- - - - RIVERDALE HIGH PHOTO LAB - - - -
A few hours later, during after school hours, Peter is in the photo lab, working on some recently took photos, when suddenly he hears a knock on the door.

Peter: Come in.

The door opens and, to Peter surprise, Josie walks in to the photo lab. Peter's full attention has now been given to whatever Josie wants.

Peter[cont.]: Josie?

Josie: Hey, Pete. What are you doing?

Peter: Uhm, just working on some photos. What's up?

Josie: I have a request for you... would you mind pretending to be my date?

Peter's eyes almost jump out of his head, with hearing Josie say that. Why, of all people, would she ask me? He wondered, to himself.

Peter: Your what?

Josie: My dad is visiting and Flash is not the most... table friendly. So, just for tonight, I wanna...

Peter: Create an illusion for your Dads approval. Must say I've never been an escort before. Why not?

Josie: Really?! Oh thank you, Petey.

Peter: No problem.

With excitement, and not controlling her actions, Josie gives Peter a big hug and holds him tight. Taken off guard by this, seconds later Peter returns the hug and slowly holds Josie tight.

Josie: Peter?

Peter: Yeah.

Josie: Do you work out? because you're all muscles

Peter immediately breaks away, from Josie, as does his best to come up with some excuse.

Peter: Oh yeah, I do... Pilates. So, what time should I be there?

Josie: Meet us at the Pembroke at 6:30, tonight, okay?

Peter: Sure, I'll be there.

Josie: Thank you, so much. See ya later.

Peter: See ya.

After Josie walks out of the photo-lab, Peter lets out a deep sigh and puts his head in his hands.

- - - - THE SISTERS OF QUIET MERCY - - - -

Meanwhile Betty, Gwen, and Jughead arrive at the sisters of quiet mercy, which, from the outside, looks like something Tim Burton or the Addams Family would call home. Betty looks upon the building with deep sympathy, for her sister, that she would be stuck in a place like this. Jughead notices this and tries his best to cheer her up.

Jughead: Hey. Don't judge a home for troubled youths by its facade, right?

Betty let's out a deep breath, as the three of them walk inside the building. Once the three teens walk inside the building they approach the front desk office, wear a nun is seated.

Betty: Hi. My name is Elizabeth Cooper. I'm here to see my sister, Polly.

Nun#1: May I see some identification?

Betty pulls her out her ID card and hands it to the nun, who is constantly giving her the stink eye.

Nun#1: Sign in here, please. Those two'll have to wait.

Betty: Actually, she's also family. She's my cousin.

Betty points at Gwen, who looks confused. But once Betty gives her look, she then quickly decides to goes along with it.

Gwen: Yeah... I am.

Nun#1: Ok, come with me.

The two girls then follow the nun leaving Jughead alone to wait, in the waiting room.

Nun#1[cont.]: Polly's room is right this way. Though right now it's silent reflection time, and she usually spends that time in the Garden of Deliverance.

The nun leads the girls outside, where tending to a bush full of roses is Polly Cooper. At first Betty steps back, almost afraid to say anything, when Gwen then touches her shoulder and gives her a reassuring nod. Filled with confidence, Betty begins to approach Polly.

Betty: Polly?

Polly Cooper: Betty. Oh, my God. You found us.

The sisters embrace and are both happy to see each other again. Gwen watches with a slight smirk, on her face, as she is happy that Betty is finally reunited with her sister. But once Betty pulls away from Polly, what the two girls see is beyond surprising. Polly was pregnant. Both Betty and Gwen are at a loss for words, as to what they're seeing.

Betty: You're... Polly... You're... With Jason's...

Polly: Please be happy for me, Betty.

Betty: I am, Polly. I'm just... I am so sorry I didn't come sooner. I should've, but Mom and Dad... They stopped... No.

Polly: What did they tell you? That I was on drսg? Alcohol?

Betty: They said you were sick. That you tried to hurt yourself.

Polly: And they told me you didn't want to come and see me, which I knew was a lie.

Gwen: So, they locked you up because you're pregnant?

Polly: It's because they couldn't control me, Betty. Mom and Dad hated that Jason and I were dating. They were thrilled when Jason dumped me. Jason's parents forced him to break up with me. Of course they didn't approve of a Blossom boy dating a Cooper girl. But when I told him about the baby, our baby... Oh, he was so happy, Betty.  We were gonna run away. Start our family in a beautiful place. So, on July 4th, I woke up, I packed a bag, and I went downstairs to start my new life. Just like Jason and I had planned. We were gonna meet on the other side of Sweetwater River. But Mom and Dad found out about everything. When I went downstairs, there was a woman I didn't know sitting at the kitchen table drinking tea with two men behind her.

Hearing all that Polly has gone through nearly brings a tear to Betty's eye. She can't believe what she's hearing and what her mother has done to Polly.

Betty: Oh, my God.

Polly: They threw me in the back of a van. I was screaming. I don't think I stopped screaming until I got here, in this place. Have you talked to him? Does he know that I'm here?

Betty: Who, Polly?

Polly: Jason. If I give him a message, will you make sure it gets to him?

Both Betty and Gwen hearts drop to their stomach, once they both realize that Polly had no clue what has happened to Jason.

Betty: Polly, Jason...

Polly: What does he think happened? He knows that I'm here because of Mom and Dad, right?

Gwen: Polly, you don't understand...

Polly: I can fix this, I know I can. You just have to help me get out of here, and then I'll go to meet him. I'll go to the car on the lost highway off of Route 40. Once you pass the old maple syrup sign, then you'll know you're almost there." See? I remember. I'm packed. We're packed. We'll go to the farm just like we planned...

Betty: Polly, stop!

Polly stops mid-sentence and once she sees Betty and Gwen's face, she realizes that something is wrong.

Polly: What's the matter, Betty? What? What is it?

Betty: Jason...

Polly: What? Did something happen to him? Something bad? Oh, my God! I knew it.

Polly begins to break down and starts to cry, profusely. While she is doing that, Betty is trying her best to comfort her.

Betty: I'm sorry, Polly.

NUN: You two.

Betty and Gwen turn around and sees the same Nun, who brought them to meet Polly, standing behind them and looking upset.

Nun[cont.]: Come with me, Now.

Reluctantly, Betty and Gwen go with the Nun and leave Polly alone, who drops to her knees in anguish.

                      - - - - PARKER HOUSE - - - -
Meanwhile, Peter arrives home and sees Aunt May sitting on the couch, still wearing her POP's waitress uniform.

Peter: Hey, Aunt May.

Aunt May: Hey, Peter. How was school?

Peter: It was... eventful. How was work?

Aunt May: Also eventful. So, what would you like for dinner? Tacos or Pizza?

Peter: Actually, Aunt May, I'm gonna be eating at the Pembroke, tonight.

Aunt May: Really? What's the occasion?

Peter: I was invited... by Josie.

Aunt Mays interest than peaks ten-fold, upon hearing that Peter has a supposed date, with Josie. She always wanted Peter to get out there and find someone and, hopefully, he finally has.

Aunt May: Really?! Am I sensing a possible... rekindling going on.

Peter: TBD and TMI, honestly. I'm just helping out a friend, that's all. Nothing more, nothing less.

Aunt May: Okay, well you better get ready. Don't want you to be late.

After saying that, Aunt May practically pushes Peter up the stairs, so that he'll get ready. Peter was both embarrassed and amused by Aunt Mays reaction and although he was too prideful to admit, Peter was also kinda looking forward to this dinner with Josie.

- - - - SISTERS OF QUIET MERCY - - - -
Meanwhile, at the Sisters of Quiet Mercy, Berry and Gwen are currently in the Sisters library room. As Gwen is pacing the floor, wondering what's about to happen next, she looks up and notices Betty looking out with window, with a single tear coming out of her eye. She knew that Betty had gone through a lot, after seeing her sister and what she had to go through, so Betty goes over to her and gives a comforting pat on the shoulder.

Gwen: Are you okay?

Betty nods, as she's too emotional to speak. Just as that is happening the library room door bust open and Alice Cooper comes walking in. Betty and Gwen are both dumbfounded and terrified, to see Alice standing there.

Betty: Mom? What are you doing here?

Alice Cooper: I pay the Sisters good money. You think they don't notify me if Polly gets a visitor?

As Alice is escorting Betty and Gwen, at the same time Polly is being escorted to her room. Alice is also speechless when she sees Polly, who has anger in her eyes.

Polly: Mom?

Alice Cooper: Polly...

Polly: Jason's dead? And you didn't tell me? And you kept me in here?

Alice Cooper: Baby, it's for your own good.

Polly: Ugh! You always say that. And it's not true!

As Polly is going off on Alice, a group of orderly's come and begin to drag her away.

Polly: No! Betty!

Hearing her sisters plea, Betty breaks from the orderly's grasp and gives her older sisters hug and a promise.

Betty: I'm gonna get you out of here, I swear to God. I love you, Polly.

Polly: No!

Polly is then pulled away, from Betty, and is screaming as she being pulled back to her room. Betty, Alice, Gwen, and Jughead all watch in anguish as Polly being dragged away.

- - - - THE PEMBROKE - - - -
Later that night, Peter is at the Pembroke and sitting at the table, next to Josie, as they enjoy their meal. Also at this meal is Mayor McCoy, Hermione Lodge, Archie and Fred Andrews, and Josie's dad Myles McCoy who was staring daggers at Peter. Peter did his best not to look Myles, in the eye, but he was still very uncomfortable.

Peter: The food was really good, Mrs.Lodge

Hermione: Thank you, Peter.

Mayor McCoy: So, Peter. How does it feel to be back, in Riverdale?

Peter: Well, to be honest, it has taken sometime to get accustomed, to the small town life. But, I'm starting to get used to it.

Mayor McCoy: That's great to hear, Peter. I'm glad you and Josie have reconnected, after all these years.

Myles McCoy: Sure. Although I would've preferred Josie date someone of a... darker complexion.

Josie and Mayor McCoys hearts drop to their chest, from Myles comment. Wanting to break the tension, Fred Andrews decides to speak up and change the subject.

Fred Andrews: So, Myles, you being a professional jazz man, you must be livin' your dream, right?

Myles McCoy: Well, yes and no. The real struggle is always art versus commerce.

Fred Andrews: You know, I've never really been about the big paycheck.

Mayor Sierra McCoy: But if we're talking about the future and long-term security, it can't always be about following your bliss.

Hermione Lodge: Personally, I'm just excited to see my daughter perform with the Pussycats at the Variety Show.

Hearing this, Myles takes a double take at this recent PussyCat news he was not privy to.

Myles: I beg your pardon? When were you gonna tell me about this?

Josie: It just happened, Dad, and she's... She's really, really good. And Val quit. Or should I say we were Yoko Ono'd?

Myles: Really? That's unfortunate. She was the real deal. Gave your act some much-needed integrity.

Fred: Well, I figure as long as the kids are havin' fun, that's the point, right?

Myles: Except it's more than just about being fun for us. Isn't it, Josephine?

Archie: Josephine? I didn't know that was your real name.

MYLES: After Josephine Baker... You have no idea who that is, do you?

Hermione: Fred? You wanna get started on that presentation?

Fred: Yeah.

While Fred and Hermione are doing their presentation. Peter and Josie go down to the lobby, to get some alone time.

Peter: That was... intense. I honestly forgot how scary your dad was.

Josie: I'm sorry.

Peter: No, it's totally fine. I take it your dad doesn't know about Flash, huh?

Josie doesn't say a word and only looks at Peter. It's all the answers Peter needed to know and he didn't want to pry and further.

Peter: Anyway, How are you feeling about all of this?

Josie: I'm holding in there. Now you see why I couldn't take Flash to this? He would've made a fool of himself and made things worse for me. "All to better my image" my mom would always say, every time something would happen between me and Flash.

Peter: Yeah. Flash can be a tough one. But, from what I've seen, you've been able to him hold him down.

Josie: Barely. I just don't know what to do to make him proud of Metz I feel like everything I do is not enough, for him, and theres probably nothing I can do, that'll make him proud of me.

Peter: Josie. I'm sure you dad is proud of you. He just, probably, has a tough way of showing it.

Peter can tell that what he is saying is not getting through to Josie, since she is very troubled by this. Wanting to get her attention, Peter than grabs her hand and wraps them into his hands.

Peter[cont.]: Look, I know things seem tough now, but eventually things better. Eventually.

Josie laugh at Peters cute quip and suddenly the two begin to stare into each others eye. As the two begin to lean in, Mayor McCoy comes storming out the elevator and the two immediately break away.

Mayor McCoy: Josie, let's go.

Josie sheepishly gets up and waves good bye, at Peter. Before she steps outside, she stops and turns around to face Peter.

Josie: You're gonna be at the Variety Show tomorrow, right.

Peter: Of course, I'll be there.

Josie: Promise?

Peter than jokingly crosses his hears and races his right hand.

Peter: Promise.

Josie laughs, once again, and gives a big smile, just before waking out the door. If there weren't any camera around, Peter would've jumped for joy. For the first time ever, things seem to finally be going right for ol'Peter and he couldn't be any happier.

           - - - - DOWNTOWN RIVERDALE - - - -
A few hours later, in a shady part of downtown Riverdale, a woman is walking alone when she is then, suddenly, yanked into a dark alley by a scare-faced thing, with a razor in his hand.

Woman: Please, I don't want any trouble?

Thug: Those legs say something else. Lets see where they lead.

Woman: No, please!!!

As the thing is pulling up the woman skirt, a webline suddenly yanks him off the ground and he is now dangling from a nearby lamppost. The woman looks up to see Spider-Man perched on top of the lamppost, looking down.

Spider-Man: Whatever happened days of asking a woman on a nice date? I guess chivalry really is dead.

Thug: Get me down from this damn thing.

Spider-Man: Once you learn your lesson, I'll think about it.

Spidey than somersaults off the wall and lands. Once on the ground he picks up the purse and approaches the lady.

Spider-Man[cont.]: Here you go, ma'am.

The woman is first scared to take her purse, but once she sees that Spidey is one of the good guys she takes her purse back and slightly smirks at Spidey.

Woman: Thank... thank you.

Spider-Man: All in a days work.

As the woman begins to run off, suddenly a police car pulls up and stops in front of Spider-Man. Once the car comes to a complete stop, an officer walks out and slowly approaches Spider-Man.

Spider-Man[cont.]: It's okay officer, I took care of it.

Officer: Thanks for the help.

As Spider-Man begins to walk away, his spidey-senses begin to tingle as the officer unholster his weapon and begins to aim at Spider-Man. Luckily, Spider-Man backflips over the officer and yanks the gun from his hand, with a web line.

Before the cop can get his barrings, he is then webbed to an opposite wall and is trying to break free.

Officer: Let me go, You can't do this!!!

Spider-Man: Hmm, it seems I already have. Now why would you shoot at me, besides a little bit of jealousy.

Officer: I wasn't gonna kill you, you idiot. I just wanted to collect the reward...

After saying that, Spider-Man grows intrigued and begins to slowly walk toward the officer, who beings to cower in fear.

Spider-Man: What reward?
