Accalia's POV
After the night my parents met, they had realized a couple of days after that I was conceived. I was born two weeks later and was named Accalia Lowella Volturi Uley. I was born with slightly tanned skin, dark brown hair, and blue eyes, which I've been told match my father's eyes when he was human.
Aro wasn't too happy about my birth in the beginning because he believed that Caius would leave to raise me with my mother. But with reassurance from Caius and the arrival of my vampire gift, telekinesis, he agreed that I would be a great addition to the coven.
My mother sadly passed when I was 5, although I looked 15, during a shopping trip at the hands of a nomad that had issues with my father, Caius Volturi. He was found 2 days later and beheaded. I was a wreck for quite some time resulting in my shifting. I had shifted into a large black wolf with bright red eyes.
My vampire side had fully matured 7 years after my birth and I now looked twenty. Being a wolf while living with a vampire had been tough on everyone. My father tried to help me as best he could but he had no idea what I was going through so with lots of persuasion on my side, he finally agreed to let me meet my mother's family in La Push, Washington.
Due to my wolf side, my vampire scent is overshadowed so I'm sure the other wolves in La Push won't know about me being part vampire. All they know is that I am Ellen Uley's daughter and that I have recently shifted.
I had packed most of my clothes, taking one last look at my large bedroom. It would be a while before I came back. As I closed the door, I sighed, anxious for what's to come. I closed the door and never turned back.
Before I left said goodbye to my uncles Aro and Marcus, and my best friends Felix, Demetri, Alec, and Jane. It was a heartfelt goodbye but they knew I needed to be around the other side of my family in order to get my wolf under control.
A black limousine was waiting in the covered garage that is under the castle. As I approached the vehicle, my father and another member of the guard were awaiting my arrival.
My father motioned for the guard member to load my bags into the limousine as he walked over to me and brought me into his arms.
"You will call me if anything happens, won't you?" he asked as he held me in a tight embrace.
"You know I will," I smiled, my eyes pricking with unshedable tears. "I'll miss you," I whispered sadly.
He pulled back and grabbed my face, "I'll miss you too, little wolf." He leaned forward and kissed my forehead, "I love you, always and forever."
"Always and forever," I repeated back. I stepped out of his embrace when I heard the limousine trunk close. I looked over to the sound and realized that my bags loaded into the trunk.
I looked back to my father, "I guess this is it."
"I suppose it is," he smiled sadly before brightening up, "have fun and be careful. If anyone tries to hurt you, call me and I will come tear them to pieces."
I laughed, "You can't just kill everyone who hurts me."
"Why not?" he asked innocently before his face was covered by a shit eating grin. "Yes, I know. But I sure as hell can try," he looked down at his watch, "It's time for you to leave."
I checked the time and indeed it was, I smiled once more, "goodbye father."
"Goodbye, little wolf," he stood back as I entered the car. He watched as the limousine drove out of the garage and to the airport. More specifically, to the Volturi's private plane that would take me to my destination, Seattle, Washington.
*Time skip 12 hours*
The flight lasted a long 12 hours with a stop in New York to refuel. I hopped off the plane and collected my luggage. I walked to the exit, looking for my cousin, whom I had never seen before.
As I scanned the area, a tall man with black hair and darker skin than myself approached me. A look of recognization in his eyes.
"Accalia?" The man asked
"Yes? Sam Uley?" I questioned
"Yeah. I'm here to pick you up," He stated
I walked closer to him, holding out my hand for him to shake, "Nice to meet you, Sam."
Instead of accepting my handshake, he pulled me into a tight hug, "Nice to meet you too kid." Pulling out of the hug he said, "You ready to go?" I nodded.
He grabbed the luggage from my hand and began walking outside, me trailing behind him. We entered a somewhat old-looking truck, Sam putting my luggage in the back.
"So what all do you know about the legends?" He asked when we were finally in his truck. He started the vehicle and pulled out of the airport's parking lot.
"My mom told me about the history behind us shifting, imprinting, and the treaty with the Cullens as a kid," I told him, turning to look at him
"And did she help you when you shifted?" He questioned, he looked at me before looking back at the road.
My smile turned into a frown at the thought of my mother, "She died. Before I shifted. Actually, her death was the reason I shifted," I said while looking at my hands.
"Oh, I'm so sorry kid," He said sadly
"It's fine. Wasn't your fault," I said in a small voice, "vampire got her. It happens," I shrugged
"Vampires suck," He responded, "you'll have to deal with some soon enough."
I thought better than to say I was a vampire myself and mumbled, "Yeah, I suppose."
Buildings slowly turned into trees as we got closer to La Push. The ride from Seattle was a long one filled with some small talk here and there, and the occasional silence. Soon enough, we had come upon a small house near the woods. It was nice, a lot different from the Volturi castle that I grew up in.
"The pack is here to meet you, if you'd like," I nodded at him in response and we walked up to the door. The smell of freshly baked muffins filled my nose.
Sam led the way through the house, setting my bags by the counter, and kissed the scars on what I assumed was his girlfriend's face. As he did that, I turned my head so I didn't stare and began observing the other males in the room. Three in total with the same black hair, tan-skinned, and body structure. Sam speaking is what broke me out of my observation.
"This is my fiance Emily," He said looking adoringly at her, "Emily, this is my cousin, Accalia."
I smiled at her, careful not to linger on her scars, and held out my hand. Once again, my handshake was rejected and I was pulled into a kind hug. I was beginning to get the feeling that these people liked hugs.
"It's so nice you meet you," Emily said, the smell of muffins coming off her.
"You as well," I said back
Sam stepped up to introduce me to the other people in the room when we pulled out of the embrace. "This is Jared Cameron, Paul Lahote, and Embry Call," He introduced while pointing at the person he named.
I nodded in acknowledgment, "It's nice to meet you."
"Finally! A girl!" The one Sam introduced as Embry exclaimed, "Imagine having to put up with these dumbasses all of the time."
I giggled while Jared scoffed, "You aren't a walk in the park either."
"I am a joy to be around, thank you very much," Embry said
As they continued on with that topic, Paul stepped forward, grabbing my hand and pressing a kiss on the back of it, "It's nice to meet you, pretty lady." A flirtatious smirk was on his handsome face.
I rolled my eyes at his audacious attitude, Sam grumbled, "no flirting with my cousin, Paul," before looking at the other two guys. Pointing at all of them, "that goes for all of you."
"Pshhh. I wasn't flirting, I was merely welcoming her to the pack," He said with a smirk, knowing we didn't believe his lie.
"Okay, enough introductions," Emily piped up, "Accalia, would you like a muffin?"
"Hey! I want one," both Jared and Embry exclaimed from behind.
"Ladies first," Emily scolded, handing me a muffin. I took a bite out of said muffin and it was, "Delicious! These are amazing, Emily."
She thanked me and we talked for a while, the boys joining in every now and then as they munched on muffins.
"Accalia, are you ready for your initiation?" Jared asked, a cocky smirk on his face
"What initiation?" I asked
"Cliff diving, duh!" Embry exclaimed excitedly
Seeing the incredulous expression on my face, Paul started to tease me, "Unless you are scared."
"Don't antagonize her Paul," Sam scolded, rolling his eyes
"No, I can handle him," I told Sam. Turning to Paul, I said in a taunting manner, "Bring it on, pup!"
"Oh! It's on now!" the guys laughed.
"To the cliffs!" Embry yelled, jumping up and pumping his fist into the air.
We all laughed, exiting the house and making our way to the cliffs. Sam laughed at our antics while shaking his head fondly, following after us after he gave Emily a soft kiss.
*time skip five minutes*
After five minutes of running, we finally arrived at the top of the cliff. I tugged my clothes off, leaving myself in my underwear so that I don't get my clothes wet. The boys all took their shirts off, leaving them in shorts.
"Alright newbie, I'm gonna show you how it's done," Paul said while running and doing a backflip off the clip.
As soon as he made a splash and broke the surface of the water, excitement filled me. It took Paul a couple of minutes to make it back up to the top.
"And that's how it's done," He laughed, "Show me what you got newbie."
I decided to show off, using my vampire skills to do a triple back handspring before launching myself off of the cliff. I successfully made my way through the water and came back up soon after, laughing from the adrenaline rush that I got. I made my way back to the top to brag to Paul that mine was better than his.
"How was that?" I asked innocently
"That. Was. AWESOME!" Paul, Embry, and Jared said simultaneously
"Your cousin is so cool Sam!" Embry exclaimed towards Sam
He laughed. "I know, I know. It runs in the family," He said smirking.
We spent the next few hours pushing each other off and taking turns jumping. Feeling like a family, a pack. Little did we know, a certain blood bag named Bella and a lovesick puppy name Jacob had seen all of it. Bella wondering what the hell was wrong with us and Jacob wondering who the new girl was.
