"See. That wasn't so bad. Now, was it?" Sonic said to Amy, as they were talking about how the party had ended since everyone else had already left the house. It was just them and Tails inside.

"Yeah, it wasn't." Amy said. "Thank you, for being there with me. It sure made me less nervous. And made me comfortable with talking to our friends again. I really appreciate it."

Sonic grinned at her.

"Hey, what time is it?" Amy asked.

Tails walked out of the kitchen while holding a mug in one if his hands. He slid the cuff of his white glove up to reveal his hidden watch underneath it. "It's 10:30. In easier terms, it's time to go to bed."

"It's nightfall already?" Amy said. "Wow."

"Yup, apparently it is." Sonic said. "That's what the yellow fox-genius just said."

"I think Amy should stay the night, Sonic." Tails suggested. "It would be more safer for her to, because it's really dark out."

"Yeah, I feel like I would be more comfortable with doing that. I don't like walking out late at night, it terrifies me." Amy stated.

"Alright." Sonic said. "If you say so, then tomorrow you can go back to your house. You're just staying here for today."

"That settles that. Then, you should probably sleep alone in Sonic's room." Tails said.

"Okay." Sonic said. "I'm fine with that. I'll go sleep on the couch."

"So, are you all settled in here? Do you want more pillows or are you good?" Sonic asked Amy, as he was standing near the bed with his back turned.

"Yes, I'm good. Thanks."

"You're welcome. I'll just be going now. And if you need me, I'll be downstairs." Sonic said. "Other than that, I hope you have a good night."

"Sonic." Amy ran to him. "Wait!" She stopped him from moving any further by holding his hand. "Please don't leave me here alone." She blushed. "if it's not too much to ask, I feel comfortable in your presence. I still feel scared from what happened with me and Scourge. I want you to stay with me. Please."

Sonic was awestruck, watching her eyes sparkle. He could tell that she was being honest with him. "Okay. I will stay with you, if it makes you feel safe and better. Then, I will." He returned the favor by lightly caressing his hand against her's, making her feel like she was loved by him.

Amy layed down in bed with Sonic behind her. He was spooning her in a comfortable way. "Don't worry, you're safe with me. I won't let anything bad happen to you ever again."

Amy didn't want to admit it outloud but it felt good to her that Sonic was wrapping his arms around her. She felt like she was being protected by him, and that she was being loved and cared for. She couldn't help but blush to herself and have her heart secretly melting for him.

She closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. She felt like she was at peace.
