"Hey, LeBron, how'd it go with the Redhawks?" Zeke asked Troy as he entered the kitchen to grab breakfast.
"You know, they're very tall." Troy answered.
"We got Liv to play, so it worked out." Zeke informed the boy before he walked away. "You know your sister. In case you were wondering."
"Well, maybe we could play later today." Troy suggested, looking back at the boy as he placed his plate on the counter in front of Chad and Alyvia.
"I don't know. Check with Liv." Chad harshly said, causing Troy to glance from his best friend to his sister who wouldn't even look at him.
"Well, Mr. Evans set up the workout, not me." Troy shrugged his shoulders, looking away from the girl.
"Did you even ask to include us?" Chad questioned, pushing himself up. "Captain?"
"I didn't go looking for the Redhawks, the Redhawks came to me. Okay?" Troy stated."I didn't sign up for this golf job, Fulton offered it. I said yes. My decision. But I show up to work the same as you, so chill, man."
"No, Troy, you chill." Alyvia finally spoke, gaining everyone's attention. "It's like ever since we've gotten here you've become this whole other person. You get a little speck of dirt on yourself and someone runs to dry cleans you!"
"And you wouldn't do the same thing if..." Troy started but was cut off by the girl.
"What? If I was as good as you at literally everything?" Alyvia sarcastically asked, shrugging her shoulders. "Well I'm sorry Troy, we both can't be the favorite Bolton!"
"I did not say that." Troy spoke softer.
"Yeah, well you didn't have to!" Alyvia snapped, tossing the towel she had in her hand down on the counter before she stormed out of the kitchen.
Liv needed some fresh air and headed straight towards the pool area, to her luck no one was out there due to it being after hours.
The girl wrapped her arms around herself as she looked down at her reflection in the pool before she began walking through the resort.
You can change your life (if you wanna)
You can change your clothes (if you wanna)
If you change your mind
Well, that's the way it goes
But, I'm gonna keep your jeans
And your old black hat ('cause I wanna)
They look good on me
You're never gonna get them back
At least not today, not today, not today
'Cause if it's over let it go and
Come tomorrow it will seem so yesterday, so yesterday
I'm just a bird that's already flown away
Laugh it off and let it go and
When you wake up it will seem so yesterday, so yesterday
You can say you're bored (if you wanna)
You could act real tough (if you wanna)
You could say you're torn
But, I've heard enough
Thank you, you made my mind up for me
When you started to ignore me
Do you see a single tear?
It isn't gonna happen here
At least not today, not today, not today
'Cause if it's over let it go and
Come tomorrow it will seem so yesterday, so yesterday
I'm just a bird that's already flown away
Laugh it off and let it go and
When you wake up it will seem so yesterday, so yesterday
Haven't you heard that I'm gonna be okay?
Alyvia slowly made her way up the path of lit tables to a lit up stage that held her brother and Sharpay with her background singers.
"Liv." Troy spoke, stepping toward the girl.
Alyvia let out a scoff of disbelief before she turned around, walking away from the calls of her name.
"Liv, wait!"
...
The next day, the Wildcats had all gathered in the dance studio to learn the choreography for the song they were performing for the talent show from Ryan and Liv was having a good time just being together with all her friends.
"Show me what you got!" Ryan exclaimed.
Alyvia, Chad, Gabriella, and Ryan moved around in a circle in the middle of the floor as everyone clapped to the beat around the room.
Chad grabbed onto the Bolton's girl's hands as the pair began dancing together with giant smiles on their faces, the boy spinning her in a circle as they went to join the others as they created a giant circle around the room.
"Here we go!" Ryan exclaimed. "Give it to me!"
Boys began to freestyle as everyone rocked to the beat in the back.
"You got it! Here we go! Pass it to me!"
Ryan and Gabriella grabbed hands as they made their way down the line before everyone crashed to the center cheering as the music faded.
"Oh, cut that! Get out of here!" Ryan smiles, waving the group out.
Alyvia pulled Gabriella into a tight hug, sharing a smile with the girl before she felt someone tickle her side, causing her to squeal as the Danforth boy wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Ready to go?" Chad asked, causing the girl to nod with a smile.
"See ya Kels." Alyvia called, causing the girl at the piano to wave as the Danforth boy threw his arm over the girl's shoulder, leading her out of the rehearsal room.
"So how was your night?" Chad asked, looking down at the girl as they broke off from the group.
"Uneventful." Alyvia answered, letting out a light chuckle. "As soon as I got home, I locked myself in my room to avoid Troy."
"If it makes you feel any better, I kinda went off on him after you stormed out of the kitchen yesterday." Chad admits, causing the girl to stop as she turns to face him.
"And what exactly did you say?" Alyvia questioned.
"Just that he wasn't the same guy we voted to be our captain and things changed." Chad explained, causing the girl to nod. "And then I asked him, 'If your own sister doesn't know who you are these days, then who does?'. And it may have come off more mean than I wanted it to but he deserves it because no one makes my girl upset!"
"Your girl, huh?" Alyvia questioned, raising her eyebrow looking up at the boy.
"I mean yeah. I just kinda thought we were together." Chad stated, causing the girl's heart to skip a beat. "You know, together together."
"Oh, really?" Alyvia smiled, causing the boy to nod. "You thought we were boyfriend and girlfriend?"
"I mean yeah." Chad nodded, slowly. "Is that not.. Is that not the case?"
"No, it's great." Alyvia answered. "It's just, I've kinda been waiting for you to ask me to be your girlfriend for a while now."
"Oh."
"Hey, It's okay." Alyvia smiled, letting out a chuckle as she placed her hand on his cheek. "It's just a question. Besides, we act like we're together together and I could have seen where you would have gotten confused."
"But I just assumed we were dating without asking."
"Chad, we're dating okay." Alyvia chuckled lightly, causing the boy to nod as a smile grew on his face.
...
It was finally the end of their long shift and the Wildcats were gathered together in the kitchen rocking out before they left for the night.
Kelsi was using the plates as a turntable while Martha was freestyling behind her.
"Go, Martha! Go, Martha!"
"May I have your attention please! You guys, I need to make an announcement." Taylor announced walking into the room, causing everyone in the kitchen to go quiet as they made their way to the McKessie girl. "All junior staffers will be required to work on show night."
"What?"
"Yeah, it says, 'No staff participation in the show will be allowed. No exceptions.'" Taylor read, causing the Montez girl to grab one of the flyers from her hands.
"No show?" Kelsi asked, sadly causing Alyvia to send the girl a sad smile before wrapping her arms around her.
"There's a show. We're just not in it." Taylor explained.
"That's just great." Alyvia muttered.
"I'm sorry, you guys. There's nothing we can do about it. It's Fulton's orders."
"Are you sure about that?" Alyvia asked.
"There's no way this is Fulton's idea." Chad added, causing the Bolton girl to shake her head.
"Unless Fulton suddenly has blonde hair and wears designer flip-flops." Kelsi commented, sharing a look with Liv before Liv looked over to Gabriella.
"Excuse me." Gabriella sighed, pushing her way through the group as she stormed out of the kitchen.
Alyvia approached Chad looking at the flyer in his hand, causing them to share a look before they both shook their heads as the boy threw his arm over her shoulder as they walked away,
...
Alyvia waved to the Danforth boy as she opened the front door of her home before closing it behind her.
"I'm home." Alyvia called, walking towards the kitchen to find her mother standing over the stove.
"Hi honey." Mrs. Bolton greeted her daughter with a smile, kissing the girl's cheek. "How was work?"
"It was fine, where's dad?" Alyvia asked.
"I think he went upstairs to talk to your brother." She replied, causing the girl to roll her eyes. "Something going on with you and Troy?"
"It's just... ever since we've gotten to the country club Troy's become this whole other person." Alyvia explained, causing her mom to raise her eyebrow as she placed the pan on the stove before turning to her daughter.
"Whole other person?"
"He's kinda become a real jerk." Alyvia admitted, shrugging her shoulder. "I mean our boss has literally made me pick up Troy's work because we're twins while he's been off having lunch with Sharpay's dad and his college bud's. And he has had the audacity to treat me as if I'm just some random server chick."
"Mr. Evans?" Mrs. Bolton asked.
"No mom, Troy!"
"Oh, I'm sorry honey. Do you want me to have your dad talk to him?" She asked, pointing up the stairs making her way towards them.
"No, it's fine." Alyvia stated, holding her hands up causing the woman to stop. "I had a feeling we weren't going to be close forever. I would have thought it would have been when I left for NYU next fall and we just accidentally drifted apart, but I guess not."
"I'm sorry, honey." Mrs. Bolton spoke, placing a hand on the girl's cheek with a small smile. "How about you go wash up for dinner?"
"I'm not really hungry. Me and Chad grabbed something after work." Alyvia spoke, causing her mom to nod. "I'm just gonna head to my room."
"Okay."
Liv sent her mom a small smile before she made her way up the stairs.
As she made her way to her room she passed Troy bedroom door that was wide open.
"Hey, Liv." Alyvia heard from the room, causing her to close her eyes as she stopped in her tracks before she took a few steps back.
"Hey, dad." Alyvia smiled at the man.
"I was just telling your brother maybe you guys can call some friends over, get some hoops going and get our grub on."
"Actually I think I'm gonna call it a night, it's been a really long day." Alyvia replied, noticing her brother's back was pointed towards the door.
"Okay, well maybe another night." Mr. Bolton suggested.
"Yeah, maybe." Alyvia spoke, glancing at her brother one last time as he glanced at her over his shoulder before she turned and left the room.
"What's going on with you guys?" Bolton asked, turning to his son once the girl disappeared, causing him to turn his head away from the door.
