him and his group were investigating a series of robberies. they staked out out side what they suspected theyre would be the next one would be.  espio was on watch when he saw one of the guards for the facilty come in late at night looking around before going in with key card. espio got up camouflaging to follow them seeing the guard turn into a kid and they bolted off to where money was held. Espio stopped them (aka you) and you hit his back in fuetal attempts to break free. "i'm not gonna let you go, where are your parnets?" he asked.

"i dont have any family! why do you think i do this?!" you say mad with slight tears

"would you like to stay with me?"

"...really..? not turn me in?"

"well i'm not sure what they would do to a kid of your inteligence."

they saw you asleep when it was one of their turns with espio telling them that you were the mastermind behind all of it. then falling asleep.
