Tanmoku Ki was the type of child who was isolated by everyone... usually being bullied every time he's with other children beating him and calling him names while adults call him a demon of some sort.... But then someone came into his life, who cared  about him...
      Kagome POV
        "You better come home before sunset Kagome!" I grinned while holding Yu (wolf form) in my arms while replied "I hear ya mom, see you in a bit!"
           I walked through the streets to playground around the block where most kids like me play. As I arrived there, I saw kids bullying on a raven-haired boy playing at a sandbox. I dropped Yu and  ran in impulse and ran in front of the boy, using myself as a shield. The bullies just laughed at my entrance.
       "Heh, you're so pathetic that  you have a girl protecting you." One of the bullies taunted. I puffed out my cheeks and pointed a finger at him hatefully while glaring at him "Says the one who bullies on a defenseless boy, your pretty much the pathetic one." One of them just scoffed and asked sarcasticly "Do you even know what that kid is? He's the  strangest and weakest from the rest of us."
         Grrr..... They're really making me angry.. I raised my voice in anger "That doesn't mean for you guys to bully him for those stupid reasons!!!"
          One of them just somehow decided to land a punch on me but I dodged and he fell on his face. "I'm not going to leave this boy, even if you threaten me.... you but-heads."
    Tanmoku Pov
         I can't believe that girl would  stand up for me. She doesn't even know about me..... As I saw her fend off the bullies, she seemed so stubborn to protect me but why??? I somehow kept on rethinking of why this stranger would protect me.....   
          After she dealt with the bullies, she smiled sweetly at me and lended out her hand to mine. "Are you ok?" I nodded nervously and reached out to grab her hand.
        "Yeah, I'm ok... But why did you stand up for me??" She puffed out her cheeks and replied " Well, people are different in their own way, but they are still human. So they shouldn't bully each other. It's just really mean."
           I just looked at her in surprise, she really doesn't care about me being a little different.... She suddenly gave me a bright smile and pulled/dragged me to away from the sandbox.
            I blushed lightly while she still guided me. Suddenly she stopped and turned around with a bright smile "Oh, by the way, My name is Kagome You, and this little cutie is my wolf, Yuichiro!" She said while she pointed at a white furred wolf cub that had a earring on its left ear. The wolf just looked at me blankly and turned away uninterested.
        We both sweatdropped at the sight and then she laughed a little bit "Well, I guess that's fuzzy for ya." I looked at her nervously and asked her "Do you even know rumors about me?" She just widened her eyes in surprise and replied " Yeah, I do know but I don't care about them, their just probably rumors anway.."
       I just looked at her, flabbergasted by her answer. She smiled and kneels down at my feet, still looking up at my face with determination
         "I don't care of what others say, you seem like any other kid. I promise that I will always protect you as much as I can even if it means I have to get hurt."
         That promise that girl made shocked me.... she barely even knows me and she's willing to protect me? Why?? I felt tears started to build up in my eyes. Kagome notices the tears and began to freak out and spilling out apologies to me, while I just laughed in joy when she fretted over me.
         I finally met someone who cares about me despite of what she heard about me. Kagome just blinks in confusion and then she laughs along with me. She smiled and started to walk, pulling me along
           "Let's take you home, buddy" I smiled lightly and replied "Yes... by the way my name is Tanmoku Ki." She smiled even more brightly and continued to walk me home while her wolf, Yuichiro followed us home.
       I felt warmth surround my heart and heat pouring into my cheeks.... What is this feeling?? I shook off the question from my mind and just let myself enjoy this feeling as I can....
    As we arrived at my house, Kagome started to walk away from me while waving "I'll see you tomorrow, Ki!" I smiled and waved back "Yeah you too,Kagome-chan!"
           But then, I suddenly did something I thought I'd never do.... I ran up to Kagome-chan and gave her hug. She tensed at first but then she returned back my hug and ruffle my hair affectionately. I grinned as I let go of our hug to see Kagome-chan smile back and started to walk away again
         "Ok, I'll see ya next time Ki. If you get in touble with those jerks, find me so I can teach them a lesson on leaving you alone." I nodded and waved as she left.
       I started to head towards my door, but then I took a quick glance to where Kagome-chan was. She was so kind to me.... she saved me back there from those bullies... She's like my knight in shining armor... to be exact, she's my cute knightress.
     I smiled happily at the thought as I went inside my home to tell my mom that I finally found someone to call a friend.
              Timeskip
     Kagome POV
       Ahh! It's been a big day. I plopped down into my bed in exhaustion while Yu, jumped into the bed next to me.
     That boy, Ki... he's so shy but I guess that makes sense because of those stupid bullies. -_- But, he's a nice kid, there is nothing wrong with him like those jerks said about them..... I actually hope that I can get to know him more.....
      Suddenly I heard soft snoring next to me... I turned around in my bed to see Yuichiro in his wolf form sleeping peacefully next to me. I smiled softly and pulled him into a hug.
       "I guess you were really tired from today huh? Well.... I'm glad that your my guardian angel... Yu" I pulled him even closer, and I got comfortable in my bed. I sighed happily and closed my eyes. I can't wait for tomorrow's adventure....
