A/N-

I lied here's a chapter today instead, I'm feeling a lot of energy today :))

Third pov-

Sam and Bucky sent each other good morning texts as they got ready for their graduation.

    *****

Sam's pov- (I don't usually do this, but... today is the day I do (: )

I was feeling a little nervous. "Today is the day I get my diploma," I said to myself quietly as I looked across my room, where I had my graduation gown and cap.

Some people purchased some blue and black ones, while I got a red gown and cap.

I was planning on wearing a suit under my gown for the after-party.

Hmm, I wonder what Bucky would wear?

I was just about to text him again when my mom knocked on my door before opening it.

"Good morning, Samuel," My mother said, smiling as she saw my gown and cap, "today's the day. Are you ready for it?"

I shook my head, "Mentally? No. Physically? Maybe"

My mother rolled her eyes, the smile still on her face, "come and eat breakfast so you can get dressed later on," she said as she walked away.

I sighed, turning to look at the gown and cap.

"Today's your day, big boy," Sarah said, leaning against my door.

"How the fuck did you get here so fast?"

"Mom told me to come to make sure you're actually gonna come downstairs," Sarah said, looking down at her nails.

"I am going to go downstairs."

"If you say so. Come on"

     *****

Bucky's pov-

Today's going to be okay.

Today's going to be okay.

Today's goi-

"James? Why are you just staring into space? Today is your graduation! Be happy, honey!" My ma said, walking into my room.

"I am happy it's just-" I stopped feeling my cheeks turn red.

"Just what?"

"Well, for starters, I don't want to embarrass myself by tripping when I go up to get my diploma in front of everybody or something, and well, Sam hasn't said anything about staying here or moving back," I said the last part in a quiet voice. (a child yall a fucking child he is...I love it)

"Aww baby, come here," My ma said, pulling me into a hug.

"Today is going to be great. You're going to get your diploma, and you and Sam will have a conversation about his situation. Maybe he isn't telling you because he's just as confused himself, or maybe because it's a family matter, and you shouldn't be sticking your nose in someone else's family matter. But I'm sure Darlene would not let him leave you," she added.

"Maybe," I responded.

Rebecca came into my room, "Woah! Yall didn't call me for a group hug," she said as she walked up to us, wrapping her arms around ma and me. "What's this hug about? Bucky graduating and leaving the house for four years? Does that mean I get to change his room into my personal 'woman cave'? "

"Maybe," My ma said, grinning.

I pulled away from the hug, "hey! I'll still be visiting here! I would not want to be sleeping on the couch.

My ma chuckled as she got up, "I'll go make breakfast. You both go and get ready to come down in a bit."

"But I have so many ideas for the woman cave, ma!" Rebecca said, following my ma downstairs.

"This will not turn into a woman cave, Becca!" I said, getting up to follow them too.

Third pov-

The school held the graduation up at the hill with a breath-taking view.

It was truly beautiful the way they set up everything.

Everyone started filling up the seats as time passed by. The scholars who were graduating were sitting at the front. Some girls wore dresses or a jumpsuit under their gowns, while most boys wore a suit beneath them.

Bucky didn't put on his gown yet, but he still had it in hand. He surprisingly wore a suit, which shocked Sam, but Sam wouldn't lie, Bucky looked really attractive in a suit - not that he didn't look attractive without one -.

Bucky had purchased a blue gown and cap, so it matched with the suit he was wearing.

Bucky swears he stopped breathing for a second when he spotted Sam.

They had made eye contact, and both of their hearts were starting to beat faster.

Bucky broke the eye contact, his eyes looking down at Sam's figure.

He cleared his throat as he walked off, finding a place for him to put on his gown and cap.

Bucky's pov-

The principal, Mr.Fury, had started calling peoples names for them to get their diplomas.

Currently, I'm watching people, who are both nervous or excited, go up to the setup stage to get their diplomas. They stand, holding onto Mr.Fury's hand, waiting for the camera guy to take a picture before walking off, shaking the rest of the teachers' hands.

"James Buchanan Barnes"

Everyone started clapping as I got up, walking towards the stage.

Don't fall

Don't fall

Don't f-

"Good job, kid," Mr.Fury said, smiling as he shook my hand, handing me my diploma.

Is this really happening?

We both faced the cameraman, waiting for him to take a picture. While waiting, my eyes locked eyes with Sam's. He was smiling widely, as he was one of the people clapping.

I smiled at him as I looked at the camera, the smile still on my face as I heard it click.

Oh, this is definitely happening.

         *****

Sam's pov-

The names were still going as I waited for my name. Steve and Natasha had gotten their diplomas a few minutes ago. They looked happy to get it. In all honesty, I'm very proud of them. I'm proud of whoever is up there shaking hands with Mr.Fury, and I'm sure their family is just as proud.

"Samuel Thomas Wilson"

My heart started beating faster as everyone started clapping, my mom and Sarah being the loudest.

"Congrats, Samuel," Mr.Fury said, smiling as he hands me my diploma, "Thank you," I said as we shook hands.

We turned to the cameraman, waiting for him to take the picture.

Click

Mr.Fury and I shook hands again before I went on, shaking hands with the rest of the teachers.

Third pov-

Eric and his mother showed up for Sam's graduation, even though they were late and only made it to the after-party. Sam was still grateful that they came over here just for him.

"Your father couldn't make it today, but he said he's waiting for all of you in a week or two when you all come back home," Eric's mother said, drinking her punch.

"Oh, right! Sam! You, Sarah, and your mother are coming to Louisiana again, right?! We've been planning everything! I've missed you all so much, including your mother, surprisingly," Eric said, smiling.

Sam froze, trying to figure out how to tell Eric he was planning on staying here, "Eric I-"

"Tell me what you think later! I'm only staying for a few hours, and I want to explore with my mother a little! I'll be back!" Eric said, walking off, dragging his mother with him. Before Eric could pull his mother away fully, she turned around, looking at something behind Sam before looking back at Sam, "Remember Sam, everyone wants you back. I also want to know about you and your sister more. Think carefully about it.

This whole thing is so stressful, Sam thought, shaking his head as he looked down.

"Stay," someone said behind him.

Sam turned around, finding Bucky standing behind him, still in his graduation wear. He looked sad.

Bucky is sad. He didn't want Sam to leave, and upon hearing what Eric's mother said, he felt more upset.

"What?" Sam asked.

Bucky took a deep breath, "stay. Stay here. I-I know it's selfish. You've told me how much you wanted to go back to Louisiana, and I know you also want to see your other family, but please, please stay. I'm giving you a reason to stay. Stay with me. W-we can...go to the same college an-and be roommates and I...I want-"

Bucky got cut off by someone's lips on his. It was Sam's.

Bucky immediately kissed back, wrapping his arms around Sam's neck, pulling him closer.

Sam's heart skipped a beat as they continued to kiss, while Bucky sighed happily into the kiss, wanting to stay like this forever.

Unfortunately for him, Sam pulled away, resting his forehead on Buckys'.

"Okay," Sam whispered.

Bucky smiled widely, pulling Sam into a kiss, wanting to feel Sam's lips against his again.

         *****

"And yeah, that's pretty much it. I have someone here, and that someone is enough for me to stay," Sam finished.

Eric had a frown on his face, nodding his head as he said, "I understand, I guess. Plus, I can always visit you, or you can always come and visit us."

"I'm sorry, Eric. I wish we can all live together, but I promise I'll come to visit a lot."

Eric nodded, walking over to wrap his arms around Sam. He didn't want Sam to stay here, but it was Sam's decision. "I'll miss you," Eric said. "I'll miss you too," Sam said, hugging Eric back.

~

Darlene, Sarah, and Sam had been talking to Eric and his mother, getting to know one another for hours now.

They had stopped talking since they had to go back to Louisiana.

They'll miss each other, but one family can visit the other.

       *****

Jacob spotted Sam next to the drinks, a cup in hand, while Sam was scrolling through his phone with his other hand.

He walked over to Sam, feeling a little nervous, "hey."

"Hi?" Sam said, getting up to walk away.

"No, no, wait. Please."

"What do you want, Jacob?"

"I-I want to apologize. What I did was wrong in many ways."

Sam shook his head, "It's fine. The past is the past."

"No, listen to me. I dared to cheat even after you told me you already got cheated on in your last relationship. I'm very sorry, Sam. I cheated to make myself feel better, and it did not make me feel better. It made me feel worse. I was feeling insecure. The crew was making me feel that way. It's wrong, I know. You are way out of my league.

I don't deserve you. I didn't want to act the way I did when we were dating. I did like you, Sam. I know we can't work, and I'm not asking if we can get back together. I don't want to make the same mistake with Landon.

I'm here to say sorry. We don't have to be friends if you don't want to."

Sam sighed, "It's okay, Jacob. You could've told me about you feeling insecure. That maybe would've helped us.

I don't think we should be friends, though. It wouldn't be the same. I hope you and Landon last." Sam finished, patting Jacob on the shoulder, walking away.

Jacob sighed. That didn't go as bad as I thought it would, Jacob thought.

   *****

"You both should come to visit when you can," Sam said, taking a bite of his cupcake.

"You too! Ever since Tony and I started dating, we decided that we wanted to go to the same college," Steve said, also eating his cupcake.

"Pfft, you both never leave each other alone. I'm not surprised yall want to go to the same college now," Natasha said. Her head was on Sharon's shoulder while they were both on their phones.

Sharon scoffed.

"Me and Nat's college is only 4 hours away from each other, but we're still willing to make it work. We're planning on being together Saturdays and Sundays," Sharon said, placing her chin on top of Natasha's head.

Natasha nodded, "yeah, that's what we're doing. I'm going to miss both of you, even though you both annoy me. We could all facetime either way."

Sam chuckled, "we do not annoy you. I mean, maybe Steve but me? No way."

"Don't start, Samuel," Steve said, rolling his eyes as a smile made its way on his lips.

"When are yall planning to hang out?" Sharon asked.

"Holidays or when they give us a break - hopefully on the same week -." Steve said.

"When do you all plan on leaving?" Sam asked.

"Well, Sharon and I plan on leaving a month early before our school starts, hoping to learn more about the place we'll be staying at for four years," Natasha spoke up, Sharon nodding.

"Tony and I are planning to leave a week before it starts," Steve said.

"What about you, pretty boy?"

"Well, thanks for asking Tasha. Bucky and I haven't decided when we want to leave yet."

"Oh. You and Bucky?" Natasha asked, looking at Sam, smirking slightly.

"Yes. Me and Bucky. We even kissed again, and we aren't even drunk this time," Sam says, smirking.

"What?!" Steve and Natasha asked at the same time while Sharon raised an eyebrow, surprised we did something about our feelings.

"Surprising, right?"

"Yes, Sam! When did this happen?" Steve asked, smiling.

"Today, obviously," Sam replied, chuckling.

"Obviously, pretty boy, but when? At what point today?" Natasha asked.

"Like a few hours ago. I haven't seen Bucky since then. He's hanging out with Isabella, and they're with Rebecca and his mother. They want to be with her right now since she's going to college out of state," Sam said.

"Oh," Steve mumbled.

        *****

After graduation, Sarah and Sam's mother had gone home to get ready for the dinner that's happening in Bucky's house. Sam had gone home with Bucky and his family.

When they arrived, Sam took a shower in Bucky's bathroom. While Bucky waited for his turn, he picked an outfit for Sam to wear when he comes out.

Sam's mother and Sarah had shown up an hour later. Darlene went to help Winnifred cook the dinner while Sarah went up to Rebecca's room.

The purpose of this dinner was to celebrate the fact that Sam and Bucky graduated.

Bucky and Sam were cuddled up in his bed as they heard a knock on Bucky's door.

"What?" Bucky asked, loud enough for the person at the door to hear.

The door opened, revealing Rebecca at the door. Sarah poked her head in, "dinner is ready, lovebirds," Rebecca said.

Bucky rolled his eyes at his sister before he locked eyes with Sam as they smiled at each other. They got up to go eat dinner.

They could honestly get used to this.

It was a good reason to stay after all.
