McAllister emerged in 2012, producing tracks for the likes of fellow rap upstarts Shy Glizzy, Jose Guapo, and Young Dolph; he also scored a track on Gucci Mane and Young Scooter's Free Bricks II mixtape. As a rapper, he released two full-length, self-produced efforts: Married to the Money and Finesse Father.

A Tribe Called Quest will be holding a memorial event for the late Phife Dawg on Monday April 4 in Queens.

The news comes via a website that simply states: "Please meet us at St. Albans Park in Queens, NY on April 4th at 10:30am. The first 200 fans to arrive will receive something very special!" [Via Pitchfork]

Tributes to the rapper poured in during the past week. Q-Tip hosted a special session of his Beats 1 radio show featuring words from Chuck D, Kendrick Lamar, El-P, and Outkast. Tim Westwood for his part unearthed a lost freestyle of Phife alongside Madlib.
