hollywood. Peace." The boys said as he left.
"Come on, Sean. Let's go." I told him, as we left the club and got on a bus and soon enough, I fell asleep on Sean's shoulder.
IN THE MORNING
We were heading back to where we met the others but we saw them leaving with their stuff and their luggage.
"There you are, guys. What is this?" Sean said.
"Look, we've been talking about it, man and it's time we go home, guys." Jason told Sean and I.
"I mean, we've gone hard. And it's nothing to be ashamed of."
"Then what? You're just gonna bail? All of you?" Sean asked the crew.
"Yo, man, wake up, man! When are you gonna stop acting like everything is just okay? This crew's not ready for LA, man. I don't know how you don't see that." Eddie said, making me feel uncomfortable.
"Because we made 50 grand off the Nike spot."
"Yeah. Six months ago. And split 13 ways. Dawg, I spend more money on gas going to auditions than most people do on rent. I'm over it. I'm done, man."
"So what are you gonna do? Hmm? You gonna go back to Miami?" Sean asked the crew.
"We're just all rapped out, man. Dude, we're 40 days late on our rent." Jason said.
"43."
"I've run out of stuff to sell on eBay, man. I have nothing." Jason said.
"Man, let's just call it what it is, all right? We're ready to go back." Eddie said as Sean lost it on them.
"So quit then. Go crawling back to Miami. Go ahead." Sean said, practically yelling.
"Ain't gotta be like this."
"Yeah, it does. Sorry, Y/n and I aren't leaving." Sean said, as the crew started to disperse.
Before you know it, it's just Sean and I.
